[9.0] "This is probably the best Smackdown episode post-draft, as this episode was full of good wrestling and really good story progression, and the opening segment featured Teddy Long's debut as GM, as well as his face turn. The main event was really good, as was the tag title match and cruiserweight title match, which started the build to Spike's heel turn."

[9.0] "It wasn't perfect but this was actually a really satisfying episode of Smackdown to watch where all of the matches was really solid, the story progression was good and Theodore Long being made the GM and turning face was something that felt really fresh as the WWE had been dominated by heel authority figures for more than a year at that point! He was very entertaining to watch all show. Spike Dudley winning the Cruiserweight Title was good with a strong storyline angle at the finish, the Tag Title match was excellent with Paul London and Billy Kidman continuing to entertain as the unlikely champions and while the US Title match wasnt perfect, I thought it was still a solid main event and a good way to get the title on Booker T. Eddie Guerrero's segment where he steals Kurt Angle's stuff is hilarious to watch as well. Best Smackdown in quite some time!"

[8.0] "Teddy Long is randomly made the GM of SD to start the showoff. None of the matches are killer TV matches or anything but they are all good in their own way and each one gets enough time to develop. The Eddie/Angle segment was very good and the best thing on the entire show. Overall this was a very strong SD."
