[9.0] "Shows starts with an epic cruiserweight title match, that was miles better than anything I would have expected. Fantastic performance from both men. The finish leaves room for a rematch and I am totally down for that. Garza made a believer out of me. Xia vs Aaliyah did little for me, especially with the time given and the fact that they are still relatively green. Lee vs Strong was a great one with huge implications for the future, and Scott vs Reed was enjoyable, as is every Swerve match. The real story was in the main event. Great match with a great story being told. Both women deserve props. Tensions continue to rise between the brands, and this episode made the best use of the angle, much better than last week. Kay Lee Ray and Bayley making their presences felt was enough to sell me this episode, especially Kay Lee Ray."

[9.0] "As every week really good show. Lio and Garza wonderful opening match with much exciting moves. Xia vs Aliyah just nothing to say. Lee vs Strong good match with incredible moves and Lee strenght so enjoyed. Scott vs Reed not bad, not bored. And main event ladder match Io vs Mia slow but very good brutal match and moves, were Mia maybe got broken nose and got splash to break ladder. So it's rare moments for women's division match. Happy that they always made good matches with both women's and men's. So NXT at same good momentum"

[7.0] "Fantastic beginning and end match. The middle three matches hold it back from being super amazing, however they are at least watchable. NXT is doing phenomenal on the storytelling."

[8.0] "Great show. Started with an amazing match between Lio Rush and Angel Garza for the cruiserweight title. I'm a little happy Garza didn't win because I think he has a lot of potential and I don't want to see him stuck in the cruiserweight division. Xia Li needs more training. I know they want to push her to appease to the Chinese market, but she continues to botch. If it is just her slipping off the ropes or such whatever however if she starts injuring others as she did here she needs to be taken back to the PC for some lessons on safety. I hope they put a belt on Keith Lee soon and hopefully him beating Roderick Strong gives him a shot at the North American title. The match between Isaiah Scott and Bronson Reed was a nice breather before the main event. What a main event. The only problem I had was that Mia Yim felt a little like a random body for Io Shirai to put on a show. I hope Mia Yim doesn't continue to sacrifice her body just to get over with the crowd."

[8.0] "This was what NXT does best, lots of high octane, fast paced, all action matches. Wrestling purists will notice a distant lack of convincing selling, match tactics or interconnecting sequences, it was all very "indy", one night only style stuff. For me that is fine, but tonight's episode showed very quickly that too many near falls and kicks out of finishers can damage the product. With more in ring psychology this show would have hit a 9 or 10. Even the usual botches from the women worked out brilliantly this week!"

[9.0] "This was a fantastic show, NXT's best since their counter to AEW's premier. I liked the overall story of the women's locker room getting slowly picked off. The first match was amazing, probably the best Cruiserweight Title match I've seen all year, Angel Garza is a star. Xia Li broke Aliyah's nose. The segment between the men's Wargames teams was chaotic as hell, and I can't wait to see Balor vs Riddle. Scott vs Reed was really fun, I'm a huge fan of Reed's style, so I'm always excited to watch one of his matches. The main event was nuts, Mia Yim was crucified for the world's sins and Io Shirai either legitimately injured her hand or she did a fantastic job of selling it because I couldn't tell. The dropkick spot and Yim going through the ladder were particularly gruesome. Kay Lee Ray joining Team Baszler was a swerve, but a welcome one. Overall, loved this show."
