[6.0] "A mixed bag of quality, but as far as the in ring performances go this is a solid show and largely enjoyable. There is some really egregious booking decisions here though, which is typical of this era of CZW and really ruins the hard work being done in the ring. The first comes with the count out loss for Ruckus in a triple threat match, incredibly dumb. The second is to have the ref screw B-Boy and claim he tapped against Strong in the quarter final, it kills the crowd for that one. The final then pays for a tired crowd, who are distracted by something right at the start and never truly come back from that"
[5.0] "The show's intro was too meta and catered to Zandig's monstrous ego, but the crowd got really behind the surprise return of Justice Pain. The first round started off with a quick stiff battle that sets the tone, followed by a hard-hitting contest with a crappy ending, then a great high-flying match that was fast and precise, and finally the first round concluded with a magnificent display of agility and flawless fluidity that wowed the crowd. Hero/Hernandez was an average contest that lacked a spark but gives a nice victory for Chris Hero. In the quarterfinals, Homicide/Evans was nothing more than a squash that felt uncomfortable, Strong/B-Boy was a fun snug contest that made Roderick look like a cool killer, Shelley/Quance was crisp and fluid with both guys coming off looking great and in control of their acumen, while Petey/Sonjay lacked the explosive quality of its predecessor but accomplished its task with energy and gusto. Gage/Maff was a nice explosive change of pace, a really nice buffer. In the semifinals, Strong/Homicide was another big performance for Roderick Strong, the unofficial MVP of the show, as he matched Homicide in the striking department, while Sonjay/Quance really underdelivered and made for a bland uneventful semifinals. The 4-Way Match was extremely cool, not only because of the high-quality spotfest they provided, but also because everybody had a role and character that they played to perfection and gave great balance and depth to the match. The Finals went very badly, from the crowd being distracted, to the action being fuzzy, but most egregious was the finish that looked weak as hell, phony like nothing else and left the crowd silent or booing, completely undercutting the victory of Sonjay Dutt. The show was weird, in that the quality seemed to go down and down, with good contenders falling down progressively and the Finals burning out and ending in a whimper. Good potential and variety, but very lackluster execution on an average event."
[8.0] "If you are looking for CZW shows to watch, this is one of them. For quality review of the show, i recommend checking out this: https://wrestlingrecaps. com/other-companies/czw-best-of-the-best-iv-7102004/ The show is long, might be too long, but its a good plentiful dose of 2004 indy wrestling with some top names included. Good idea to watch the show in two parts at different days. The Xtreme tournament is a treat in middle of the long card. BOTB formula is to give shorter 7-12 min fast paced Jr-heavyweight matches, especially at the 1st round. You wont see any "5-star matches" here, but many nice shorter cruiserweight matches. Having first round all 3-way matches is something different as it mixes up a lot different names. Chris Cash vs. Homicide vs. Jack Evans (**½) They do as much as they can inside the time frame. B-Boy vs. Jimmy Rave vs. Roderick Strong (***¼-***½) Awesome. At the end this gets voted as the fans choice for best 1. round 3-way. Alex Shelley vs. Bobby Quance vs. Ruckus (**¾) Nate Webb vs. Petey Williams vs. Sonjay Dutt (**¾-***) Fun match. Chris Hero vs. Hotstuff Hernandez (***¼-***½) Good fresh heavyweight match. Dynamic is great. Surprising stuff & good hits. Homicide vs. Jack Evans (***) Classic beatdown story being told here. Homicide dominates and it works. B-Boy vs. Roderick Strong (**½) Alex Shelley vs. Bobby Quance (***¼) Real combat here. Quance shines. Great armbars & submissions. Petey Williams vs. Sonjay Dutt (***¼) Good match. Pretty long so it has some depth. Dan Maff vs. Nick Gage (***½+) Tough enjoyable fight. Great momentum and entertaining delivery. Chairs flying in, hard shots and stiff throws. Homicide vs. Roderick Strong (***) Ok match, but they cant gather any momentum. Bobby Quance vs. Sonjay Dutt (***¼-***½) Wow. All this in 6 mins! Superb dynamic. 4-Way Dance (*¾) Boring filler. Roderick Strong vs. Sonjay Dutt (**¾) Decent struggle, but both are exhausted & the finish is bad and has no momentum."
[7.0] "Okay tournament show. Never really heard of Bobby Quance but he had a pretty good showing here. No amazing super-standout matches though, my favourite of all was probably the wild Jack Evans v Homicide match."
