[6.0] "This was decent for a "go-home" show as I guess it makes sense for WWE to have two of these for each PPV as Raw and Smackdown are completely different shows at this point. Start with some of the bullshit... RVD vs Big Show was not very good and then Big Show gets destroyed by the two jobbers for the 3 minute shtick. This is the first "3 minute" segment that I thought didn't hit right. They beat up a midget last week and women other weeks. But now the big show? And having him fight RVD to set this up? Weird all around. The six minute challenge had it's moments but it just seemed so random. I enjoyed the mud match, especially the start of it with stacy throwing trish off of the stage. To me, that looked dangerous so that was exciting. Fozzy the band may have had a chance to be good but Jericho is a shit lead man. Playing a 4 minute song as part of an angle and cross promotion would have hit better if the song was good and if Jericho could sing. Thankfully Ric Flair destroyed the instruments after Y2J threatened to play another song, and Flair put an end to it. Also it looks like he hit someone in the front row with a piece of guitar after smashing the guitar on the ring post. That was the best part of the whole segment really. The Rock's promo was weird (his last few promos have been weird tbh) and Undertaker's promo at the beginning was meh. The main event started off very strong with Lesnar/Heyman sitting courtside and security and bischoff threatening him if he gets involved. Somehow, he does get involved, security does nothing, but he doesn't actually interfere either, if that makes sense. Also, it's a no DQ match so I'm not sure how that would work. Well, apparently WWE had no clue either because the match ended in no contest somehow lol. I do think it was cool that HBK destroyed lesnar, which is a good sign that when HBK comes back this weekend, it will be more of a permanent thing than just a one time event. Also, like I said, this match started hot. It had the feeling that this was going to end up being a classic Raw TV match, but it ended up being a cliffhanger, which I guess is typical for the main event of a go-home show. Last thing, I always enjoy seeing audience members with anti-TEST signs. In the crowd there was a sign, something like "Test still works here? " . I got a kick out of that as the WWE has done so much to push this guy but he's just unpushable. Best evidence of this is as the unamericans are on the ramp at one point during the show, Christian is yelling at the crowd, pointing towards the screen, while Storm is waving the upside down flag around, and Test is just standing there not really doing much, just posing. Man, get a fucking clue you've been given so many fucking opportunities to improve your craft and have been forced into some feuds with major talent, and you still just don't get it. I really hope they just move his ass back to Heat sometime soon. Yet he's the only one of these three with a scheduled match for Summerslam, and against the Undertaker no less. Oh, almost forgot. Kane seems to be back as his fire and a new music theme came on for him as the hardcore match ended, but he never showed up. I've been wondering where he's been. I guess he's.... still gone lol whatever. edit to add: I've seen a ton of comments over the past few weeks of WWE television reviews regarding how the Rock is saving Raw. In short, I agree. Big picture, what this means is that Stone Cold was right about walking out. When they did the brand split, they made sure both Raw and Smackdown had a mega star with Austin on Raw and Rock on Smackdown. They gave Smackdown a little (lot) more help considering the Rock was a flight risk due to his movie career. They gave Raw the Undertaker, who can't even carry a main event PPV match, much less a weekly show. So then they want Austin to lose in a KOTR qualifying match to lesnar? WHY? He's supposed to be the head of the fucking show. Really at that point in his career it was weird that he'd even be in the KOTR to begin with. What an absolutely stupid fucking move that would have been... But, we're living with that right now and it took major shakeups in the plan and the Rock coming back earlier than expected to win the title in order to keep both shows interesting. And even then, Raw still has been struggling quite a bit in comparison. ok, rant over."

[2.0] "I had to make a Cagematch account because of this episode of RAW. I couldnt believe the rating was so high. This is one of the worse episodes of RAW for a while and thats saying something during this time period. We start off with an Undertaker promo saying hes an American Badass and his thoughts on the Un-Americans. Its followed by a terrible Hardcore Battle Royal. A backstage segment with Bischoff, Trish and Stacy. Bischoff says Nobody cares about Womens wrestling, so he makes a Bra & Panties match in mud. It sucks. Boring HHH promo. A decent 6 man tag match. An extremely short Big Show vs RVD match that Bischoff interrupts just as Show is about to drop the steel steps on RVD. Bischoff gets 3 minute warning to attack Show. Big Show looks stupid here. He holds the steps above his head for a long awkward amount of time before Rosey & Jamal attack him. The Rock has a promo backstage. A really painful Fozzy concert that Ric Flair interrupts, thankfully. A big main event with The Rock vs HHH but it fails to deliver. The crowd is hot for HBK but somehow the No DQ match ends in a no contest. A truly terrible episode of RAW."

[6.0] "The Rock is literally carrying the show! While Rock v Triple H is a non finish and really is only there to hype up the two biggest Summerslam matches, this does the job well and the pull apart brawls are fun and chaotic. The Rock also hits a promo before the match, and it really fun revisiting one of the most iconic feuds of the Attitude Era. I have to say for the most part besides the main event, the other matches are lacklustre and while there is some set-up for the PPV, most of the promos are boring and many of the segments are seriously drawn out. Lowlight of the show is Trish Stratus vs Stacy Kiebler in a pra and panties mud bath match because Eric Bischoff flat out says 'Nobody cares for women's wrestling'. Women's wrestling was at a very low point that year. I am seriously dreading the post Summerslam shows!"

[8.0] "They heat up all the big feuds for SummerSlam in a great way. The opening segment was a nice way to set up the 6 man tag later on in the night. The Jericho/Flair stuff all night was great with the best segment being a bloodied Ric flair coming out to attack Jericho while his band played music. The main event was a good match that ended in a lot of chaos as the two big SummerSlam feuds collided."
