[6.0] "Definitely the weirdest episode of Dynamite up to this point. And as a whole, not really the good kind of weird. The wrestling feels a bit impaired (possibly because of the kinda pointless trap door from the Cody segment) and the non-wrestling segments are inconsistent (the opening has some good moments but is too long, and the segment with The Butcher and The Blade and The Bunny was unintentionally hilarious). JR's commentary at Emi Sakura's entrance was something he should not have said. The wrestling is, at the very least, consistently alright and there is a good amount of it, even with the Jericho segment, and that does a lot for the rating here. Moxley coming in at the end is interesting but doesn't amount to him just kinda standing there menacingly, I guess I'll see what comes of that in future episodes."

[4.0] "not a great dynamite. I am watching AEW from the beginning since I just started last year, having not known it was a thing, the debut of Blade/Butcher to Cody made me laugh so hard. The crowd not popping, JRs commentary. By far one of the funniest awkward wrestling segments ive seen. Kenny/PAC was good though"

[6.0] "This was a pretty disappointing episode. The wrestling was a step below that found on other episodes, probably due to people avoiding the trapdoor in the ring. Add in a couple of inane segments, and it was a dull watch. I did pop for "Chris JeriGOAT" though, even though it clearly didn't want to be there. The opening tag match between Best Friends and The Lucha Brothers failed to live up to either team's standards. Bea Priestly and Emi Sakura vs. Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida was a fine TV match, but nothing more. Cody got a squash win over Matt Knicks, before Kenny Omega and PAC put on the match of the Night. MJF and Adam Page had another decent match, although the focus was clearly on establishing Wardlow. Finally Chris Jericho defended his World Title against Scorpio Sky in a good match."

[6.0] "The worst Dynamite of 2019, in my opinion. Only the second half of the show, from Kenny Omega VS Pac (clearly the best match) to the main event are really good. By the way, this is the first time we saw the ranking system, with total wins and losses, to show us who has the best spot for a title shot. I liked that. Another nice promo by Moxley, defying all the roster. He is on fire now."

[6.0] "While a solid show, this unfortunately was one of the weaker Dynamite's I've seen so far in my watch-through; though considering the weakest have still gotten 6's that's not bad. The opening segment with Chris Jericho's thank you and celebration was insane, but ended up being my favourite of the night; it was inconsistent all together but had some moments that genuinely cracked me up. Chris Jericho was also a part of my favourite match this weak as I slightly preferred the main event over Kenny/Pac. This is the infamous episode with the debut of Butcher and Blade (also Allie becoming The Bunny) after a Cody squash match, and in 2024 I still didn't like it. Another segment I really enjoyed was Dustin's promo that led into a brawl with him and the Young Bucks fighting Sammy and PnP. This episode was built up well because of it being Thanksgiving Eve and in Chicago, but it didn't live up to the hype of being a truly great show."

[2.0] "A European that gives exactly 0 shit about NHL, the opening segment wasn't only really long and corny, but also really disintresting to me. Why was that shit 18 minutes long? Then we had the hugging brothers competing and OC dressed as a... Chicken? Monkey? Bat? I hate their gimmick and I find it moronic they beat Lucha Brothers. Then we had a meaningless women's tag team match. Then a generic Mox promo. Then a squash. Then The Blade! THE BLADE! Aka TNA's jobber Braxton Sutter. Amazing debut. At least Allie looked hot. Then we had a (solid) rematch that ended in another schoolboy/roll-up like most AEW matches. Then we had an ok match with an atrocious looking Cross Rhodes. Then we had DDP and MJF and it was the best thing about this show til this point. Then we finally had a good match between Jericho and Scorpio Sky. The worst Dynamite till now."

