[2.0] "Day 1 of the AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament was a very awful start to said tournament with Anna and Tay Vs Nyla and Ariane being really bad and Nightmare sisters Vs Mel and Ford being just atrocious."

[4.0] "To be honest, this tournament will be forgotten very quickly. And I'm pretty sure that the teams have been chosen in advance, which to me is very stupid. In short, this is not the tournament that will showcase the AEW women's division."

[5.0] "I was satisfied with what I saw, no none of the matches are going to be remembered and it showed why it shouldn't have been on Dynamite and it was right decision to put it on YouTube, if they had their full roster were able to bring in a lot more Joshi's and European talent it could have been a tournament to watch out for but alas. But I took positives from the show, Anna Jay and Tay Conti (if she signs) will over time be pluses for the women's division, i thought both were fine in the last match. Nyla selling was excellent and made the match watchable. Penelope Ford is really going to be a star for AEW. Also I really loved Veda Scott on commentary, if they do that second show she be a good shout for been on that show's commentary team. Brandi/Allie's last promo was very good, also I think Allie has shown she's a decent worker over the last few weeks. Negatives, didn't like the first match at all. Brandi for me works better as a valet/Manager and god her spear is awful finish. Mel, i just don't get the appeal with her, she's tall but just isn't a good worker, stick her as Ford's and Sabian's bodyguard. Jay and Conti's promo segments were awkward, but they are at that point in their careers that they are still learning and Conti is still learning English. I hope from this tournament they use it to find two or three experience names to be signed up."

[5.0] "The first match had some decent intrigue but was sort of boring and didn't have much heat. The second match wasn't a work of art or anything but it had an interesting finish with the newcomers going over and Nyla reacting badly. I think a 5/10 is reasonable here."

[3.0] "I appreciate the effort but the AEW Women's division is very VERY bad, Shida is probably the only competent worker they have. I don't know how you let Deonna Purazzo go to Impact but sign girls like Tay Conti. She adds nothing to the division."

[2.0] "Since the women's division of AEW has been so trash up till now (I blame Brandi Rhodes) I had extremely high expectations for the first show of The Deadly Draw. Unfortunately, it was just an extended version of the crap they have already given us. Along with too many managers and some abysmal wrestling, this show was tragic."

[3.0] "In terms of wrestling quality, this has been AEW's worst show to date. Production waw fine, I was happy to see (hear) Veda Scott on commentary, and Anna Jay impressed the hell out of me. All things considered though, this was an extremely weak debut week for this women's tag tournament."

[3.0] "I appreciate AEW being ambitious with its women's division, but this was definitely a misfire, unfortunately. Madusa's appearance was a fun surprise but didn't really add anything of substance. The opening match was an unremarkable affair at best, and unconvincing in the finish - Brandi's spear doesn't look very impactful and turning her heel again (as the finish and post-show promo implied) feels like a massive misstep. The second match was a little better, with Nyla dragging things up to a higher standard and Conti's strikes looking pretty damn good, but it was still unexciting and not smoothly worked. Anna Jay shows some promise but still has a ways to go until she's the finished product, and having former champion Nyla exit so early (even if it's a somewhat protected loss) isn't good for her killer aura, or for this tournament's prestige. The tournament's gimmick of being random pairings doesn't help, as virtually every competitor on display here was a heel, making it more challenging to build emotional investment in the matches, especially given how little exposure most of these women have been given to the AEW audience. Two poor-to-middling quality matches and no enjoyable angles or character work, this was a rough (but brief) watch. Veda Scott made a decent color commentator, at least."

[3.0] "Two boring matches whose only highlight was some good leg selling by Nyla Rose. Nothing catastrophically bad if you know what you are getting into but Brandi's in-ring work is somehow getting even worse than before. Good idea giving it away for free."

[4.0] "The first match sucked but the second match was surprisingly good. Ariane was still kinda bad but definitely improved a little from what I remember. Tay Conti and Anna were really good together and Tay Conti really came off as the show stealer on this show. Can't wait for Anna to get a worker profile so I can rate this match because this match saved this show. Nightmare Sisters are still not impressive at all"
