[7.0] "Solid show. Yoshi Hashi vs Sanada and Tanhashi vs Juice were both ***1/4 quality, worth watching once. Yano vs Evil was what one expects it to be. I liked it but I'm a Yano fan. The main event was as expected: quality and predictable, capped at ***1/2. The surprise of the show, which is why I have to raise the grade to a 7, was the ZSJ/Kenta match. Kenta is good but underwhelming in New Japan as far as in-ring goes, but he and ZSJ made magic happen with their match. I gave it the edge for the Match of the Night, worthy of a ***1/2 or ***3/4 rating. No bad matches on the card really. Just a good, solid night of B Block action."

[4.0] "Hmm.. this show is hmmm... 1) SANADA/HASHI - ***. I was so mad we didnt get to see the battle of the worst submission moves in wrestling today, the armpit face lock vs the butterfly lock, such a huge waste of opportunity. 2) KENTA/ZSJ - ***3/4. This was a notch below their great match last year, but still very enjoyable. Basically, KENTA beat the shit out of Sabre, who worked beneath as a babyface, and did a fantastic job with his timing on comebacks, making the match very compelling and exciting. 3) Tanahashi/Robinson - ***. Juice spent a substantial amount of time flirting with the crowd and stalling for no reasons, Tanahashi also spent majority of the time on autopilot mode, result was still fine, but they can do better. Oh, and they kinda botched the ending too. 4) EVIL/Yano - DUD, maybe a -*. This could very well be the worst semi-main event in G1 Climax history. This is exactly the kind of match youll be ashamed to show non-wrestling fans, cause they will immediately jump to the conclusion of wrestling is a idiotic joke watched only by morons. 5) Goto/Naito - ***1/2. Goto and Naito always have questionable chemistry, they shared the ring hundreds of times in their careers, but none of their singles match stands out. We know theyre both great wrestlers, judging by other matches with different opponents, but these two just never clicked, and in my opinion, probably never will. Overall, this might be the worst night of G1 so far, the matches werent bad, they were just painfully average, lets hope b-block bounces back next show."

[7.0] "Really solid night of action even if there wasn? t anything blow away. Only ZSJ vs Kenta was a must see match. It was a great mix of strikes and submissions and was about on par with their match at the G1 A finals last year."

[7.0] "A good show with everyone working hard. No real blowaway matches but usually bigger matches in the G1 are not set for Korakuen Hall. Naito-Goto was great, they have great chemistry together; Yano got a surprising upset win over Evil, which the crowd seemed to love; Tana-Juice was solid with a neat roll-up win for Tana; Kenta-Zack was a great mixture of Kenta's hard kicks and strikes and Zack's submission mastery; and lastly Yoshi-Hashi continues to be one of the hardest working guys in the tournament with a big win over Sanada. Good stuff!"

[6.0] "Peaking at an 8/10 and featuring my least favourite Yano and Young Lion matches so far, this really wasn't anything to write home about. Not bad but the kind of mid-tournament show that most fans skip for a reason."

[7.0] "Well, another night that I rate with a 7 during the G1 Climax 30. Like the other 5 nights, this one had good matches that were well placed. Looking forward to the other nights of the tournament and I'm hoping a ***** appears soon."
