[6.0] "A solidly good show that sadly didn't reach any high heights. I don't know if I can say I have a MOTN because the 3 best matches here were pretty equal in terms of their positives and negatives, and they were all so different from each other that my favourite would just be based on how I was feeling that particular day. Excluding the opener, the undercard was pretty worthless. AZM vs Kid was a fun sprint. They had strong chemistry as they blitzed through their many technical and agile exchanges. Some of the selling could have been better, but the pace kept it all quite engaging. Maybe this gets the slight edge as my MOTN. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Hanan vs Mina was a fine rookies match made up mostly of fundamental work and few lower-level 'flash' stuff. **1/4. Riho & Iida vs Natsu & Yuna was a generic and very boring 'big heels vs small babyfaces' match. Barely any of the offence looked convincing. **. Yama vs Natsupoi was too short to rate. Natsupoi showed off a few fun acrobatics, but Yama dragged everything down with her awful gimmick and lack of wrestling skills. NR. Momo vs Bea was alright but I hoped for much more. Bea's selling was a bit melodramatic but her leg-targeting was decently aggressive. Momo's kicks and her real-time selling were both good, but her long-term leg-selling was extremely inconsistent. Their exchanges were decent but not too exciting. ***. Tora & Saki vs Kyona & Konami was pretty bad. Tora and Saki just aren't good, so their beatdown work and weapon/prop spots were very underwhelming and unconvincing. Kyona and Konami got some okay comebacks but still had to sell for way too long, and then Konami's sudden turn on Kyona was plain dumb. **1/4. Saya & Utami vs Himeka & Maika was alright. The challengers had decent beatdown work, especially Himeka with her strength-displays and powerful attacks. Saya's face-in-peril-selling was pretty overkill and ear-piercing as usual, and her offence was still quite amateurish, though she had a few cool flashes. Utami's offence was better, at least. The exchanges and spots were okay but not very intense or creative, and their chemistry was 'fine' at best. ***. Giulia vs Tam was rather mixed, since on one hand it was rather generic and quite sloppy at points, but at the same time they had a few impressively creative spots, some enjoyably stiff trades, and they both showcased a LOT of intensity, which ultimately kept the match quite dramatic and engaging even while their chemistry wasn't the best. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Mayu vs Syuri had some nice kick trades and strong real-time selling/bumping, but Syuri's awfully hoarse screams and Mayu's poor long-term selling of her supposedly injured leg dragged the match down. They still had some good trades and spots throughout the match, but nothing I found especially creative or exciting -- just solidly good interactions. Disappointing as a main-event major title match. ***1/4 - ***1/2."

[8.0] "One of the better shows of 2020 and one of the few where I didn't really notice the lack of crowd noise. The opening hour, outside of the opener, was just your standard undercard matches, but everything from Momo vs Bea onwards was entertaining. The DDM/QQ tag title match was surprisingly my match of the night, although Giulia vs Tam wasn't far off. On the other hand, however the main event, which was the match I was most looking forward to going in, ended up being the 5th best match on the show to me and ended what was a consistently enjoyable show on a rather underwhelming note."

[8.0] "A few underwhelming matchtes in the middle of the show but otherwise just great wrestling. Really enjoyable and most likely Stardom's best show of 2020."

[9.0] "I cannot give it maximum score because there were a few pretty average matches. However Queen's Quest vs DDM tag match was incredibly good and my favourite of all fights. I highly recommend this show."

[9.0] "This show would've been perfect if matches in between AZM vs Kid and Momo vs Bea had been more memorable but all in all this was one of the best shows Stardom has ever had and could certainly give almost any other big event this year a run for its money. The opening match was very good, most likely the best match between AZM and Starlight Kid and in that title's recent history. Momo vs Bea was also very good given the time it was given, they certainly made the most of it. Oedo Tai vs TCS was an emotional faction war. Queen's Quest vs Donna del Mondo was an amazing tag match with three hosses and one of Saya Kamitani's best perforrmances in her young career. Giulia vs Tam will become an absolute classic for me, what a war. Mayu vs Syuri took a bit to get going but it was also really great by the second half and was a great way to close a show that I think will mark the true start of this new era in Stardom and will be remembered by fans for years to come."

[10.0] "One of the best events in 2020 and in Stardom's history: A great opening contest, with high pace, limbwork and some good near falls; showcase of two new talents like Natsupoi and Mina Shirakawa; the drama in TSC vs Oedo Tai with Konami's betrayal and Jungle's promo after match; an excellent tag match with one of the best performances of Saya Kamitani; and two insane main matches, with a MOTYC for me in the Main Event."

