1 | 14.12.2019 | Paul Allain | 1.0 | Axel/Flash was a forgettable opener, with the local talent being booked to look quite weak. Sonjay/B-Boy started with an awful lot of stalling and silly dancing, and the core of the match also had a lot of fluff and felt bloated, going much too long and never feeling truly interesting. Ruckus/Acid started with even more stalling, which has become symptomatic of Trent? s awful tendencies, featured a lot of uninspired brawling around and concluding their uninspired match with a cliché interference that always hurts the match and deflates the crowd. Hatred/Gage had their usual brawl that has become horribly stale in 2003, feeling a smidge fresher on the European continent, and their spots looked decent even if they took an awful time to setup. Messiah/Zandig was a standard insipid main event, but to see Zandig takes the belt was an act of incredible selfishness, even more since the postmatch attack and heel turn of Adam Flash completely overshadowed the title change that should have been a big deal instead of being an afterthought. The main event followed the tag formula to the point of boredom and never truly clicked into higher gear. This was truly an awful show, as the whole atmosphere was off, the arena was woefully unprepared for this style of event and not receptive to CZW's wrestling brand, and the wrestlers themselves phoned in their performances and every match felt incomplete and mediocre, making this an all-around disaster and if CZW want to repeat their European experience, they will need to operate major changes. |
