[1.0] "An atrocious episode of Raw! JR's return is highly entertaining and his commentary for the Kane vs Bischoff swerve was fantastic as he really sells his hatred for both men and that really is all I have positive for this show! The booking to make Kane a pawn playing second fiddle to Bischoff was extremely disappointing and a really bad direction for the character. The matches are very lacklustre, the segments are killing time without much of anything entertaining going on and this is yet another extremely boring show! It's hard to believe Raw and Smackdown are a part of the same company because the disparity in quality between the two shows is ridiculous!"

[3.0] "I think the problem was WWE's concept of having the two brands run independently of each other took a while getting used to creatively. In this instance we have SummerSlam, but between Bad Blood & SummerSlam Raw really didn't do anything special. Now between SummerSlam and No Mercy Smackdown did the Kurt/Brock Iron Man match. Also, it was clear Triple H was hurt which was why they went from him vs Goldberg to the Chamber and saved the singles match for Unforgiven. Rebooking kinda botched the booking those weeks."

[3.0] "The best part about this show was JR's return to commentary, his commentary during the Bischoff/Kane was fantastic. The main event was really well done as well, but besides those two things, this show was pretty bad."

[2.0] "Very boring episode of Raw, as the best match was Christian/Spike and hardly anything happened outside of Kane going full heel by refusing to chokeslam Eric Bischoff after weeks of destroying the likes of Linda McMahon and RVD. The opening segment also featured not a single active wrestler for the second straight week. Crazy."
