[6.0] "Another show with historic significance. RUTHLESS AGGRESSION started here. Good rah rah promo from Vinny to start. Opening tag match pointless. Another backstage segment where Vince looked at a beautiful woman followed. The Goldust as Steve Irwin skit was really funny. Jackie Gayda was terrible in the ring - im looking forward to getting to THAT match in a few weeks. Taker and Hardy didn't have much of a match but set up a great one for next week. Raven was retired and about time. Eddie G won in a minute but ended up going through the table. If I never hear Lawler say RUTHLESS AGGRESSION again it will be too soon. Main event was an improvement on night before with some fun afters. It was a so so show really."

[5.0] "This RVD vs Lesnar match was like 10000x better than the one from just a day ago on the PPV, despite the DQ. Actually I'd say the DQ finish made it better than if it was clean honestly. This match definitely was the highlight of the show. I like undertaker vs jeff hardy and the promise of a ladder match next week. The women's tag match was legit too. Booker T going absolutely nuts with his "suckaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" is something that I love and I hope he keeps doing more of that. I know most people will want to watch this episode solely for the first "ruthless aggression" speech and the 50 other times JR and Jerry say "ruthless aggression"... but it was pretty fucking corny to me. I didn't realize that this was the infamous episode when I turned it on, and afterwards I was like "really, that's it? " So, I won't tell anyone not to watch this show or to skip it, but I didn't really care for it outside of the main event. Also, it's a piece of history really and it's nice when wrestling gives us a clean "here is the beginning of the new era" moment so we don't have to argue about it. I wonder if this era would have even been introduced if austin hadn't walked off two weeks ago."

[6.0] "I decided to watch this show due to it being the first episode of Raw in the Ruthless Aggression era. WWE was definitely going through a big transitionary stage at this point. They got the F out, the big stars of the Attitude era were either gone or were about to leave, and all the new talent from WCW and ECW were slowly starting to dominate this new landscape. And so, you could imagine why Vince decided it was important to make his iconic speech at the start of this show. Urging all the talent in the ring and in the back to grab the bull by the horn and take it out for a ride. It's definitely a cool historical segment. Booker and Goldust's partnership took me back. Such an underrated tag team. And the NWO coming out reminded me of their tragic fate not long after this. The main event was set, and we move forward. Something I've noticed a lot on this show are the extremely short matches. The product was incredibly fast paced still at this point. This took some getting used to, but I've managed lol. It's crazy to think that JBL was just a few years away from becoming WWE champion at this point. I've always liked him (not as a person due to his well-documented bullying behind the scenes). He always had a cool aura to me and I'm a big fan of strong meaty men demolishing other men (you can take that whichever way you want lmao). This was a fine tag match overall. We had a creepy Vince segment where he's uh ogling at her in a bikini. Very tough to watch. Especially with everything that we know now. Thank God he's gone. Eddie shined in his interview and in his match with Bubba. No wonder he became popular enough to win the WWE championship less than 2 years later. We had a hilarious Goldust Steve Irwin skit that I've seen before but didn't know had happened on this episode. Raven vs Tommy made me sad. It was a loser leaves town match and Raven lost. He would leave the company like 6 months later so WWE knew what they were doing with this. He's such a great character that could've been utilized really well. Vince just couldn't see it apparently. This show is one day after King of the Ring. In which Brock Lesnar won the crown and the opportunity to main event SS and face the world champion. It's insane how fast he got pushed into the main event. He only debuted just a few months before this. And I don't blame them. Throughout this whole show, he just has such an undeniable aura. his main event against RVD here was fine, but with him, I don't think he needs technical skills in the ring. This show was also a week before the iconic Jeff vs Taker ladder match for the WWE title. They had a match here that told a good story that would peak pretty soon. The women's tag match was ok? NWO vs Booker & Goldust was fine. Though this match has such an incredibly uncomfortable line from Jerry Lawler where he says "Look at Booker T's hair. It's so greasy, you could put fried chicken in there". He was always wild on commentary but uhhh you know. Overall, I think it's a show with real historical value but ok action in the ring."

[5.0] "This show had its moments like Vince's opening promo, the post-match to set up Hardy/Taker in a ladder match next week, the segments between Brock RVD and their match as well. But you'd hope for more compelling stuff outside of that still a decent show tho due to the highlights"
