[7.0] "This was a good show not great but pretty good what brings it down for me is eddie v jericho and rosa v baker, other then that everything was great with Allin, Sting and Sammy v Hardy, Andrade and Kassidy. Punk v MJF etc really fun show that i prob would rewatch again"
[10.0] "Both Cargill Vs Conti and Baker Vs Rosa were both bad, but the Face Of The Revolution ladder match and the tornado six man tag match were both really great, Kingston Vs Jericho and Hangman Vs Cole were both really fantastic, the AEW World Tag Title three way and Moxley Vs Danielson were both really incredible and Punk Vs MJF dog collar was really phenomenal. Overall AEW Revolution (2022) is a phenomenal show."
[7.0] "Mostly great, found the main event and the womens title match disappointing but enjoyed most everything else. Punk/MJF is one of my favourite matches ever, Kingston/Jericho is up there too, and I really enjoyed Danielson/Moxley."
[7.0] "The show is pretty long, you have to admit that. Of course, it's difficult when you only have a little time to let the live crowd catch their breath between the cracker matches like the dog collar match and the encpounter between Moxley and Danielson. Add in the main event match and you have three veritable cornerstones to a presentable show. However, I also take a more critical view of the rest of the event, not everything makes sense, much of it is of manageable quality or is clearly over-celebrated by one or the other AEW-mark. Nevertheless, this show is an absolutely presentable event with some show values and an appealing entertainment factor in the right places."
[9.0] "The first part of the show was great with three great matches: Kingston vs. Jericho, Tag Team Triple Threat and the Ladder match are all very enjoyable and fun. The middle part of the show wasn't very good: the two women's matches were pretty bad and Moxley vs. Danielson was a huge dissapointment as I think that the match was pretty boring but MJF vs. Punk was amazing and it was the perfect ending to their story. The tornado tag was very fun and had some very cool moments. The main event was great and it was the best match of the night. Crowd was hot throughout the entire night and we also saw two major debuts: Sw3rve Strickland and William Regal, great show."
[9.0] "An excellent show with consitently great action top to bottom. The only bad match here was the AEW Women's Championship match; other than that, most of the card was good to amazing. Two huge debut: Shane Strickland and William Regal ( Thunderous roar for Regal and hot reception for Strickland). This was an amazing show, a bit long but consistently great action. MOTN : Triple Threat Tag Match (****1/2)."
[7.0] "This wound up being my favourite PPV of 2022. [Jericho vs Kingston] - 4.5 stars. [Tag title match] - 5 stars (Match of the Night, MOTYC). [Hobbs vs Keith vs Starks vs Wardlow] - 3.25 stars. [Jade vs Tay] - 2 stars (Worst of the Night). [CM Punk vs MJF] - 4 stars. [Baker vs Rosa] - 2.5 stars. [Bryan vs Moxley] - 4 stars. [Trios match] - 3.5 stars. [Page vs Cole] - 4 stars. Average match rating: 3.64 of 5 stars (or 7.28 of 10). Rounded to 7 for Cagematch."
[9.0] "Best AEW PPV of 2022 for me. Almost every match on the show was good, including the trios match on the pre-show. I thought the biggest blemish on the show was Rosa/Britt which ended up being my least favorite match of the night. A great opener, a very good triple threat tag as well as ladder match, the dog collar match, Bryan/Moxley, the sting tag, and Cole/Page were all good in their own ways. Despite being a long show, this was the most I had enjoyed an AEW PPV overall since Full Gear 2020. Had the women? s matches delivered more, I could have seen this being a possible 10."
[10.0] "For me this is a awesome ppv best matches are kingston vs jericho, punk vs mjf, moxley vs danielson and page vs cole they are were amazing matches."
[9.0] "So so so so SO close to a 10, but the women's matches were unfortunately kinda bummers and Baker vs. Rosa was especially rough considering the length and decision. Maybe a bit long in general, this show? This KICKED ASS though. Everything else killed and this is probably the 2nd best PPV AEW has done. For matches I've got a 10 and four 9s, which I'm pretty sure I've not given another show. All Out 2021 just had bigger moments and lacked the lows of this show, but for sheer quantity of badass wrestling matches, nothing really tops this in recent memory."
Swerve Strickland ist All Elite?
[8.0] "This show only had two things going against it: the length and the structure. Going 4 hrs for any show will automatically mean the pacing must be incredibly consistent. And although we have seen AEW do that in the past with their previous PPVs, they just didn't land it here. As impressive as the match quality was, sitting through the whole show can be a bit of a drag. Still, an easily recommendable event featuring three **** matches, a couple of fun ***+ ones, and two strong debuts."
