[5.0] "The first Taboo Tuesday shows that the event had legs. However, it would create other problems. This show seems largely legit. No one knew what their match would be. On one hand, this is very exciting. On the other, the matches seem disjointed and confused like the Kane/Snitsky match. Down the line, the voting wouldn't seem nearly as honest. Or the matches would be so clearly tilted that the voting allure was gone, but the matches were better. Triple H and Shawn is the only highlight here. It is a solid show, but as mentioned, it gets confused at times."

[6.0] "The most passable show since Wrestlemania and it's basically a 5.5/10 lol. Triple H/HBK was different than all their other matches but I actually preferred it like this, without all the overly drawn-out stuff. Orton/Flair was great, though a little short, and Shelton/Jericho was very good too. Everything else was once again rough, however."

[3.0] "This show got bailed out due to the phenomenal main event between Ortan/Flair. Shelton/Jericho was a great way to get the crowd hot but it eventually died down until the last two matches. Personally I hated HHH/Shawn it had no redeeming qualitys in my eyes. Screwy match with a screwy finish but im glad its still remembered. All the other matches were terrible aswell and I'm not getting into those, just simply look at the piles of shit they were throwing at us. Not a good show at all"

[3.0] "The idea seemed great, but in reality I much rather prefer a show with guys knowing what they'll do tonight to deliver something better for the PPV. Instead a lot of it is called on the go, so we don't get anything special and it feels like a deluxe episode of RAW. Plus some guys like Grenier had absolutely no idea how to work the match that hasn't been laid out to them beforehand. But on the other hand Benjamin vs Jericho happened and it was the best example that if you're talented enough you can have a great match without preparing for it. Also HHH vs Michaels was fine even with HBK's injury and Orton with Flair surely knew that they were going to get that Steel Cage Match so they were able to prepare for it. But the rest... The Battle Royal was insulting, Snisky vs Kane sucked, Eugene vs Bischoff was a prolonged angle and Christy vs Carmella was another bullshit for virgins in the crowd. A bad PPV and if you want to have this kind of thing you need to have only veterans and talented rookies involved."

[4.0] "While the fan-voting gimmick was undoubtedly a lot of fun, the end result of WWE's first attempt at using it for a PPV was decidedly a mixed bag. We do get at least three good matches, with Flair vs Orton in the main event an easy pick for match of the night. The opener between Jericho and Benjamin was also very good and the second-best match here, which is especially impressive considering that, with the fan-voting being reportedly legit, Jericho apparently legitimately didn't know who he'd be wrestling, and Benjamin didn't know if he'd be wrestling at all prior to the match (I'd guess that, assuming again that it really was all legit, they may have been anticipating Batista to win the vote). HHH vs HBK wasn't the best match they ever had against each other, but it was still good, and did a fine job of both covering for Michaels' legitimate injury and incorporating it into the match. The rest of the show wasn't nearly as strong - Benoit & Edge vs La Resistance was decent, but primarily a vehicle for Edge's heel turn, Snitsky vs Kane was a pretty uninspiring hoss battle, Eugene vs Bischoff was a largely inconsequential comedy spot, and both the battle royal and the Christy vs Carmella pillow fight - which collectively took up way too much time here - and serve as demonstrations of the unfortunate-in-retrospect, but endemic-to-the-time usage of the female talent in this era. In the end a watchable show, but mostly not one to go out of your way for."

[6.0] "This PPV was.... interesting. There is a massive dip in quality between the best and the worst stuff on this show and it times this was a total mess, yet somehow I found myself somewhat enjoying it. The Jericho v Shelton match was really good considering the match had to have been called on the fly and Shelton's Intercontinental Title win was a great moment where it felt like the show was as advertised where the fans votes made it happen. The Edge heel turn was brewing for months and when it finally happened here I thought it was very well executed when he walks out of his tag team match and then costs Shawn Michaels his match against Triple H. I thought the Tag Title match was far better than the overall rating suggests and I liked the storytelling around Shawn Michaels injury against Triple H. Flair vs Orton in the Cage was also a strong main event to close the show. Unfortunately the concept of the show in general was problematic and theres some bad matches with bad stipulations that did end up wasting a lot of time. The worst of which being Eugene vs Bischoff and the two T and A matches which showed just how badly things was booked with the women at the time. Kane v Snitsky had a good angle at the finish, but wasn't a good match either."

The voting concept was exciting at the time but most of the choices were not actually very interesting. Come on, school girl battle royal AND a pillow fight between two women who did not actually know how to wrestle? Plus a big Snitsky push continues. And Eugene vs. Bischoff! Come on!"

[5.0] "This show is a bit difficult to rate. Half the card is rubbish and while the gimmick is fun the implementation was a bit of a mixed bag. A lot of the matches aren't great quality if viewed in a vacuum, but the PPV really succeeded as a live experience due to how eventful it felt. Two surprise title changes and a big heel turn (with two main event level feuds immediately set up) left fans a lot to talk about, and all of these storylines were pulled off very well. The main event is a strong way to close the show and easily MOTN. This show probably won't hold up well for new fans and at the very least you can safely skip half the card, but I think anybody who is a fan of the classic blood drenched cage match style (as opposed to the more spot oriented cage matches we often see today) should definitely check out the main event."

[4.0] "Liked the concept for a pay per view but this show had some major flaws. Firstly both women's matches were more about sex appeal than competition. The Snitsky/Kane and Eugene/Bishoff were also bad. Benjamin and Jericho put on a good performance on the fly. The tag titles match was alright. HHH and HBK put on a strong performance as always and Flair and Orton put on a good match as well. Commentary was good outside of the women's and Eugene matches where everything about those segments were bad even JR and Lawler could not make that work."

[5.0] "This event has a strange setting. First 'choosen by the fans' and a tuesday pay per view, the day after Raw. Maybe except for the fans choice in the Intercontinental Championship match, everything sounded setted up before or really predictable. Most of the matches were disappointing, event HHH vs HBK had nothing new to add to their feud. The worst thing was to see Edge runs out on Benoit, breaking a stipulation that maybe fans wanted to see. The Chain match showed Snitsky had no skills at all, and Lingerie Pillow Fight and Hair vs Hair match were a waste of time. Orton vs Flair is a good match, but not capable of getting the score much higher."
