[7.0] "Jon Moxley is so tiresome. I have NEVER enjoyed his character work and he's still the exact same character SIX years later. He has yet another pretape here where he says how hard, how tough, how unstoppable he is. Give me a fucking break. It's the most juvenile idea of a "badass". Anyway, this was a solid episode. Nice opening tag. Funny ongoing stuff with Britt Baker, it's such a shame how her career has soured in AEW because she's hilarious in her segments. Abadon squashes Anna and sends her into the arms of the Dark Order. Cody has a solid match with Ricky, the Bucks have a frankly laborious match riddle with interference. And Sammy wrestles for the one hundreth week in a row. He really was a work horse during Covid"

[7.0] "A good event for tag team wrestling specifically, with three of the best matches of the night (including the opener, which was my MOTN) being tag matches. The Cody match was solid too. I'm excited to see Hangman and Kenny vs Best Friends at Fyter Fest."

"A good show, particularly the Best Friends vs Le Sex Gods match, was nice to see a more aggressive side and a different dynamic of them Also to see a fired up Orange Cassidy. Particular weak point was the Wardlow match, who at this point, is still pretty green."

[7.0] "[Page&Omega/Natural Nightmares] Decent. QT held his own here -- a pleasant surprise -- and Hangman's hot-tag run was a highlight. As an aside, the multiple camera cuts to Britt Baker were highly distracting. (***1/2) [Abadon/Jay] Major upset; potentially interesting in terms of storyline development. (NR) [MJF/Billy] Despite showing signs of promise in the early going, this match simply kept going downhill and was pretty much deflated by the finish. Anyway, s/o MJF for a typically good showing -- consistent limb work. (***) [Cody/Starks] Short 'n' sweet promo by Starks. Match itself was decent, the sense of urgency palpable throughout. (***1/2) [Young Bucks/SBS] A disappointing affair. Had all the flaws of a typical Young Bucks match -- overbooked, overindulgent, an occasional disregard for tag rules -- with not enough of the goods to balance it out. And thus I found myself in the unfamiliar situation of cutting in and out of a Young Bucks match! Having said that, s/o SBS for trying to keep the match grounded with some methodical work on Matt's midsection -- which, as expected, all went to waste once Matt stopped selling and hit the Northern Lights without fail. (***) [Best Friends/LSG] Loved this. Excellent pacing and timing made every second of this interesting. A logical, satisfying finish. MOTN. (***3/4) Perhaps the REAL highlight of the show, however, came right afterwards when OC finally pounded somebody's arse for realz -- really selling me on his feud with Jericho. Overall, a fun episode of TV wrestling."

[8.0] "Pretty good Dynamite, in my opinion by far the most fun match was the Best Friends vs. the Inner Circle in the main event. God bless the fact that a Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy feud exists, but even putting that aside I had a great time with this match. Also thought MJF vs. Billy Gunn over-performed all thing's considered, I like the character driven stuff and Gunn isn't at all bad considering his age. I wasn't actually that excited about Cody vs. Starks, as I don't see Starks as a big deal, but I still enjoyed the moment and the match. I though the Bucks/Havoc & Sabian match was awful though, I couldn't wait for it to be over."

[8.0] "Page & Omega vs. Natural Nightmares exceeded expectation. Omega is simply so good as long as who he's in the ring with is technically sound. It told a great story and had the right competitive balance ***. Abadon vs. Anna Jay was too short to rate as a match but the swerve of setting up the intro to Anna Jay only to have her squashed and then the following segment with Dark Order was slick and served its purpose. MJF vs. Billy was a solid match although I'm not so sure I buy the idea of a guy knocking out huge dudes with a ring in 2020 **. Cody vs. Ricky Starks was really fun and felt longer than 8:34 (in a good way in that I fell that there was way more than 8 minutes worth of action and story telling packed into that match) ***. Young Bucks vs. SuperBad Squad was another really solid tag match although there was too much interference for my taste and it was too lopsided in that Havoc and Sabian dominated too much of the early action, then it devolved into a cluster, then the bucks hit their moves and won, it was a little clunky. Good spots though. **1/2. Best friends vs. Le Sex Gods was very solid and had great psychology and a really good finish. ***1/2. I was really pleased with this show as all the content, also including the Big Swole kidnapping Britt Baker angle was all good to great. It's a real accomplishment to put together a solid show from top to bottom with no stinkers of matches, boring segments, or cringey moments, so that earns bonus points from me."