[6.0] "Positives in descending order: 1) CM Punk vs MJF (Match of the Night) 2) William Regal Debuts 3) Jericho vs Kingston (Surprisingly Great) 4) Moxley vs Danielson 5) Sting is one crazy old man. 6) Wardlow turns babyface. The things that happened that I don't really feel strongly about in anyway was Swerve's debut and the commentary. Negatives in ascending order: 1) Underwhelming ME 2) Bucks stupid match 3) TBS match 4) Goofy ladder match 5) Women's world championship match"
[9.0] "In terms of wrestling, the best event of AEW. This event has 4 matches in my 'Best Matches of The Year' list. Must-see matches: Eddie vs. Jericho / Tag Team Three Way / Punk vs. MJF / Mox vs. Danielson / Page vs. Cole"
[8.0] "Great show all throughout. The opener with Kingston and Jericho was a great hard-hitting affair, and I was super happy to see Kingston finally win one. The triple threat tag just kept on topping itself with incredible moments, and the ladder match was a fun, chaotic brawl. Both women's matches weren't anything special but weren't bad by any means. The dog collar match was brilliant and bloody, and the storytelling was top-notch. The Wardlow face turn was a great addition as well. Moxley and Danielson put on a clinic, and the regal debut was a nice cherry on top. The six-man tag was a nice surprise, although I'll admit I was a bit burnt out at this point. This also affected my enjoyment of the main event, although I thought it was good overall. In all, I really enjoyed Revolution, and I think it may be AEW's second-best show so far, just behind Full Gear. 8/10"
[8.0] "Hot opener, great tag title match, great ladder match, great blood feud match, great Danielson/Mox match, surprisingly good torando six man, and a surprisingly hot main event too. Very good wrestling show."
"Another great show from AEW. Only two matches I wasn't big on, the rest were all great. Only real complaint is that by the end I was quite tired and not able to get as invested in the last few matches as I wanted to be, but can't really complain about having too much great wrestling."
[6.0] "It's a show that I found okay. There's nothing really bad, but there are so many disappointments and "good, but..." matches that I come out of every match frustrated, except Cargill vs Conti and the main event."
[9.0] "That was something. Except the crap done by Rosa and Baker, the PPV was beyond great. Just the three first matches were completly insane. Cargill vs. Conti was quite fun and right after you got that Dog Collar, surely an all-time classic. Mox vs. Danielson was a masterpiece, Sting doing silly things at 63 as Page vs. Cole was a superb story. Revolution 2022 was also a cornerstone in AEW history."
"Great show for the most, women's matches were letdowns (especially the Baker vs Rosa). Eddie and Jericho put on a hard hitting affair and the triple threat tag is potentially a top 10 all time for me(tag matches) Punk and MJF got match of the night for me but that was no easy feat and sting is still an absolute mad man for his age."
High Impact Offense, sodass man kaum blinzeln durfte.
[10.0] "This was an exceptional show as AEW continues with their PPV hot streak as theres so many outstanding matches in this as well as a surprisingly stacked 'Buy In' show it is pretty exhausting to watch by the time it got to it's last match. CM Punk vs MJF will likely be a match of the year candidate by the end of the year. A fittingly brutal and an exceptionally bloody match adding to one of the best feuds in wrestling right now. Eddie Kingston vs Chris Jericho was a fun intense brawl to start the night and Kingston has become one of my favourites in that category. Jurassic Express vs Young Bucks vs reDRagon was a fantastic flying fast paced match that shows off just how much depth the tag team division has at the moment. Moxley vs Danielson is another great match which promised to be violent and bloody and it was, but was also a great technical wrestling match. Cole vs Page was an excellent main event that probably wasn't likely to top everything else that came before it that night, but was still a satisfying conclusion to the show. Only flaws with the show for me was the disappointing Women's Title match, which only served for a set up to a rematch and also while the multi-man matches (the ladder match and the tornado tag match) was both a lot of fun to watch, they still have problems focusing the match on everyone as you'll see a brawl at one side of the arena and not have a clue what's going on elsewhere. Also the Sammy Guevara table spot on the plexiglass ramp was poorly thought out and could have easily lead to a serious injury, assuming of course it didn't. Overall another 10/10 PPV and my third one in a row. AEW knows how to make these events feel special and I'm already looking forward to Double or Nothing."
[7.0] "Guter PPV!
[10.0] "The long-awaited wrestling holiday from AEW! From the first to the last minute, the spirit of wrestling was felt. Everything was shown to us, from historical events from Punk and MJF, to quick and easy spotfests. Stairs, tables, backs and hopes of many fighters to become champions were broken at the show. Jade Cargill and Tay Conti are the main beauty of the show, walking sex appeal. Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson must unite, they can destroy the entire roster. Sting is getting cooler and cooler with every match, a living wrestling icon. CM Punk has already 100% regained its decent form in 2014 and again looks great in any fight. Wardlow managed to conquer the fans twice during the show, now the main thing is to finish off Maxwell. Jurassic Express have consolidated their status as champions - it's nice. The new signing is really hot, I hope Swerve Strickland finds himself in the company. Eddie Kingston - it's time to go for the title! Adam Page works out his every fight with all his might. He needs to be careful, with this pace you can lose the title. Fortunately, he is young and can work in such a rhythm. I don't even know what else to write - this is the perfect show. The fans were energized, the fights were first-class and even the weakest matches looked decent, just their competitors were super cool. Maybe there just wasn't enough of a twist that would make the viewer wait for the next episode. But I think it's still worth turning on the TV on the day of the release of a new episode."
[5.0] "The event is difficult in terms of evaluation. On the one hand, the average rating of matches from me is at an acceptable level (most matches are not bad, a few good, one excellent, and two complete failures), but, damn it, I think that the order of matches is very wrong, and it was the reason that I watched this show for 4 days, and only finished an hour ago. There are many good stories, but just as many unconvincing ones. A lot of pleasant matches, but ALL the championship matches left me disappointed. Again, there is not such a strong emphasis in terms of selling, wrestlers overdo it and the legitimacy of the same belt strike has suffered greatly. Many performers don't feel the moment and simply don't know how to sell the spectacle to the audience with emotions, continuing to focus on chaotic actions. I liked Buy In more in this regard, at least because of the match between Hirsch and Statlander (the best match of the night, with the exception of the battle of Danielson and Moxley), and the positioning of Hook. Right here... An unconvincing main event forces me to downgrade."
