[7.0] "TJP/Connors: ***1/2. Very good. Very fun. TJP is still one of the best. SHO/Ishimori: ***2/3. Work was very good, but this missing crowd heat. They popped for stuff, but this was late in the show and you could tell they were tired. This should have faster and quicker. Red/Ospreay: ***3/4 . This was a victim of several things. Hype, venue, timing, and more. This did not live up to the hype. The venue was ok, but not for tape. The production was crappy. The fact that this took so long to be released didn't help either, Still, a very good match. Red looked good, he's got more in the tank for sure. This went long, but it didn't feel long at all. Really good show."

[5.0] "Pretty mediocre event, most people seemed to be running on two cylinders or less but that's always been the big problem with the Super J Cup. We had two good matches, Taguchi vs Gresham (very very good, but these two rarely disappoint) and Eagles vs ELP (very very good but with a weird ending, but I understand they need to continue their rivalry down the road), a few decent ones and then a series of true stinkers, with Dragon Lee vs YOH being the low point of the night. I am beginning to see why NJPW seems to have cooled down a lot on YOH: outside of tag matches the guy is not really worth much. The main event... this is a 2019 Will Ospreay match, meaning it's all about how big and bad the Aerial Assassin is. Then people talk ill of Hulk Hogan. All in all not a must see night of wrestling, avoid unless strictly necessary."

[8.0] "Finally was able to see this. Damn good show, Hopefully they make this feel like a bigger deal next year because the inring work was phenomenal. But them waiting to release it when we clearly knew who won weeks ago is a poor choice. Amazing red vs ospreay 4. 75 stars. Watch that match if nothing else. I'll give a 4 star to Taiji vs Sho as well."
