31.08.2025 | JimboJobson | 6.0 | Seems like there have been a few shows of late that are still remembered 23 years later. This was another. Much of the show was teasing for an Austin return that wasn't going to happen. The first match was another KotR qualifier which was really there just to continue the nWo storyline with Booker. Decent action. Vince was out next to make it almost a certainty that Austin would be back tonight. Either that or he was really just burying him. Vince looked quite choked by it, and he left a can of Steve-weiser in the ring to chants of Austin from the crowd. Very strange. Raven seems to be being featured a lot recently across the shows. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. Main focus of this match was Taker stood on the ramp intimidating Jeff following last week's actions. He still won easily with a Swanton as Taker eyeballed him. Another hilarious Goldust and Booker segment was followed by Coach asking Molly for comments on last week's fat ass comments. He was rightly slapped. Paul Heyman told nWo to stay out of Brock's match later. I wonder what will happen there... The debut match of Chris Nowinski followed. Regal seems to have dumped Molly Holly for Chris. The 'Harvard Man' came to the ring dressed all preppy before stripping off to his gold tights. He's tall, that's about all he has going for him in the ring. He won a dull match with a snark bomb before Bradshaw came in to save Spike. Ric Flair was out for his weekly promo, managing to bury Austin as he did it. He bigged up Hogan and compared his to his own legacy. He said he has signed a contract to wrestle on Raw before Austin' music came on as Eddie Guerrero came out. Really strange promoting this. Eddie was putting down Flair when Benoit came out to...turn on him also. Nowinski introduces himself to Vince , giving a rundown of his achievements just like the Miz does today. A call came in saying that 'he' was on his way from the airport. A mixed tag was up next. Crash and D-Lo had got into on Heat recently so were added to the Molly/Trish feud. Once again, this match was mainly there for Lawler to make fat ass jokes. Molly smashed Trish into the announce table after a pointless match. Jackie was the latest hotty to get into Vince's office, asking to be a Raw girl. His idea was to put her in a Diva's Undressed lingerie competition next week. She was happy to agree. I've said it before but these segments are hard to watch today. Lita was shown doing some very shading acting from WWE World ahead of her boyfriend's match with Taker next. This feud really does seem a crazy waste of a world champion. The match was short and full of run-in's before the last rites. Raven handcuffed Jeff to the top rope in order for Taker to continue the beatdown whilst he restrained Matt. Since when were they pals? Post match taker told Terri it was a lesson for Jeff but that he was ready to beat HHH at KotR. Heyman told Hebnar to dq Booker if he comes to the ring in the main event but was quickly rebuffed. All 4 nWo members came down to keep an eye on Booker and Show had to stop X-Pac from getting in the ring. They got on commentary. Booker's best mate Goldust then came down but Paul tried to move him on. This could have been a good match but they only had just over three minutes. An F5 finished it before the nWo destroyed Goldust and Book. Finally, Vince came back out and got a beer ready to give Stone Cold when he came out. The Rock came out instead who throw Vince out and told us how he loves to perform. Clearly digging at Austin he challenges anybody who doesn't want to be with the company to get the F out. 'This is Home.'
28.05.2025 | thedaynos | 6.0 | I initially felt that the Austin-arriving teases throughout the show were in poor taste and just a very bad idea, writing wise, but they sorta made up for it by bringing the Rock back at the end. I was just thinking the whole time how I'd be super pissed if I was in that crowd and heard Stone Cold's entrance only for latino heat to start playing 10 seconds later. I've been to some WWF/E events where there are surprise appearances, and the feeling is so fucking cool. And all I kept thinking about how the exact opposite was going through the fans hearts at that moment, and I was feeling very sorry for them. With that said, The Rock showing up unannounced is also very cool, so at least the fans had that going for them. Other than that, this show wasn't very good. It wasn't terrible either though. The Brock/Booker T match was fun with all of the nWo interference, and this is the first time in 2002 where I felt nWo was actually worth having on WWE. I'm sure it's because Shawn Michaels brings a whole different flavor to it. He was sorely needed. Jeff Hardy with the glow in the dark makeup was cool, and the RVD/XPac matchup to start the show was also fun. The rest was meh. With all of the austin stuff thrown in here, it became annoying.

27.07.2023 | Ruthless Attitude | 6.0 | A well known episode of Raw for burying Steve Austin on this show, but to be honest I didn't really see that. Vince McMahon's promo on him was respectful to him for everything he did for the company and Jim Ross's comments from WWE Confidential seemed to come from a place of hurt. However I don't think WWE did themselves any favours at all by centering the entire episode around his exit as there was a lot of bait and switch teases he was coming back, but The Rock's surprise return and intense promo was really good to finish the show. The reset of the show continued with Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit turning on Ric Flair over not getting to get revenge on Austin. The show was okay, but the emphasis on the talking mostly about Austin meant the match quality was mostly non-existent which was disappointing compared to what was happening on Smackdown every week. Lesnar v Booker T is a decent short match which continues Lesnar's monster push and Booker T also was set up for a good babyface run against the nWo.

Eddie hätte gerne Stone Cold bei King of the Ring besiegt.