[8.0] "Best event for AEW of the year so far. The dog collar match between Punk and MJF may be the best match of all time in AEW. Jericho and Kingston had a killer match, Mox and Danielson becoming a stable with Regal as their manager was great. The only problems so far is that AEW has so much talent on their roster but want to attempt to give every one of their champions a long reign, not every reign has to be a long reign. While Cole and Page had a great match, it would? ve been wise to make Cole champion and allow multiple people to get their time with the championship rather than making your new signings look weak. Thunder Rosa should? ve won that championship match, Baker has become stale and has become the Charlotte Flair of AEW. Any other time, a referee kicks out a distracting ringside manager after 1-2 distractions but to allow 6-7 distractions and no boot? How is Rosa going to kick out of a curb stomp on a title, but then lose later to a normal curb stomp. Aside from that match and the result of two matches, nearly perfect PPV."
[9.0] "This was REALLY good. From top to bottom, I can thoroughly recommend this PPV to anyone who likes wrestling. I like how AEW is giving the women more matches and screentime per event, since that was one of my biggest complains about the company. The only thing that drags this rating to a 9 was the Britt VS Rosa match, which I felt could've been executed much better."
[9.0] "Everything on the show was very good in quality except the women's matches which were still perfectible acceptable. Matches ranked from best to worst: Cm Punk vs MJF ****1/2, Bryan Danielson vs Jon Moxley ****1/2, Chris Jericho vs Eddie Kingston ****1/4, Adam Page vs Cole ****, Tornado Tag ****, Trios Tag ***3/4, Ladder match ***1/4, Jade Cargill vs Tay Conti **3/4, Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa **3/4"
"[9.0] Another excellent pay-per-view from AEW. Eddie Kingston getting his first win on an AEW PPV against Chris Jericho was an excellent opener. The AEW World Tag Title 3-Way and the Face of the Revolution Ladder matches were a lot of fun with the right people winning. The TBS Championship match was fine, but was probably better suited for either Dynamite or Rampage. The Dog Collar match was an old school bloodbath, and in the best way possible. Plus Wardlow finally turning on MJF was brilliant. The AEW Women's World Championship match was the only real disappointment on the card, especially considering the wrestlers involvement. Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson was great and William Regal making his debut after the match was a real treat. I think William Regal is a great addition to AEW both on and off camera thanks to his history with Mox and Danielson and his work in NXT. 62-year old Sting diving on the balcony through the tables was the highlight of a fun 6-Man Tornado Tag Match. The battle of the Adams for the AEW World Championship was an great way to close the show. Also, kudos for AEW signing Shane "Swerve" Strickland as I think he will be a great addition to the AEW roster thanks to his incredible charisma and wrestling skills. Overall, an excellent four hours of wrestling reminding me why AEW is the best wrestling promotion in the world."
[9.0] "Jericho VS Kingston: Two brutal guys hitting each other bodies very very heart and showing us how much they have a mutual hate. Jericho showed us why he can continue to be a top player in proffesional wrestling. Very solid match. [****1/2]; AEW World Tag Team Title Three Way Match: This was the match that I was more excited to watch. Not was as I expected at the beggining, but the story they tried to tell was the main focus of this, and obviously, the spots too. It's great to see how this team has evolved trough all their time in AEW. My favorite match of the year. [*****]; Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match: This PPV organized this match week by week adding interesting wrestlers to the mix, and what they got was three powerhouses that smashed everything and everyone in his path, and three technical wrestlers that put all their effort to give dinamism and speed to the match. [****1/4]; Cargill VS Conti: at the moment, the lowest rated match of the evening. Mostly because they started with a Botchamania, I suppose this was due to the intensity they wanted to start. But after some minutes they began to work well together and gave us a decent match. Solid match. [***1/4]; CM Punk VS MJF: Perfection, it's the way you define this match. The storytelling this two had previous to the match, and now in the ring was absolutely fantastic. The right way to end this was giving Punk the victory, so good choice there. And also ending with Face turn of Wardlow was brilliant. Very good match. [*****]; AEW Women's World Title Match: I don't know why here the people are low grading this match, it was solid if you compare it to previous women's matches. Thunder Rosa was pretty solid, Baker also did her part, and together put a decent match. It was awful to see the interferences in the ring, but anyway the match was solid. [***1/2]; Danielson VS Moxley: I felt it a bit shorter, and in my opinion I was expecting more of them, but still very thrilling bout. I hope this ends as a new tag team for AEW. [****1/4]; Tornado Six Man Tag Team Match: This felt like the filler match before the main event, but we have to say they tried to give us a very good show here, and they surely did. Good match. [****]; Hangman Page VS A. Cole: Well, what else can you expect from these wuality of wrestlers? absotulety terrific match, it was a very good way to end the show. Hangman showed that he deserved to have the world title, and even if I not agreed with having Cole as #1 contender he did a good job. Superkick party and WWE formula helped to build the end of the match, interesting how AEW begans to creat his own storytelling taking ideas from another promotions. Pretty solid bout. [****1/2] I absolutely loved this event from start to end, the women's matches weren't as good as men's, but still they put great fights and made a great show. AEW The best wrestling promotion in the hole planet. [****1/2]"
[10.0] "The opener was a hectic fist fight that had a great intensifying story end in a surprising finish. The three way tag was a fun spot rally that was smoothly done but the rule constraints and the refereeing held it back. The ladder match was another fun spot fest where all six men had time to shine with the powerhouses stealing the show. Jade vs. Tay was fine for the time given with a weird angle while Punk vs. MJF was a masterstroke in the history of story driven matches. Britt vs. Rosa had lofty expectations but went down as an underwhelming match with less to nil heat even though the attempt was fine. Got to say about Moxley vs. Danielson fully. It was an elaborate image of Punk vs. Kingston back at Full Gear with more intensity and a genius work in all areas. Tornado trios was crazy and the main event was super solid even though the crowd was a bit off. Add in the debuts of Shane Strickland & William Regal and you have an astonishing Pay-Per-View, top to bottom. 9.5 out of 10 points!"
