[4.0] "The only two G1 Climax matches worth anything are Tanahashi vs Archer and KENTA vs EVIL. The rest is not worth any time. Good continuation of the Robinson/Moxley feud in the opener though. Entirely skippable evening."

[6.0] "Fale/ZSJ was really fun (***), Tana/Archer is my pick for the MOTN honors; Archer continued to shine & Tana gave a fabulous performance from underneath (***1/2), EVIL/KENTA was extremely underwhelming & disappointing coming off KENTA's brilliant first 3 match streak (**), Ibushi/SANADA was a charming match-up between two wrestlers who are kind of similar, but also not quite - I enjoyed it a ton (***1/4), Okada/Ospreay was pretty much exactly how I imagined it would be, I tried to care for it but just couldn't - not my kind of a match (*1/4). Overall surely the weakest of the first 7 days, but it still had 3 rock solid matches that I'd recommend."

[8.0] "Fale/ZSJ: **1/2. Fun little match. Nice ending. Archer/Tanahashi: ***1/4. Good match. Archer was great, Tana looked good here too. EVIL/KENTA: ****. Great match, KENTA is getting better by the match in this G1. I think this was the best he's looked yet. EVIL was a great opponent for him, he's having a great start to G1 himself. Ibushi/SANADA: ***3/4. Very very good. In this match there was alot of movement for the sake of movement, which to me took me out of the beginning of the match, but by the end it was very good. Okada/Ospreay: ****3/4. Absolutely incredible match. This was easily the best match they've had, and i would say the best match of G1 so far. Great match. Great show."

[7.0] "Good show, but not as good as the previous ones. Sabre - Fale - 3. 5, Archer - Tanahashi - 4. 5, Evil - Kenta - 2. 5, Ibushi - Sanada - 3, Okada - Ospreay - 4."

[8.0] "Was a great night, I liked how the early matches were relatively fast, especially the opener that gave Zack a smart win and Tana having a good match with a surprisingly (but not too much) over Archer, putting on his best in ring work at 40. What can I say about KENTA, I wanted him to lose to EVIL, so this stuff of "you come from Noah = you're an invader pal" is working with me :D Ibushi and SANADA were great but lacked of the drama to make it a classic, but it's normal since it's a G1 match and there's not a real feud and this is the 2nd NJPW match between them, the main event was hot, I honestly expected Ospreay to win and challenge Okada at Royal Quest cause it'd make sense for NJPW to make ace vs UK ace the headlining match for that show, one of the most uncertain matches of the tournament, it got me."

"Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Bad Luck Fale - [**]; Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Lance Archer - [***1/2]; KENTA vs. EVIL - [***]; Kota Ibushi vs. SANADA - [***1/4]; Kazuchika Okada vs. Will Ospreay - [****3/4] In keeping with the theme of the other two Korakeun G1 shows this year, the undercard was okay but the main event was amazing. Another classic for Okada and Ospreay continues to be the best wrestler of the year."

[7.0] "Very 7/10 show. Undercard was your standard G1 undercard, tournament matches were mostly 7/10 except the main event which was great and the ZSJ/Fale match which genuinely had me laughing."

[9.0] "This was a fantastic show. Three solid matches **** or better, with two serving as light-hearted fun. The undercard wasn't bad either."

[6.0] "Zack Sabre Jr vs Bad Luck Fale - Ok, that was fun. [**1/2] Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Lance Archer - Nice match, the legwork was good and the ending was smart. [****] KENTA vs EVIL - Common match with a good final moments. [***1/2] Kota Ibushi vs SANADA - Not like their last match, but it was pretty good. [****1/4] Kazuchika Okada vs Will Ospreay - Pretty awesome, it had very amazing moments and the neckwork was excellent. [****1/2] Solid show with some good matches."

[8.0] "Strong night from the A block as expected. The undercard did well (already hyping Juice vs. Moxley II) and overall the G1 matches did a good job. Zack vs. Fale was really cool for what it was, the context was good enough to get the crowd invested with Zack taking his first 2 points, the count out finish is refreshing. Lance Archer and Tanahashi had a good match as expected. Besides SANADA vs. Ibushi the other matches were good to great."
