[7.0] "The high points on this show were great. Cena/JBL and Eddie/Rey were both top notch and the MNM match and CW title match were both pretty good as well. The rest was kinda underwhelming/bad."

[8.0] "A very solid card with a fantastic main event. There really were no stinkers on this show outside of the US title match, although the Angle/Booker match had an awkward finish and an uncomfortable storyline going into it. The opening tag match really got the show off on the right foot and Charlie Haas had an incredible performance in defeat. The cruiserweight match was good as well and London looked great in a slower paced match than he is used too. Rey/Eddie definitely could have been more but they had a decent match that was obviously going to become something more down the line, and Cena/JBL really stole the show in the end with a remarkable I Quit match that ended in a bloody mess. Heidenreich/Jordan was a throwaway but everything else on this card was enjoyable to watch. 4 star show."

[6.0] "A very good, but maybe slightly overrated show. The majority of this card was above average, but I wouldn't say anything tore the roof off the place either. The show is bookended by the best matches on the card by far. And it's really bad when I call a Charlie Haas and Hardcore Holly tag match better than both a Kurt Angle match and an Eddie/Rey match. Comparing this show to Raw's Backlash from the previous month perfectly captures the difference in the two shows, too. Raw had more star power and far better storylines, but Smackdown had the better in-ring work. A good show all in all, but it was a little shy from being really great."

[8.0] "Apart from Heidenreich vs Jordan everything here clicked and it was fantastic to watch - the quality was increasing with every match and it ended with a bang. The opener showed how good MNM were as they made the crowd chant for Holly, Carlito vs Big Show as alright for what it was and I was glad to finally see Colon wrestle on a PPV, London vs Chavo was a fun little cruiserweight bout and Booker vs Angle had a questionable story attached to it, but a psychopathic Kurt made it kinda work for me. Then Eddie showed what a fantastic mind for the wrestling psychology he had as he slowed down the match and made the fans boo him, which wasn't the easiest job considering the fact how over he was a few months back. And then the main event was the best thing on the show with JBL and Cena delivering a bloody match that made John look like the top guy, which they didn't fully achieve during their WrestleMania match. But here everything was well done, it was brutal but enjoyable to watch at the same time and it was another phenomenal heel performance from JBL. A great PPV without any of the WWE 2004-05 bollocks, just a very well done wrestling show."

[9.0] "Excellent PPV here with a really strong card and in particular two excellent main event matches with the great storytelling really putting Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio over the top for me and then the unbelievably violent "I Quit" match, which was a true star making performance from John Cena as he is covered in his own blood from head to toe against JBL, which is an iconic visual to say the least! There's also a surprisingly strong MNM vs Haas/Holly tag title match, a very good London vs Chavo Cruiserweight Title match, and despite the bad story Booker T vs Angle is also a very solid match. It's a strong card here with the weaker matches being Carlito vs Show feeling more like a Smackdown angle than a PPV match and also a lacklustre Jordan vs Heidenreich match. Despite those things and the weird Angle pre-match stuff, this was a very strong show because the main matches delivered big time!"

[8.0] "Surprised this has such a low rating and even more surprised that i'm giving it such a high rating. Brand split PPVs are usually trash but there isn't a bad match on this show. Can't think of a WWE PPV that showcases such a variety of styles on it, with great examples of tag wrestling, cruiserweight wrestling and old school blood/guts brawls. Proper lightning in a bottle stuff because i doubt this carried on as far as 2005 WWE is concerned."

[8.0] "1) ***1/4 Decent match, solid effort for MNM's PPV debut 2) The only payoff of this match was MM's interference, can't rate it (hell, he sucked! ) 3) ***1/4 Another decent match, maybe a bit disappointing 4) Third ***1/4 of the night. Hopefully they paid Kurt extra $$$ to play the rapist. 5) From a rapist to a pedophile, Vince probably laughed his ass off... Thankfully only 5 minutes. 6) ***3/4 DQ sucks when the match is good 7) ****1/4 JBL greatest match ever. I think nobody thought this was going to be that good. Except the 2 5 minutes matches/angle, everything was decent with a great peak in the last 2 matches. I'd give it 7. 5."

[6.0] "Judgment Day 2005 is boring for most of the time, Booker T vs Kurt Angle is a mess without any reason to watch it, the post-match seemed infinite to me. Even Paul London vs Chavo Guerrero wasn't good as I expected. But the worst match is probably Orlando Jordan vs Heindenreich. The other matches are entertaining and the main event is good. Matt Morgan's F5 wasn't good like the original. Decent event, but sometimes boring."
