[2.0] "More lousy early ECW TV, with only Heyman's promo and commentary to keep us warm at night. Muraco wins the title and, hey, I mean I like Muraco but he probably shouldn't have won any major titles in 1993. Not that ECW comes off as at all major yet..."

Watching Old Man Muraco win the championship just sucks to see, as he's already slow enough in the ring and I can't imagine having to watch him fight anyone else. This episode was not rewarding to watch."

[5.0] "I thought this was a pretty decent episode of early Hardcore TV. I was very happy for Don Muraco to get that title off of The Sandman during this episode. We get good teases for the upcoming event and even a tease during the show of the next couple of episode of Hardcore TV which are taking place in the ECW Arena. The World Title match was my favourite thing on this show but I also thought the tag match was decent. The first match was pretty miserable and Max Thrasher sucked so JT Smith didn't have a chance."

Could've used that time to do the special ECW announcement that spoiled next weeks episode instead of cutting into the JT Smith/Max Thrasher match. A couple matches seemed to go on for a bit too long. A few funny moments on commentary by Paul E Dangerously and Stevie Wonderful, but not enough to really make me enjoy this show. Be sure to check out the full show analysis on the Extreme Timeline podcast, available everywhere."
