[5.0] "This show started off well but failed to hit the important high points required to make it truly good. The opener was fast-paced and had everyone working hard, making for a good introduction to the show. ***. The battle royal had decent comedy with a burst of genuinely good wrestling towards the end. **1/2. Mochizuki & Skywalker vs Kzy & Yamato was quite fun. All 4 guys had good intensity and technique in their attacks, and each worked a rather distinctive style, leading to some creative and exciting run-on exchanges as they rapidly traded control. ***1/4. The RED vs Ultimo, Horiguchi, K-ness, & Shisa 8-man tag was underwhelming. I expected Hyo to leave a big impact to capitalise on his turn, but instead we just got a bland RED-dominated match with only Ultimo standing out from the babyface team. The countout finish was lame too, even if it fit with RED's style. **1/2. Susumu vs Ishida was a bit pedestrian in the first half with Susumu's leg targeting, but Ishida at least sold the leg quite well to make himself a nicely sympathetic figure, and both men would end up having some good big-bomb exchanges, even if their structure felt a bit 1-dimensional. Ishida's hope spots were good, and it was exciting to see Ishida cement his graduation from being a rookie by finally winning a major title. ***1/4. Strong Machines vs MaxiMuM was another underwhelming match. The Machines' gimmick and offence is terribly dull, and they held the MaxiMuM team down as a result. **3/4. Shimizu & Eita vs Saito & Kanda was yet ANOTHER underwhelming match. We just got Shimizu and Eita working their generic brawl and beatdown style while Saito and Kanda were mediocre babyfaces in response with only minimal interesting offence. **3/4. Ben-K vs Yoshino was easily MOTN. First half was slow but fine, and then the second half had far more explosive exchanges and both guys eventually fit quite compelling roles, but they sadly never reached any truly great heights. ***1/2"
[7.0] "A fairly fine show with an excellent main event. Ishida vs Yokosuka wasn't the grand coming out party for Ishida that I thought it would be, but seeing him win a title finally is pretty cool. Hard to say if the Ben/Yoshino match was as good as their match last year, but still definitely another great mark on Ben's title reign."