[8.0] "There were 5 great matches on this show, but unfortunately there were 3 underwhelming matches in a row (matches 2-4) and the Britt Baker match was abysmal. I was very happy to see Shane Strickland in AEW and Regal's appearance was fantastic. A 4 hour run-time is absolutely fine by me, especially when they only do 4 PPV's a year. I love a good video package for big matches and that is something AEW lacks. Overall I'd consider this an enjoyable show."
[10.0] "Perhaps my rating is skewed from skipping Baker vs Thunder Rosa, but this was a home run for AEW. Untouchable opener followed by a constant stream of exciting matches. This was the most I've enjoyed a wrestling show in a while because it cut such a relentlessly fun energy. Just personally, there are five or six matches on the card that I could believably pick as my MOTN. Nice surprises sprinkled in between the action, like the less surprising signing of Swerve Strickland (thank god he's going by his original name rather than "SW3RV3 The Realest", like he has been so far post-WWE) and the total shock debut of William Regal. On top of that, a star was made in Wardlow, Sting almost died, and Kingston beat Jericho. Only downsides would be Hangman vs Cole felt a little flat, at least given it was the climactic world title match, and Jim Ross' painfully dull and grumpy commentary."
[8.0] "Great show but not really legendary to me. I don't think it had any blow away amazing matches, but had 3-4 really good ones that you could argue as MOTN, and it was a varied card."
[10.0] "AEW's PPVs are on god level right now, incredible in ring quality! the only thing that i didn't like was Britt Baker vs Rosa, this was just bad! like really bad, there was not a single move in that match that looked anything close to be called "smooth"! even the pins looked bad! but the show had way too many good matches to wash off the bad taste. Punk vs MJF, Mox vs Danielson and Hangman vs Cole were all close to 5 stars for me."
[6.0] "A mostly good show with a few shortcomings holding it back. Jericho vs Kingston was really good. Kingston's usual 90s AJPW spots were fun. Jericho was more vicious, heelish, and smooth than usual, surprisingly matching Kingston's intensity and impact. ***1/2. The Tag Titles match was a pretty standard spotfest. ReDragon were the best team due to their nice striking and grappling, which wasn't as overexposed as the other teams' offence. Luchasaurus was his usual artificial and overkill self. Run-on spots were still fun despite the flippy stuff being done-to-death. Awful decision to keep the dull Jurassic Express as champs. ***1/4. The Face of the Revolution ladder match was pretty generic. A few genuinely creative prop-grab attempts, but every other ladder spot was pretty derivative or obviously contrived. I also didn't like the painfully overrated Wardlow getting the win at the direct expense of cutting off mega hot Keith Lee's momentum. Majority of the work here was still at least decent. ***. Jade vs Conti was fine, and probably Jade's best match thus far. Jade was an absolute star in appearance and aura, but a first-month amateur in offence. She admittedly hit some cool individual spots, but they weren't very physically/athletically demanding. Conti was mostly quite smooth with good babyface fire, aided by some surprisingly convincing near falls. Right choice to keep Jade as champ. **3/4. Punk vs MJF was MOTN. Just a full-on, hard-fought battle that perfectly encapsulated the hatred of their feud. The chain spots were all very convincing and nicely varied, with both guys selling extremely well. Finish was sadly totally predictable, thus rather flat. Prior to that, this was a very engaging match with a classic pro-wrestling story. ***3/4. Britt vs Rosa was bad. No heat, no chemistry, and nothing remotely professional-looking. Britt's plot armour is beyond boring at this point. **. Danielson vs Moxley was a good match that should have been better. Moxley's aggressive brawling meshed very well with Danielson's stiff striking and dominant grappling displays, but they never did anything especially impressive, even ignoring the dead crowd that already hindered them. I expected far more. Smart finish with Moxley's lucky win to keep Danielson strong, plus Regal's debut was great. Hopefully these two team together now and save the tag division. ***1/4 - ***1/2. The 6-Man Tag match was a good spotfest. The brawling was pretty bland, but the big spots from were mostly good (excluding a few laughably contrived ones). ***1/4. Page vs Cole was actually pretty good, but of course it eventually became overkill because of Cole's move spam. Both guys had strong timing and smooth chemistry. Page was nicely aggressive, while Cole's offence was too speedy and weak at times but ultimately still alright. It didn't need as many underwhelming bombs and "epic" near falls, but at least they both worked hard and showed good athleticism. ***1/4."
[7.0] "Two women's matches ruined the show for me. I know Jade is a terrible wrestler and match was not too long but how can you give Britt Baker a 15+ minute match on a ppv? Opening was worth watching and if you like blood watch the rest."
