[7.0] "Under card wasn't that great but wasn't compelte shit. Okada vs Fale could be the worst block match this year. And ibushi vs ospreay is 4.5 which ties best block match this year so far"

[6.0] "Average rating here was brought down by the worse than usual undercard, and the Fale/Okada match which was a WOTYC. [Ishii/Uemura vs Moxley/Umino] - 2 1/4 stars. [Juice/Henare/Tsuji vs CHAOS] - 2 1/2 stars. [Narita/Honnma/Yano vs Bullet Club] - 2 stars. [Suzuki-Gun vs LiJ] - 2 stars. [KENTA vs Archer] - 3 1/2 stars. [EVIL vs SANADA] - 4 1/2 stars (Match of the Night). [Bad Luck Fale vs Okada] - 1 1/4 stars (Worst of the Night). [Tanahashi vs ZSJ] - 3 1/4 stars. [Kota Ibushi vs Ospreay] - 4 1/4 stars. Average match rating: 2. 83 of 5 stars (or 5. 66 of 10). Rounded to 6 for Cagematch."

[9.0] "KENTA/Archer was a banging match, which didn't come off as a surprise because KENTA has such nice history of delivering quality matches against opponents much bigger than him - Archer is on a roll too (***3/4), EVIL/SANADA played off of their recently built tension very well, and overall was a very good, competitive match between the two tag partners (***1/2), Fale/Okada was the weakest of the tourney matches that night, but still good - pretty much 'the usual' between the two (***), Tana/ZSJ was absolutely awesome, the best of their 2019 matches so far (***3/4), Ibushi/Ospreay was so GREAT - I definitely didn't think adding 10 more minutes would end up making their match better, but here we are; this was much better than the Dome match, and a true highlight for this years G1 (****). The first stop at Korakuen for G1 29 more than delivers w/ every tournament match being awesome, and the main event is legit must see. Great stuff."

[8.0] "This show was awesome man, the last 2 matches were total gold, Zack and Tana had their 3rd match in 2019 and 6th overall but still managed to create magic, incredible, while the main event was great because as much as the WK encounter was cool, this one had more time and the injuries of both gave them a better story than "hey we got into this match last minute, let's fight". EVIL and SANADA delivered a super solid match, the opener and Fale vs Okada were good too, Archer is having a really solid G1 and Okada as the best in the world that he is, got a good match out of Fale, smart to keep it 10 minutes."

[7.0] "Good show, the undercard was fine and hyped up Ishii vs. Moxley pretty well. The G1 matches were at least decent. I didn't find Okada vs. Fale that bad, it wasn't here to be a great match but it did its job. The last 2 matches were very good."

[8.0] "KENTA/Archer: ***1/2. Pretty good match, with a very sudden ending. EVIL/SANADA: ***3/4. Very very good. I was bored with this in the beginning, but by the middle it was very compelling. Okada/Fale: **3/4. It was good, and then too much BS killed it. Tana/ZSJ: ****. Tanahashi looked great. Great match. Ibushi/Ospreay: ***1/3. Not as good as their WK match. Great nonetheless. Great show."

"KENTA vs. Lance Archer - [**1/2]; EVIL vs. SANADA - [***1/2]; Kazuchika Okada vs. Bad Luck Fale - [**1/2] ; Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Zack Sabre Jr. - [****1/2]; Kota Ibushi vs. Will Ospreay - [*****] Overall this was the weakest night from the A block, however the final two matches delivered and the main event delivered the best match of the G1 so far and a MOTY contender."

[7.0] "Always love a Korakuen Hall G1 event. Atmosphere is was absolutley hot-fire. Undercard was decent but nothing out of the ordinary for usual G1 shows. Kota Ibushi vs. Will Ospreay - [****]. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Zack Sabre Jr. - [***3/4]. KENTA vs. Lance Archer - [***1/2]. EVIL vs. SANADA - [***1/4]. Bad Luck Fale vs. Kazuchika Okada - [**1/4]."

[7.0] "Solid show once again, two G1 matches that were weak, two G1 matches that were fine and one G1 match that was very good. Here are my ratings: KENTA x Lance Archer - Meh, it is the cliche David vs Golias. [***1/4] EVIL x SANADA - Two LIJ members trying to prove who's the second force of LIJ, it was fine. [****] Kazuchika Okada x Bad Luck Fale - It started with a pre-match assault, not only that, but in the first minute, Jado & Owens interfered. Oh, God, what a boring match. [*3/4] Hiroshi Tanahashi x Zack Sabre Jr - Cool match, but their previous one was better. [****] Kota Ibushi x Will Ospreay - MOTN, in my opinion, but the Ankle/Neck work by both of them meant almost nothing. [****3/4]"

[9.0] "The rare G1 show where Okada has the worst block match of the five, which I thought was still serviceable. Night 3 may have been more consistent but 3 great matches here puts this show neck and neck as the best of the tournament imo."

[7.0] "Pretty great show overall but unfortunately the average I use to figure out my final rating got dragged down a lot by Okada vs Fale. Undercard was all pretty decent for an undercard, tournament matches except the aforementioned Okada vs Fale were all good to great. Definitely still got some room for improvement but probably my favourite show of this G1 so far."
