[4.0] "Myron Reed (c) -vs- Laredo Kid - (MLW Middleweight Title) [** 1/4] Had some incredibly scary/near accidental looking bumps. Otherwise it was the same old story of Jordan Oliver & Kotto Brazil continually trying to help their mate Myron. Was at least good for what it was. Mance Warner -vs- Gino Medina [*] Barely registered. Killer Kross -vs- Tom Lawlor [* 3/4] I was enjoying the match, but that was such a underwhelming finish."
[5.0] "Had been looking forward to these three matches and was disappointed with all of them. So much more could have been achieved with the talent on show. Still they were all entertaining and as usual with MLW a really nice clash of styles throughout. This is the kind of show that young wrestling fans should watch to get an idea of the range of moves and attacks possible in a ring. Stand out from this week, was Lawlor's very convincing submission attacks on Kross, they were worked cleverly in both attack and defence. I wasn't too impressed with Kross, having really enjoyed his Impact run. He shows he must be booked as a monster. Will he get such a billing when WWE restarts? I doubt it very much and as a result this great talent may well be wasted."
[6.0] "Reed vs. Laredo Kid was a solid match with a ton of good spots, despite lacking heat. It had good in-ring storytelling and the two worked well together, until the finish which was botched as Laredo Kid was getting up after being thrown into the ring but Reed was ready to deliver his finish off the top turnbuckle, causing Laredo Kid to inexplicably have to lie down to take the bump after getting to his knees. wouldve been 3. 5 but gets knocked down to ***. Mance vs. Gino was a solidly worked match between two guys whose style doesn't really mesh. Had good heat and Holliday did a good job selling the angle. Solid finish that gives us a finish yet keeps the story going ***. Killer Kross match was pretty good. I generally don't like Tom Lawlor matches as I think his style is boring but this was solid as Kross sold the submission offense well and powered out of it enough to prevent boredom. The DQ Cluster finish knocks a half point off though ***."