"Excellent PPV - almost non-stop entertaining matches. Main event might have been the perfect American spot-fest style match, with Page and Cole putting on their best performances of the year so far. Storyline moments kept it feeling exciting and forward moving throughout, with great performances all around to back it up - there was something for all types of wrestling fans."
[9.0] "I didn't like all of it but I liked the changes in styles and this to me didn't feel as long as past AEW PPVs sometimes have. I think AEW's TV shows have been a bit bland recently but this did deliver for the most part. However, when you see the average rating for this at 8.97 and the bland Dynamite #126 just below at 8.28, it really drives home how important the more cynical reviewers are. Without them, everything is 10/10 and it would be impossible to compile a list of AEW's best shows. We only have 10 point to give and I thought this was much better than Dynamite #126. If #126 was 10/10, where is the distinction when a show like this comes along? Rant aside, there was room for improvement on this show in some of the matches but I try to save '9' ratings for things I think could be held up as best-of contenders at the end of the year, and I think right now that this show could. My average match rating would be a bit lower but a show like this is the sum of its parts. I think it bumped Hard To Kill off of the top of the list of my personal favourite events so far this year which means Sacrifice was in my top 3 for about 24 hours. A good weekend for wrestling all the same."
[10.0] "I didn't love every match on the card, but I truly loved many of them, multiple top 10 of the year so far candidates for me. Kingston and Jericho had my new favorite match of the year to open the show, amazing stuff. Ladder match ruled, dog collar match ruled, Danielson/Moxley ruled, six man tag was crazy, all incredibly good matches in my opinion that pushed this to the full 10."
[10.0] "Shows like this one are why I love wrestling. I don't care what kind of wrestling you like, there's at least one match on this show you'd love."
[10.0] "There may have been seven matches on this show that were at least 4 stars, and four that were at least 4.5. I don't care how flat the Britt Baker match was: any show with that sheer quantity of awesome matches has to be a very strong show of the year candidate."
"This show was fantastic in like 5 different ways. Moxley and Danielson had my favorite match of the year. Just the way Danielson was kicking Moxley in the side over and over from every angle and direction, the way he cranked on submission holds like cranking on Moxleys arm before applying the Labelle lock near the end. Moxley is a perfect, grimy babyface that I wanna see absorb pain and club Danielsons head off. The finish was brilliant and the aftermath with Regal was even better. Regal going nose to nose with Moxley, rubbing Mox's blood on his face, slapping the absolute piss out of Danielson. God I hope they all take one or two of the young wrestlers mentioned by Danielson and make a shooter faction. I'd give this match a 10/10 and this show 9/10 if I wasn't a scrub and could vote."
[10.0] "--- A near flawless PPV once again from AEW. They have been on an absolute tear. --- Fantastic card top to bottom, with a combination of matchup variety, great wrestling, star-making moments and some big surprises. --- It also says something about the star power and quality of the booking that not only were the crowd still loud in the 5th hour of the show but their were dueling chants in multiple matches throughout the night. So many wrestlers in the company are over which is great to see. --- Wardlow (Mr. Mayhem) is in the middle of a massive push and the crowd is responding in kind. His angle with MJF has been great and he has two moments in separate parts of the show that made him look like a star. --- Eddie Kingston finally got his big PPV win to the delight of the crowd after falling short for almost 2 years. --- Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus once again cemented themselves as one of the top tag teams in a stacked division with a potential 'Match of the Night' performance. --- Finally Hangman Page continues to prove he is slowly becoming the 'Ace' of AEW with another incredible main event performance in the World Title Match. --- The only downside was the disappointing Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa title match which will likely be resolved in a few weeks. --- Also I would highly recommend the 'Buy-in' probably one of their best ever, Statlander, HOOK, House of Black and Death Triangle among the performers that could easily be slotted on the main show. --- Personally I would have this PPV as one of their best ever alongside All Out 2021 and Full Gear 2021."
[8.0] "A very good show. It's not flawless, I still think front-loaded cards are a bad choice, I still think AEW overuses blading and AEW women's division is awfully bad. But it had 5 great matches, way better pacing than Full Gear and was less dependant to fake surprises than All Out."
"Normally I skip Pre-Shows / Buy-Ins but this PPV I really liked the matches. The whole PPV felt well rounded and was booked to my liking. Highlights for me where the Ladder Match in which no participant looked weak or felt sqashed and the Punk/MJF bout. Best PPV to this date, and possibly for quite another time this year!"
[8.0] "Tag Title Three Way, Punk vs. MJF, Mox vs. Dragon and Hangman vs. Cole were all excellent, rest of the men's matches were solid, the women's matches were pretty poor in comparison, but the rest of the show was so good it made up for it."
[8.0] "The excitement was harnassed from the get-go, with two incredible matches. Then we got some good theatre in Punk/MJF, and a great closer to continue Page's reign. Britt was a lowlight, and Mox/Danielson was a weird one. Kingston, Luchasaurus, Hobbs and Sting all had brilliant turn-ins."