[9.0] "The mood/vibe of Dynamite is certainly isn't the same as it was when everything was new and fresh, probably because of the fact that honeymood period is actually over, but 'technically', the show was strong: good TV World Title match, the segment with DDP/MJF/Wardlow made me interested in MJF's future, awesome TV match in Omega vs. PAC, the debut of The Butcher and The Blade got the worst reaction possible, but it's exciting to see what's in store for them in AEW - they attacked Cody of all people, both tag matches were good and created atleast some intrigue (Fenix won the singles match last week , and Trent after defeating Pentagon in a singles match pinned Fenix - that's two in a row for him now, - what's gonna happen in their singles match? And what's gonna happen next in women's division? Matches are okay/good, but new faces begin to stand out - Kris Statlander is the biggest one right now, but who will show up next, or maybe the matches will be better - that's interesting), and the opening segment was pretty fun. Nothing extraordinary and groundbreaking, sure, and the excitement didn't really peak anywhere, but this period, when 'the real work' begins, and I, as a viewer, feel that this is the time when I need to be patient and just hope that AEW will develop the stories they have, or create new reasons to be interested and excited to watch weekly shows on the road to their next PPV. This 'slow' period came just when I was expected it to come, and I anticipate a build-up to bigger things on that PPV down the road - like a big The Elite vs. The Inner Circle match for example, another tease of which will happen next week in a 6-Man Tag Match, or what about the evolution of women's division - when is next Riho's title defense gonna happen, or maybe there will be more than one women's match on TV/PPV main show? And what about that Moxley-Jericho 'confrontation' at the end of the show? AEW isn't the greatest, but they succeed more often than not."

[5.0] "The opening with Jericho was too long and lame. The first match helped pick up the pace. Orange Cassidy in a turkey suit was something I guess. Another bad women's division match. Just go all joshi or not, stop mixing and matching. The Butcher and the Blade coming out of the ring after Cody's match was awkward. Another tag team as well. Omega against Pac was good, no complaints. Poor MJF trying to get some reaction out of expressionless Adam Page. I also don't understand Wardlow. The announce team try to big him up as a beast, but he isn't even that much taller than MJF. The main event was decent. I don't know if Moxley can get a good match out of Jericho though."

[5.0] "This was as close as AEW has come to having a bad episode. It started off well with Jericho's celebration, where Jericho was his usual super entertaining self, though SCU's eventual surprise attack was super underwhelming. Best Friends vs Lucha Bros was decent. Lucha Bros dominated with heaps of impactful moves and impressive tag work, while Chuck and Trent sold well. **3/4. Bea & Emi vs Hikaru & Kris was your typically disappointing AEW women's match, with the usual awkward chemistry and underwhelming attacks. There were a few good moments and obvious displays of effort, but then that was countered by the screwed finish. **1/4. Cody had a nothing squash match with Knicks, which I could have done without, and then 'The Butcher and the Blade' had a mega underwhelming and unexplained debut, which didn't get them over at all. They look too similar to Dark Order anyways imo. Pac vs Omega was the only properly good thing on this show outside of Jericho's segment and (to some extent) the main event. Pac bumped fantastically for all of Omega's great power moves and sharp strikes, and I liked how the match slowly progressed in intensity before Omega got a lucky but still well-deserved flash pin for the win. ***1/4. MJF vs Page was super bland. MJF's wrestling is nothing special -- just the generic cheating-and-beatdown approach -- while Page was likewise also rather bland. The screwed finish was also disappointing. **1/2. I didn't care much for the post-match confrontation between MFJ and DDP either, though DDP's promo itself was fine. Jericho vs Scorpio was an alright match. Jericho's arrogant character work remained very entertaining, making up for his lack of polished in-ring work. Scorpio nicely countered with his far more agile and flashy attacks. The near falls in the final few minutes pushed this up quite a bit, though it still felt obvious that Scorpio never had a chance at any point. ***"

