[6.0] "Nothing blow-away great on this one, but is pretty consistently decent. Worth a watch, but nothing you'll talk about a week later. [Ibushi/Ospreay/Uemura vs LiJ] - 3 1/4 stars. [Suzuki-Gun vs Bullet Club] - 2 stars (Worst of the Night). [Tanahashi/Narita/Umino vs LA Dojo] - 2 3/4 stars. [CHAOS vs Suzuki-Gun] - 2 1/4 stars. [Juice vs Shingo] - 3 1/2 stars. [Moxley vs Taichi] - 2 3/4 stars. [Naito vs Yano] - 3 stars. [Cobb vs Ishii] - 3 1/2 stars. [Goto vs Jay White] - 3 3/4 stars (Match of the Night). Average match rating: 2. 97 of 5 stars (or 5. 94 of 10). Rounded to 6 for Cagematch."

[5.0] "Although the G1 matches were mostly good ones, the outside interference, run-ins, and general US-influenced garbage had become beyond played out by the time the night was over. If it had been confined to the main event, it wouldn't have been bad. But three G1 matches out of five had nonsensical overbooking, and I never wanted to see it again. Sadly, that was not to be, and were in store for more of the same on every night of Block B action for the rest of the tournament."

[7.0] "LA Dojo/NJ Dojo 6 man: ***1/2. I really liked this. Connors & Fredericks are great. Juice/Shingo: ***3/4. This was really good. Juice looked really good against Shingo, better than usual. Taichi/Mox: ***1/4. Good. Maybe a bit out of place for the G1? Still a good match. Naito/Yano: ***. I liked this. It was fun. Cobb/Ishii: ****1/2. Great slugfest. They have such good chemistry. Must see. White/Goto: ***3/4. Very good. Goto looked really good. Very good show."

[7.0] "A slight step down in quality from night one, but still a good show. Ishii vs Cobb was MOTN, with Juice vs Shingo just behind. Goto vs White started slowly, but ended up being pretty good, whereas both the other two block matches were good, but were too short to be must watch. The one thing this show did have over the first night, was a better undercard with the opener in particular being worth a watch."

[8.0] "A very cool opening night for the B Block, every match had its meaning and while 3 out of 5 were very hot and worth being separatedly reviewed, the other 2 were very smart: Naito vs Yano was fun comedy, very effective and it may also lead to another LIJ vs CHAOS feud, good if we wanna consider that Naito may face Okada at WK. Moxley vs Taichi was intelligent as well, cause they kept it fast and short, I was afraid they couldn't match up well and keeping it short was the best choice. Undercard tags were very solid."

[9.0] "Usually don't bother with G1 undercard tags, but the KENTA & LA Dojo young lions vs. Tana & NJPW young lions one RULED (***1/2), Shingo/Juice was a really good B-Block opener for the tourney with both guys shining (***1/2), Moxley/Taichi is my pick for the best match of the night; absolutely loved it all the way through, pure physicality with such an authentic feel to it (***3/4), loved Naito/Yano as well - they played off of each others personalities so well - usual Yano fun, with Naito adding a ton & the finish was amazing (***1/2), Cobb/Ishii was the weakest of the tourney matches on the show, but still very enjoyable - pretty much exactly what you'd expect between the two (***), Goto/Switchblade was a good main event w/ White putting on a real strong performance on top (***1/4). GREAT night of G1 action. Every single one of the matches delivered."

"Juice Robinson vs. Shingo Takagi - [****]; Jon Moxley vs. Taichi - [**1/2]; Toru Yano vs. Tetsuya Naito - [1/2*]; Tomohiro Ishii vs. Jeff Cobb - [****1/2]; Hirooki Goto vs. Jay White - [***] The opening night of B block was not as good as A block's opening night, not surprising since this block has guys like Taichi and Yano compared to the loaded A block. This was still a good show though. MOTN goes to Ishii vs. Cobb. Expect Ishii vs. "blank"' to be the match of the night on most B block shows as the Stone Pitbull doesn't have too much competition for the show stealler in his block this year."

[8.0] "A very solid first night for the B block show, every match did its job. Not the most exciting first night of a block because the most over guy was against a comedy wrestler but even that match was entertaining. Jon Moxley vs. Taichi was shorter than expected but they still did a good work. The show ended with an excellent main event and a feel good moment for Goto."
TheRatemaker wrote on 13.07.2019:
[8.0] "This show was really entertaining, the wrestling was great (White/Goto - Juice/Shingo - Ishii/Cobb) and the other matches (Mowley/Taichi - Naito/Yano) were a lot of fun so I have nothing to complain about this show."

[7.0] "A good second day for the G1. Decent under-card although I was just waiting for the G1 matches. The Young Lion/Tana/KENTA match was awesome - [***1/2]. Juice vs Shingo ruled. Both styles meshed perfectly. Juice sold perfectly and Shingo hits hard to it works - [***3/4]. Taichi vs Moxley was fun. Hated the rule breaking that was in clear sight of the ref though - [**3/4]. Yano vs Naito was a fun comedy match - [***]. Ishii vs Cobb was very below par. Generic Ishii match with his opponent offering nothing other than suplexes - [**1/4]. Awesome main event with great limb-work and comeback - [****]."

[7.0] "Solid show, the G1 matches were all good. Here's my ratings: Juice x Shingo - Good match, although, I think they could be better. I mean, the in-ring action was very good, but something was missing. [****1/4] Moxley x Taichi - It's not a bad match, but it's not a good one either. This is just a match that exists and entertains you. [***1/4] Yano x Naito - MOTN, ladies and gentleman. [**3/4] Ishii x Cobb - Urgh, I fucking hate when a match is so long that makes it boring. [****1/4] Goto x White - Ok, no joke, that was the true MOTN, Goto and White were great here. [****1/2]"

[7.0] "Solid show. Undercard tag matches were all decent save for Bullet Club vs Suzuki-gun while the Young Lions/Tana vs Kenta tag was better than the rest. Juice vs Shingo was great, Moxley vs Taichi was short and not interesting, Yano vs Naito was okay, Ishii vs Cobb was the easy standout match of the night, and the main event was good and little else."