[10.0] "Also was soll man dazu, wirklich bitte noch sagen? Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match war Gut. Wardlow ist nicht nur "The Face Of The Revolution" sondern für mich auch definitiv ein Future World Champion Bei All Elite Wrestling und "The Face Of The Future" (****). Der "Second City Saint" is Back! (******). Zeichen" An"
[10.0] "Fantastic show overall, the wardlow turn and regal segment were all time great AEW moments. Fantastic matches overall, only major dissapointment is Britt retaining with constant interfernce yet again"
[10.0] "It's hard to find any fault with a top-to-bottom great show like that. The show had three 10-point matches for me, which were great in completely different ways: the tag team titles match was nonstop heartstopping action, the dog collar match was story and match build perfection (as Punk's matches these days tend to be) and the battle of violence between Mox and Danielson was just a brutal slobberknocker with an incredible post- match surprise debut. The main event was great as well, just maybe a notch below because the crowd -- which was hot almost all night -- was getting a bit tired and the hours of commentary was catching up with Jim Ross. In addition to these four great matches I saw really good ones as well. Kingston and Jericho tore the house down in the opener, the ladder match was super exciting and featured a couple of innovate (and dangerous) spots and the trios match was like Ahmed Johnson & LOD vs. The Nation at WrestleMania 13 -- a brutal, awesome clusterfuck of destruction. The women's matches, while being perfectly fine, were lacking in comparison, both due to the lack of surprises and being sandwiched between great, brutal matches. The debut of Swerve was interesting (I had never seen him before) and Regal forming an alliance between and possibly with Mox and Danielson was awesome. The crowd was really great. I would also like to mention how enormously over the AEW wrestlers are, it is really beautiful to see and increases my personal enjoyment in a show."
[8.0] "This was good. PPV of the year so far, almost by default. with WK and WWE PPVs disappointing. The only PPV that was was Impact's Hard to Kill. AEW still has a pacing problem: not every match needs to go 20+ mins. Didn't help the second half of the show was significantly weaker then the first, even with Moxley/Danielson."
[9.0] "Great PPV. Not a bad match on the card, nothing really draged the show down. Main matches delivered and the dog collar match is a candidate for match of the year. The only negative may be the card booking. It's weird to put a match with the best build up in the middle of the show and put women's title match right after it. Also the main event shouldn't be a main event. Aside from that, very good show."
[9.0] "Another great PPV. AEW really delivers on their big shows, the show was a little long, but I didn? t mind it so much. Only downside was the womens title match. Great show."
[9.0] "Loved the show. Even with the botches, weird bookings, and lack of psychology in some matches I loved the show. Jericho/Eddie was great, Tag team 3-way was fun, Wardlow winning the ladder match was the right call, both women's matches were ok but not great, MJF/Punk and Bryan/Mox were fantastic, and Hangman/Cole was exactly what I expected, only complaint is that it felt flat at times."
[6.0] "Definitely not the best AEW has to offer. Eddie/Jericho was a great opener, followed by an excellent Tag Title three-way match, the ladder match was just kinda there, Jade/Conti wasn't good but it was still miles better than the womens world championship match, a fantastic dog collar match between Punk and MJF, followed by an fucking abysmall dogshite Britt Baker match... she is not a good wrestler, they always try too much with their womens matches with non-athletic workers and because Britt is a bad wrestler, they have to cram he matches full of interference and other shit - go-away heat, I'm not going to watch another Britt match ever. Moxley/Danielson was a match that tried to do what Omega/Danielson&Suzuki/Danielson (or even Jericho/Kingston from earlier in the same ppv) did but failed , boring as hell. Six man tornado did pick up the crowd from the hole where Britt Baker drove them and Adam/Adam for the AEW World Title was a good match. Still, this was 4 hour show (or 5 if you did watch the buy-in like I did). You should've cut both womens matches, 5 minutes from Danielson/Mox and the ladder match and some video packages and you are closer to much more managable 3 hour ppv."
[7.0] "Both women matches were really bad, the worst of them being Baker vs. Rosa. Jericho match was OK, 3-man tag team for me was MOTN, was great and had near falls, and good spots. Face of the revolution had a good idea but failed in the planning, some spots were sloppy or poorly done, it couldve been greater. MJF vs. Punk was decent for me, Mox vs Bryan was good, tornado six man had awesome spots, specially the one with sting and it was great, ME was good but so much "iron man" for Cole and Page. Great to see Regal in another company."
[9.0] "Another very good PPV from AEW, it was perhaps a notch below their best, but as their best is some of the greatest shows in wrestling history that's not a major problem. What was a problem was how poor the two women's matches on the main show were, and that's something AEW needs to address pretty quickly. The only other issue was no title changes, which was especially disappointing as none of Jade, Britt or Jungle Express are the best in their division. Overall those are fairly minor issues for the show, which was great."
[7.0] "A good ppv. Just it, probably the worst ppv in AEE history, they intercalte with good and bad machtes, Britt Baker IS SO BORING and to prove this she killed the crowd, whats the point to have her continuing with the title? Lmao bad macht"
[9.0] "The only thing keeping this from a perfect ten in the two womens matches. Jericho/Kingston 3.75*. Tag Title match was match of the night 4.75*. Ladder match was sold 4*. MJF/Punk solid 4*. Mox/Bryan was only 3*, but Regal coming out was a complete surprise. Trios match was really good 4.25*. And again the main was really good 4*"
[8.0] "This show was good, but it felt so long and exhausting. MJF/Punk not going on last is truly a baffling choice. Highlights of the card are Kingston/Jericho, probably Jericho's best AEW match -- Punk/MJF, a great payoff, and Moxley/Danielson, matching technicality and brutality. The tornado 6 man tag was a really entertaining brawl, much better than the Elite/Jurrassic Express & Christian. Cargill/Conti did it's job, no issues there. The tag title match was not my cup of tea, the ladder match was pretty poorly done, the women's title match had one of the worst booking choices in AEW's history, and Page/Cole was not a main event caliber match, further showing that Page isn't a great top guy."
