128.10.2024Jukeboksi6.0Get to the Tag League matches here. You get some hard-hitting here and it's not too hard to enjoy the gritty nature of BJW Strong...style. We get a stereo strike exchange moment and you can tell these guys have watched their tapes the way they come up with unique stuff you don't see elsewhere. They manage to reach a fever pitch gear and stay there for a very satisfying extended duration. I'd loved for them to go longer but then the structure might have not worked, so this is more than great as it is ***3/4 Okami on the offense brings my energy down, I'm sorry. After the big tag to T-Hawk the bombs start coming out, and the action gets juicy and emphatic, but I still feel like nobody came out looking much better out of this, even if the sequence towards the finish is very nice *** More of the hard-hitting, by now I'm getting tired of it so it's hard for me to get excited, but they keep it a good length and don't go overboard. Solid stuff but nothing remarkable **3/4 They keep a good energy up right from the start. It's funny, I feel like this particular night these four could have had a better match without the weapons. It's not bad but kinda underwhelming after the other matches, and the way they mix some comedy in for some entertainment doesn't really do it for me when all the other Tag league guys represented as ultra-competitive, so it feels out of place. Not the best BJW main event, but not bad either **3/4 Definitely a satisfactory show every time you have a near 4-star bout on the card, but the rest of the card pulls it down to 6p territory for me, the Irie/Okabayashi vs Astronauts clash shining as something to really enjoy.
207.10.2019skrambr05.0Totally average/unremarkable tag league show - aside from Miyamoto's Chikara impersonations throughout the main and post-match! Elsewhere, Lindaman continues to prove himself one of the most engaging performers currently active and T-Hawk skilfully enraptures the crowd without much exertion or effort, resulting in Hashimoto being completely shown up (once again) in the process.
