SHO & YOH (c) -vs- El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru - (IWGP Junior Tag Title) [** 3/4] A little rocky, but had its fun and crazy moments to make it a cool experience, even if the challengers were hardly exciting. Roppongi 3K came off as stars. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi & Juice Robinson & David Finlay -vs- Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa & Yujiro Takahashi & Chase Owens [**], Kazuchika Okada & Will Ospreay -vs- Zack Sabre Jr. & Taichi [**], Jay White -vs- SANADA [** 1/2], Hiromu Takahashi (c) -vs- Ryu Lee - (IWGP Junior Title) [*** 3/4] Screw the flow. They went for crazy! Jon Moxley (c) -vs- Minoru Suzuki - (IWGP United States Title) [*** 1/4] Badass match! As a brutal fight it didn't get the heated it should have had, but it's two real characters going at it and sometimes that's enough to make a fight fun. Tetsuya Naito (c) -vs- KENTA - (IWGP Title & IWGP Intercontinental Title) [***] Wish they'd had enough confidence in KENTA to not do all that shenanigans here. A lot going on, so in its own way it was entertaining. It just wasn't the best scenario we could have hoped for."

[3.0] "Jeez, this was weak. Aside from the amazing Junior Heavyweight title match, this show had nothing above a 6 for me, with the final two matches both being underwhelming as hell to me."

[7.0] "Quite a good show overall with many good matches. The opening 8-man tag had the veterans working hard, and that was about it. **1/2. Sho & Yoh vs Despy & Kanemaru was pretty good, and I'm glad it was slotted early to give the show some spice. Both teams showed really good teamwork, with the champs coming off as great babyfaces (especially Yoh). ***1/4 - ***1/2. The 2nd 8-man tag was only interesting when the babyfaces were in control. Chase worked hard too. **1/2. Okada & Ospreay vs Sabre & Taichi was a good little tag match. Sabre and Taichi were very good heels, while Okada and Ospreay were great babyfaces with their flashy signature offence. Okada and Taichi once again had really good interactions. ***1/4. Sanada vs Jay was indeed slow and lifeless to start, since both are wrestlers who require an energetic opponent in order to produce good matches, yet they eventually improved as Jay brought out his intelligent, split-second counters and impactful attacks while Sanada elevated his athleticism and acrobatics. A few down periods, but some good exchanges in the second half as well. ***1/4 Hiromu vs Lee was easily MOTN. Just great physicality and acrobatics on display, plus a bunch of great big-bomb counters all match long. One of the best matches of the year so far. ****1/4. Moxley vs Suzuki was a strikefest that lost me at moments but eventually won me over. It was the crowd brawling and weapon usage I wasn't super keen on, but I always enjoyed whenever both guys would just throw fists, resulting in this being really good. ***1/2. Naito vs Kenta was a polarising match, but I really enjoyed it. Yes, it was slow, massively bloated in length, and focussed heavily on story and character work at the expense of the in-ring action, but I thought the story and character work was engaging enough for me to still be interesting in the match even without seeing both guys kill each other with big moves in the traditional NJPW main-event style. ***1/2"

[8.0] "Great show! The matches were all well-placed and did not bored the crowd and myself at all. The post-match of the Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match was funny as fuck and made me lose my shit. ZSJ challenging Jon Moxley and Naito challenging Hiromu got me really hyped, those two matches are going to be incredible. Like I said, the show was great and it couldn't be any better."

[10.0] "Opener: Fun match here, crowd was incredibly hot for Nakanishi since it was his final appearance in Osaka - (**); Junior tag: Every time NJPW books this match I feel like it's just more of the same and then they go and top all their previous bouts, this was great tag wrestling here, enjoyed it a lot, also the next challengers looks fun too - (****); Bullet Club 8 man tag: Weakest match on the show, the babyface team was trying hard but the Bullet Club guys all suck - (**), Suzuki-gun vs. CHAOS: a little disappointing given the talent, this was okay - (**1/2); White vs. SANADA: First time these two faced off one on one and I was a tad disapointed, still good though - (***); Juinor title: I love this feud! And Hiromu and Lee just went ahead and had their best match yet, this was an epic and will be on quite a few MOTY lists - (*****); US title: This was a very American style brawl, Moxley is a good fit for New Japan becuase he adds another flavor, great stuff, - (****1/4). IWGP & IC titles: Great heat, good heel vs. babyface dynamic and the blood added to the drama but man did this match drag at certain points, not every champion has to be the 30 min plus classic champion - (***1/4). Overall this was a fantastic Osaka Jo-Hall show that was much better than Dominion last year. Naito vs. Hiromu? Yes please."

[7.0] "A solid fun show. Hiromu Takahashi vs Ryu Lee and Jon Moxley vs Minoru Suzuki are must watches. The main event was fun, and I loved the nods to what's coming next for the Jr tag belts, the US championship, and the double gold. The only matches that didn't do anything for me were the opener with all the New Japan Dads, and Jay White vs Sanada."

[10.0] "Really good event, especially due to the very diverse nature of the matches. Loved the cleaner than usual White match, the brawl that was Moxley and Suzuki and of course, another chapter of the bitter rivalry between Lee and Hiromu. Maine event was also good, yet while Kenta's character is amazing and heated, I do not get Naito other than being where he believes it is his destiny."