[8.0] "Overall a very good show, the first hour was incredbile with the amazing Jericho - Kingston match that would have been my MOTN if it wasn't for the AEW tag team championship match. The second part of the show was much slower and everything was dragged too long. The ladder match had its moments with Orange Cassidy taking almost all the good bumps, Wardlow winning was a great call. The TBS championship match was better than expected and maybe it was better than the actual AEW Women's championship match which was a mess, maybe my judgment is biaised because of the crowd investment that was stronger in the beginning of the show. The dog collar match and the Danielson -Moxley match were good but I feel like the stories of the matches were more important and interesting than the wrestling and actually the best moments of these matches were the Wardlow and Regal stuff. The Main event was amazing, I can't believe how good Adam Page has become, he really is the best babyface in the world too. Adam Cole was scary at times, you can see that he's not at his 2019 level yet but everything went perfectly. These guys delivered a classic and gave us the main event we deserve. MOTN : Young Bucks vs ReDragon vs Jurassic Express . MVP of the show : Hangman Adam Page. Best moment : WILLIAM FUCKING REGAL"
[8.0] "Good show! A little long for my liking, and struggled to see the event through, though Tony Khan's an excellent match maker and delivered yet again tonight. Kingston/Jericho was surprisingly good. The Young Bucks' match was underwhelming. Punk/MJF was an instant classic. This event had a variety of different matches and was well worth the admission fee."
"Fantastic show, from the buy-in to the end of the PPV. Happy to see William Regal joining AEW, also happy to see Swerve there. Great things in the horizon."
[9.0] "A very complete PPV, that no doubt will leave AEW even more over the top, what tremendous fights and how well they do the shows, a round of applause for them."
[10.0] "An all-time classic PPV right here. Every match was great. I still feel All Out 2021 was better, but this had so many great matches and awesome debuts. Really great."
[7.0] "Maybe this should be an 8 but my expectations were pretty high for this and I just liked it, instead of loving it so came away marginally disappointed. Negatives out of the way first - 1) Ladder match was super underwhelming. Really expected more but outside of the standard cool spots, it was actively bad. Really slow-moving, clunky and no chemistry/timing between the workers as they tried to get into position. 2) The finish of Rosa vs Baker was whack. I'm way higher on the match itself than most. I thought it was very engrossing and fluid mat wrestling on the whole but the Rebel/Hayter interference got old a while back and Rosa should've won 3) Too long. Didn't need the trios match and just in general, too much stuff on this show + Buy in that made it hard to stay fully invested for it all. Now the good things: 1) Punk vs MJF has been one of the best feuds in recent memory and this match lived up to that. Just phenomenal stuff 2) Kingston vs Jericho blew my expectations out of the water. Incredible stuff and the most I've enjoyed Jericho in ages 3) Mox vs Danielson. Just yeah. Also, Regal being there was awesome 4) The matches that haven't been mentioned as exceptional or awful were all good. Even the tag title match which was of a style that I hate was a fun crowd-pleaser that I let myself get swept away by. So yeah. A very good PPV but slightly underwhelming comapred to the hype/build."
[9.0] "Easily AEW's best PPV to date. There were a few stinkers in there, but more than half the matches were just fantastic, and that really is a rare occurrence for a PPV of this length. If you cant be arsed to watch the whole thing, at least go out of your way for the Tag Title bout, CM Punk vs MJF and the World Title bout."
[9.0] "You know, I considered giving this a 10 but I just can't do it because of that Baker vs Rosa match. That's how much it pissed me off. Rest of the card was great and had several awesome matches."
[6.0] "Definitely one of AEW's weaker PPV events. I enjoyed the opener. Didn't like the tag title match at all. Ladder match was pretty boring and sloppy. Wardlow winning was good though. TBS title match was alright. Dog collar match was decent but a bit slow. Loved how well Wardlow's face turn was handled though. Women's title was mediocre. Moxley and Danielson had an awesome match, and my personal MOTN. Tornado tag was fun filler. Wasn't a fan of the main event. Overall there was more average than good here, and I also didn't like the card structure. The women's and world titles should always be the main and co main events of every card. The 6 man tag should have been in the middle of the card to give the crowd some time to breathe instead of using the women as cool down. It was a fine show but AEW is capable of better."
[10.0] "Potentially one of the best AEW PPV events. The only matches not worth seeing are both of the women's title defences. Jericho vs Eddie brought a 90s puro ethos soaked fight between confident veterans(4.5 stars). The tag match was full of fun counters, complex segments and wild fun(4.5 stars). The face of revolution ladder match was not as good as it could've been, but provided fun spots and cool moments (3.5 stars). Jade and Conti should not be anywhere near big titles, much less against each other, but they did try the hardest they could(2 stars). MJF vs Punk was a blood soaked, emotional finale to one of the best feuds in a long time (5 stars). Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa was a fairly bland affair (2 stars). Danielson vs Moxley made a match that was a perfect union of brutality and technical approach (4.75 stars). The Tornado match was a perfect little fun break carcrash(3.75 stars). Cole vs Page was a perfect way to close out the PPV with just a solid ass singles match, even if it did get a bit too caught up into abusing finisher spam and kickout.(4.25 stars). The PPV that delievered eveywhere it should've and then some."