[9.0] "STARDOM was planning to run two shows in Yokohama Budokan on August 22nd and 23rd, but on August 15th, minutes before the show in EDION Arena Osaka #2, they decided to cancel it because of possible contact with a person who had COVID-19, even though that person wasn't on the show. They cancelled a lot of shows because of that, including those August 22nd/23rd Yokohama Budokan shows, their next show happened only on September 5th in Shin-Kiba 1st RING. Some time after that, they announced that they will try to have a show in Yokohama Budokan again, but this time not two, but only one, on October 3rd, and thankfully that show happened. This new venue is great, it looks big on camera, it feels big, sound is good. This show felt big and important, like a big stage. STARDOM-World VOD picks up sound from different source compared to Youtube stream where they broadcasted the first match for free LIVE. On VOD, this show is around 3. 5 hours (actual show was around 4h 05m long AFAIK). There's no commentary, sounds of the ring are louder compared to Youtube stream, even though quality of sound was a little bit worse. Pre-match VTR's were cut too. In-ring promos were not translated. Backstage promos are not included either, nothing but matches. Opener was great. AZM and Starlight Kid wrestled like veterans, they were not scared to death while trying very hard to not fuck anything up, justifying that by being young, inexperienced to a big stage up-and-coming wrestlers. They were in the "it's just another big show, only this time we're in the opening match" mode, they were calm and confident. I respect them for that, they had an awesome match, they killed it. Second match was advertised as Hanan vs. Z, Z was Mina Shirakawa. It was a short match with a lot of nearfalls, but nobody told Hanan to not outshine Shirakawa, because she looked more impressive than the debutant here. Tag Match gave all four wrestlers a chance to shine, but Saya Iida was the star, she pinned Sumire Natsu, and it was her biggest win in her career so far. Fourth match was advertised as DEATH Yama-san vs. new Donna del Mondo member, XXXX. XXXX was Natsumi Maki, now known as Natsupoi. DEATH Yama-san was very over. Natsupoi in her post-match promo stated she wants to go for High Speed Title. Donna del Mondo want to win everything, but before Natsupoi, nobody in DDM was really suitable for the High Speed Title, so now they can make their master plan a reality. Priestley/Watanabe felt like a first match in a long feud. TCS vs. Oedo Tai match doesn't need a review, that's a match that you need to see for yourself. Tag Team Titles match between QQ and DDM made Saya Kamitani a star. Giulia/Nakano was a wild spectacle about stubbornness and pride. Iwatani/Syuri was a masterclass in selling and textbook example of how to make every babyface comeback feel earned and meaningful. Great first big STARDOM show in the Bushiroad era, hopefully first of many."

[7.0] "This was a very good event, in fact it had a feeling of a huge event and basically delivered on almost all fronts. The undercard was truly good: I love how Azumi and Starlight are growing and Natsumi Maki was introduced as the "mystery" member of DDM. 10 minutes is about as long as I can tolerate a big Bea Priestley match before growing bored out of my skull (not a fan of her backyard/small indie style), but Momo's hands here are not entirely clean as well. Next up we have the Public Enemy straight from 90's WCW! No it's actually Oedo Tai for the continuation of a feud nobody asked for and Konami's heel promo was about as bad as her ordinary ones: she really really needs a manager because at this point she'll never get any better at promos. The title tag match was good by any standards but considering how little experience all four gals have it was absurdly good. Match of the night without a doubt and Saya Kamitani's stocks keep on rising. I hope she doesn't abuse that new finisher of hers but only keeps it for the big occasions such as this. Giulia vs Tam Nakano reminded somehow me of some Dean Malenko matches from the early 90's: they started out so fast and trying to pack so many big moves in five minutes they were out of ideas even before being out of breath. It was a good match but it would have benefitted from a somehow slower pacing. The main event was good by any standard, especially thanks to Syuri's excellent and methodic work to literally dismantle Mayu Iwatani: her experience here really showed through. The result was never in question though, which somehow detracts from match quality. I am very happy for Syuri to have signed for Stardom: yes, it's not the best environment, but in these trying times it means a steady paycheck instead of frantically looking for bookings. Very good event by any standard, albeit I am getting really tired of the whole Natsuko Tora/Jungle Kyona angle."
