I'm an honest man, I always do the right thing and last night I was assaulted and swindled out of the Intercontinental Championship by Shawn Michaels and Kofi Kingston - and you all cheered for that. Oh, oh yeah, I was double-teamed and burglarized and you're in rocketing glee on my misfortune. U-huh. But as far as Shawn Michaels goes, I was told that he was not in the building tonight. Yeah. I was told the same thing last week and I was told the same thing last night - and guess what: He was in the building. It was a lie. Shawn Michaels involved in a lie. [Sarkastisch] Who would have thunk it?

But every time Shawn comes out here and tries to attack me from behind, he winds up flat on his back, clutching his injured eye. But you know what? There's something more to that eye injury than Shawn Michaels is letting out. I can tell. I can tell. Shawn Michaels has a serious problem with that eye. ['HBK!'] Oh, that's fine, chant 'HBK', go ahead. He has a serious problem, yet he keeps coming out here to attack me at great danger. For what? To placate his massive ego? To entertain all of you? You're not worth it. You are not worth it. Shawn Michaels is paying a very big price every time he comes out here. But because I'm an honest man, I'm willing to give him a return on his investment. I am challenging Shawn Michaels to a one-on-one match at the Great American Bash. I want you to listen carefully: Shawn Michaels took something very important away from me. And now I'm taking something very important away from Shawn Michaels. And as far as tonight goes: I am going to take back my Intercontinental Championship, because both for Shawn Michaels and Kofi Kingston, the worst is yet to come."