[5.0] "This card, much like the AEW product itself right now, was a mixed bag. At first, I didn't know about starting the card off with Jericho and Kingston, but it ended up being the best idea and both guys did a really good job. Jericho looks a lot better and he's doing a lot better job in the ring. I'm happy Kingston won and Jericho turning heel after the match was the right thing to do. I didn't like the tag team title match at all. You can only have someone break up a pin attempt so many times before I stop caring, it really just became really annoying by the end of the match, and I just wanted to end. The ladder match sucked and a couple of minutes into the match Orange Cassidy was doing his dumb comedy, so I decided if they don't care neither do I, and I ended up getting chores done until the match finished. The TBS Title match was okay, honestly better than I expected. They didn't put Jade out there for too long. CM Punk vs. MJF was really good although I'm not a fan of thumbtacks or the fact MJF was asking for his ring when he could have hit Punk with the chain. I enjoyed The Woman's Title match and Danielson and Moxley were very good. I didn't like the six-man tag team match at all, and Matt Hardy and his group better be gone after failing to win despite all the interference they got to help them. I wasn't looking forward to the main event, Page and Cole really feel like they're a level below guys like Punk, MJF, Danielson and Moxley. They don't carry themselves as main eventers and they're not booked like it either. Honestly Page's matches with Danielson were pay per view quality while this main event felt like something that should have been on Rampage. And it's really sad despite all the interference Cole was unable to win the match. The dog collar match made this card worth the $50 and I'm just wondering what Punk is going to do for the next pay per view to justify the price."
[6.0] "Pretty fun. MJF/Punk really stole the show. Ladder and Trios both had some memorable moments. Women's matches and Tag championship were duds for me. Regal debut was electric."
"Good show. Every matched served a purpose. Nothing was under three stars. I think the biggest thing I like about AEW is that every match feels different. Even though two matches were very bloody, they didn't feel even remotely similar."
[9.0] "Another amazing PPV from All Elite Wrestling, Jericho/Kingston opens up the show with a really entertaining back and forth fight, The Three Way tag was chaotic as hell an nonstop fun, The Face of the Revolution Ladder match, was another load of fun with inventive spots and the right winner, Swerve debuting and being immediately over was great. Cargill/Conti was pretty good and better than I expected, Punk(MJF was storytelling at its finest and MOTN, Britt/Rosa was underwhelming and the only dissapointing moment for me but the card got right back on track with Danielson/Mox, brutal and the second best of the night closed off by Regal debuting. The Six man tag was much better than it needed to be and Cole/Page delivered a really good match in the Main Event"
[10.0] "I know what that adolescent instinct feels like, that need to be the "low voter". The reflex that tells you to deny your own immediate pleasure. This card, MAN, is not the time to give in to that instinct. Good pro wrestling is good pro wrestling and this card, match for match, is one of the best North American cards I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. This was STACKED OUT THE ASS. Kingston vs. Jericho alone was worth 50 bucks, the triple tag match actually leaned into storytelling instead of Night 2 BOLA Trios Tag Main Event high spots, Jade Cargill looked the best she's ever looked, we got the best multi-man ladder thing AEW's ever put together, Punk vs. MJF was peak hematic melodrama, Moxley vs. Danielson was a festival of violence with one of the most satisfying pops in AEW history, the Sting multiman was slotted as a cool-down match and managed to be the night's best collection of nutty-ass high spots and the Battle of the Adams went above and beyond in holding a crowd that had every right to be burnt out. This was an exceptionally consistent professional wrestling card. We are living in the days of milk and honey. Bathe in it, bro."
[6.0] "It started great with Kingston vs Jericho but the tag title 3 way was far too much for far too long. The ladder match was whatever. Jade vs Tay was mediocre. Punk vs MJF was decent but it should have been absolutely visceral and Punk's bladejob was the only thing that lived up to that. It was also far too long. Really bad usage of interference turned Britt vs Rosa from what would have been a fine match to a mediocre match. Mox vs Danielson absolutely slapped. The tornado tag trios match was fine and the main was pretty good. Revolution was all over the place and overall I think it was an above average show. The issue though is that Revolution failed to live up to the promise of it's card."
[7.0] "A fun show. The three big matches were really good, with Moxley x Danielson being the best of the show in my opinion. Jericho vs. Kingston was good too! The undercard matches not so much."
[9.0] "Fantastic show that I had a lot of fun watching. I feel pretty tired out so my review will not be super long at all. The only real problem I had with the show was Britt not dropping the title to Thunder Rosa. best matches imo were: Punk vs MJF, the Three Way Tag Match, Mox vs Danielson, Kingston vs Jericho (great opener), and Cole vs Page. I thought someone might die during the AHFO vs Darby/Sting/Sammy match. absolutely wild spots! The ladder match was pretty fun as well. Also William Regal!"
[8.0] "Very good show that ended a lot of feuds on a high note, while continuing some others just as high. Only 2 matches I'd call skippable or bad and there was a lack of variety a bit, which deflated the crowd and deflated myself just watching from home... But the pros far outweigh the cons. I look forward to seeing what comes next this Dynamite as AEW has been on a roll!"
[9.0] "Very good show in general except the women matches but despite that, the PPV was very good and not to mention the public that accompanied the event very well."
[7.0] "Good show with a lot of good things going on, but also a lot of terrible things going on. The best part for me was definitely the debut of William Regal, seeing him acting as a father figure for both Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson was epic."
[10.0] "Pretty much had an excellent version of every style of wrestling between the card, for me I truly loved nearly every match and those that didn? t quite click weren? t bad it? s just that those top matches were such a high level"