[9.0] "I think this was one of the best COVID-era Dynamite shows. The whole show felt high-octane and energetic, almost Attitude-Era-like in some of the chaos and multiple things happening at the same time. It's obvious that AEW is experimenting right now a little bit with the format, still being restricted by not having many of the established acts being available on a weekly basis. The opener was a decent match, but turned out to be actually the worst of three really good tag team matches on the show. The women's match was surprisingly quick, but managed to get over Abadon, recover Anna Jay by aligning her with the Dark Order, continued the Dark Order storyline with the stable stealthily becoming a really interesting faction, undoubtedly being set up for a big storyline in the next few months. I did not like MJF having trouble with Billy at first, but the match was well-worked and MJF used it expertly to further his persona of someone who gets what he wants with any means necessary. Also nice to see the rivalry with Jungle Boy continued, I like that a lot. Ricky Starks' debut was stellar, the match with Cody was really competitive and looked almost like a real fight a couple of times. Good showing. Cody teasing the Four Horsemen in his promo was golden. The Bucks against the SBS started like a typical Bucks match (in both good and bad ways), but the heat section was really good in my opinion and established the Squad personas well. Especially Havoc looked good here. The interferences by B& B, Ford and later FTR were maybe a bit much, but I liked that the match still got a clear finish. AEW does not do bullshit DQ finishes and I appreciate that. The main event was also really good, with Best Friends finally showing a mean streak at the beginning and OC getting some revenge on Jericho for that brutal attack last week. Only the backburner build for Mox vs. Page felt a bit off. Really liked the Britt Baker bits, she's come a long way! Great show!"

[9.0] "Very good tv show! I love how Kenny and Page are really workhorse champions, defending against anyone who ranks high enough. Not to say that I liked this particular match even more than I expected, Dustin is great and QT develops into a smooth old-school "rassler". Also loved the Bucks match, high in action and the main event. Adam Page & Kenny Omega vs. The Natural Nightmares ***1/2 MJF vs. Billy Gunn **1/2 Abadon vs. Anna Jay N/R Cody vs. Ricky Starks ***3/4 The Young Bucks vs. SuperBad Squad ***1/2 Best Friends vs. The Inner Circle ***"

[8.0] "Omega & Page v. Natural Nightmares (6/10) - Definitely my least favorite title defense from Omega & Page yet, but the ultimate proof that Dustin Rhodes is a legend man. Abadon v. Anna Jay (1/10) - Absolute squash, but a really interesting one, can't wait to see what comes of this. MJF v. Billy Gunn (4/10) - the match wasn't anything crazy to write home about other than I'll never get sick of seeing Billy intimidate MJF, but that ending brawl after the match was awesome. Cody v. Ricky Starks (7/10) - A genuinely good match, and would love to see them go at it again for longer, both guys showed good aggression. The Young Bucks v. SuperBad Squad (6/10) - Something didn't really click here in the beginning and looked off and slow, but it really picked up towards the end. Sabian is great when he's being a cocky heel. Best Friends v. Le Sex Gods (7/10) - The fire from Best Friends was great to see, Trent has a really sick spear. Smart to let Trent and Sammy do a lot of the action here, but Chuck and Jericho held their own. The ending with O. C. was great too."

[9.0] "Consistently excellent episode, filled with lots of great little vignettes and character work. There's too many to mention, but everybody in this show did a great job of creating small, memorable moments to do something unique and make themselves stand out. The opening tag title match was slightly rough around the edges for a few spots (in particular a whiffed bulldog) but was still fundamentally sound, with QT and Hangman in particular showing off their fire and athleticism. The Abadon-Anna Jay match was genuinely brilliant in all regards - the result came out of nowhere, the post match angle was surprising and exciting but still logical, and both women came out of it looking like ones to watch in the future. MJF vs Billy Gunn was great, everything you would hope for - entertaining, scrappy and just two charismatic muscle guys showing their talents. Cody vs Starks was a fun little match and a good showcase for an outside talent, with Cody's gradual shift in attitude really starting to click this week. The Bucks vs SuperBad Squad was the match of the night, just outstanding tag wrestling between two excellent teams, impressive in both its storytelling and its flashiness. The main event took a little while to get going, and Matt Hardy was surprisingly bland as a guest commentator, but the intensity was great and the finish was really fun and inventive stuff. An almost flawless show from top to bottom, well worth going out of your way to watch."

[7.0] "This was a good show, but nothing outstanding or worth going out of your way to see. Omega & Page vs Natural Nightmares was good and had some really strong sequences, but was held back by the fact that we have been given absolutely no reason to care about the natural nightmares: ***1/2. Abadon vs Anna Jay was a squash, but a very interesting angle: NR. MJF vs Billy Gunn was pretty bland, but got the job done and had its moments: **1/2. Cody vs Ricky Starks was very good, Starks was such a fiery challenger and I really hope this isn't the last we see of him in AEW, and my main gripe with this match was that it didn't go longer: ***1/2+. Young Bucks vs Superbad Death Squad had some good moments, but mainly when the Bucks were on offense and dragged a lot in the middle: ***-. Best Friends vs Le Sex Gods was good, I loved the fire shown by Best Friends that we don't usually see from them, however this match never really kicked into that next gear: ***1/4+."
