"Leaving a comment to rate Kodaka vs Sakuda. The BJW death matches this year haven't been that great, but this was one of the better ones (though not the best, which is still Takeda vs Sakuda). This was relatively short at only 16 minutes, but they packed a surprisingly large amount of work in. All the big spots where fantastic, especially all those that involved the use of the scaffold, which were truly quite scary yet exhilarating. All the other typical death match spots were executed well too, and both men sold well to put everything over as appropriately devastating. Their actual wrestling work was quite good as well, mixing in smoothly alongside the carnage of all the weapon spots. It's matches and performances like this from Sakuda that make me wish he'd get a proper push some day. ***3/4"