[6.0] "Considering the lineup, the show felt a bit like a letdown. Many issues stem from awkward timings and interactions that felt off, starting with guest commentator Marco Martinez in the first match bringing absolutely nothing of value. The match was fine, though. Before that, Jericho proved to be the absolute MVP of the company again with an overall fun celebration. His dad got more promo time than 90% of the roster and showed that he can use it. The women's tag team match was good, both Priestley and Statlander were impressive. I also finally seemed to get Emi Sakura a little bit more, her showing a stronger heel side really helps her character. Then the return of Cody was a big disappointment, because in my opinion he needed to be able to cut a strong promo about MJF. Having " the Blade, the Butcher and the Bunny" debut like they were felt totally inappropriate from a booking standpoint, since Cody already has a feud lined up. The trio looks cool and the names are awesome, but they had no chance getting over with the horrible booking decision -- and it did not help that the commentary was atrocious. I really hate when Excalibur immediately knows more than I, as a viewer, do. It makes me feel dumb for not knowing who these guys are, or why I should forget that Allie was last being assaulted by Awesome Kong. It's stupid, and AEW really needs to stop this streak of implying that their audience is dumb. Omega against PAC was a great match, thankfully, which saved the show at this point. MJF versus Adam Page was another good match, and MJF has great heel mannerisms throughout the match. DDP presenting the ring was nice, but again the 63-year old guy got more promo time and chance to establish his (already known) character than most of the roster. At least Page and MJF had a pre-match promo, which was a nice touch. The main event was good for a " Fat Chris Jericho" match, but missed the chance to finish at the peak. The tease with Moxley was important f"

[5.0] "Omega vs PAC and the main-event carried the show. The stare-down at the end promises a lot for the next weeks. In the opening segment Jericho again uses the same WWE cheap heat tactics. The production problems made it worse. The opener match was alright, great cheating strategy by Lucha Brothers. The women's division continues to be clueless of its future. The Cody squash was unnecessary (just like any other squash), the bad timing took away the momentum for the Blade & Butcher whose character looks interesting. The Inner Circle vs Elite brawls get repetitive. The Dark Order storyline continues to be amazing, big potential. The Dynamite Diamond Ring Match wasn't bad, but the finish felt unpleasant. And once again it's annoying throughout the show when one of your commentator doesn't have a clue about the product he presents to you."

[5.0] "Just made it to a 5 with Jericho's win, the rest of the show was just about adequate. Best Friends vs Luchas was not up to the standards both teams have set and having watched Dark last night, the Trent and Pentagon exchanges were very fresh in the mind. The women's match was one of the better they have put on. The Japanese girls are so superior, but Statlander showed up well this time. But it was an exhibition match and no more. Cody's squash was fine. He was jumped by two men I knew I had seen somewhere before but a long time ago. I guess Allie just brought Cody into her feud with Brandi. But bringing two relative unknowns in through the ring gives ammunition to Twitter warriors and the inevitable "who? " headlines. Kenny vs PAC was a nothing match, cannot understand why it is on the recommended list. MJF completely flopped his first big chance to show he can wrestle, the match was a farce. Jericho saved the day after a truly awful promo to open the show. He set out a really nice match that allowed Scorpio Sky to show off some of his moves. But Le Champion looked strong and in control, nice to see a classic Jericho finish, but I love the Judas Effect. Overall, two shows in a row that were way down on what many have come to expect. The banks of empty seats in the upper tiers are a worry."

[8.0] "Probably the weakest episode of Dynamite so far, maybe around the same level as the first episode. Not a bad show by any stretch, everything was solid, it just felt like something was missing (and not just the dulcet tones of Tony Schiavone). Jericho's opening segment was great, Kenny vs PAC was great (even better than their first match, but I feel like they still have more left in them), everything else was fine. It was really nice to see Emi Sakura and Kris Statlander again; all the women in the tag match impressed, even Bea Priestley, who I've been uncertain about so far. Scorpio Sky's chances of winning were pretty slim, but it hurt to see him tap out regardless. Moxley coming out to apparently challenge Jericho afterward was a bit of consolation, though. Finally, Jim Ross was unfortunately at his very worst in this episode, calling Emi Sakura "Oriental, " among a couple other gaffes."
