[10.0] "A classic episode of Smackdown with great matches and the episode long storyline where Brock Lesnar is mysteriously attacked and all the fingers pointing at Angle ends with a violent twist where the whole thing was a set up with Lesnar turning heel and demolishing Angle inside a steel cage and he allied with Vince. Very well done and effective storyline angle. Elsewhere the two Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit matches, the second being restarted as a tag match is an excellent way to kick off the show, Cena gets his big win over The Undertaker with help from the A-Train and Mysterio vs Haas is a really good sprint. There nothing that stands out as bad here to be honest. It's a near flawless show with only a couple of forgettable short matches."
[10.0] "This was the perfect example of Smackdown in 2003 outside of a few stretches in the spring and fall. A very good wrestling show, as this show had no real bad matches on it with Nunzio/Gowen being the weakest by far, and the main event was a very good angle that featured the Brock Lesnar heel turn where he aligned with Vince and became "The REAL Brock Lesnar". Good stuff."
[8.0] "Benoit vs Guerrero even though a 6-minute sprint was still a good match, and it led into a solid tag match as well. Cena vs Taker was also good but those two definitely don't need to go 20 minutes on TV. The main event isn't really a match at all and just serves as a purpose to get Brock to turn heel, but I thought it was really good stuff."
[10.0] "Once again Smackdown delivers big in this era! The US title division once again stole the show in the ring, once it morphed into a tag match particularly I thought it was awesome stuff. Four top guys doing phenomenal work right there. Mysterio/Haas also really delivers, as does Taker/Cena in what might possibly be quietly their best match together. I? ll never forget Taker brutalizing Cena? s arm to the point where Tazz wondered if Cena would need to tap out even if he wasn? t in a submission. The main event is not much of a match but I really dig how they built up the story all night and delivered a significant moment in the main event. Storytelling, it? s good stuff!"
