[7.0] "Rey vs. Eddie delivered one of their best WWE matches, elevating the show. Hassan's debut had major heat, and the Mexicools impressed despite a bad gimmick. Solid main event build, but some filler."

[10.0] "The series of matches that Eddie and Rey had in 2005 were so good. This is arguably their best match they had in the WWE. This match ruled"

[8.0] "While this Smackdown does have your typical rocky 2005 era moments, but I thought this show delivered largely because it had one of the best matches of the entire year and the build to the main event picture was also pretty solid with a good segment that set up next week's Smackdown Championship match with Mohammad Hassan making an impactful debut as the new draft pick and getting so much heat that even JBL seemed like a face for like 5 seconds. It's a shame what ended up happening to him but there was no doubt he had a lot of upside at the time. This show also featured the debut of the "Mexicools" with Super Crazy, Psicosis and Juventud Guerrera making their Smackdown debuts. Unfortunately the gimmick was bad, but their offensive moves looked amazing. Unfortunately it interrupted yet another Cruiserweight Title match which has been a bottom tier belt for a long time now. There's a good opening segment with Randy Orton and Undertaker continuing to feud in a pretty spooky moment. Rey vs Eddie in the main event was fantastic because of the top tier storytelling going on throughout the match with Eddie Guerrero really doing some of the best heel work in his entire career. Absolutely a hidden gem between the two and a very strong finish to the show. There's a few filler moments here, but overall this was one of the better 2005 Smackdown shows."
