[6.0] "Alles in allem eine sehr solide Veranstaltung, bei der mir aber etwas die Höhepunkte fehlten. Abgesehen von den drei Matches, die hier auch korrekterweise als Empfehlenswert aufgeführt worden sind, konnte nur wenig glänzen. Susumu vs. U-T war ein gutes Match, mit einigen tollen Phasen, aber letztendlich konnte es nie den nächsten Gang erreichen. PAC vs. Dragon Kid war das beste Match des Abends mit einer hohen Intensität und vielen großartigen High Risk Moves. Man konnte hier eigentlich gar nicht anders, als für Dragon Kid zu sein, der seine Underdog Rolle wirklich großartig annahm. Der Main Event war ebenfalls gut wie so oft in den letzten Jahren, aber wie schon paar mal erwähnt fehlt mir hier einfach ein bisschen die Intensität, die so ein Match eigentlich braucht. Das Geschehen danach war aber gut gemacht und bereitete den großen Push von Ben-K vor."
[7.0] "Der Opener ist ein ziemliches Standard Dragon Gate Multi Man Tag Team Match, wobei es da sicherlich auch schon bessere und längere gab. Das Tag Team Match danach ist auf ähnlichem Niveau. Die beiden Matches danach sind vor Allem wrestlerisch etwas besser ( und dabei insbesondere das Tag Team Match), allerdings natürlich auch beide nichts Besonderes. Im Six Man Match ist Yosuke Santa Maria ein ganz unterhaltsamer Gegensatz zu den Machines. Dann kommt mit dem Open the Brave Gate Title das erste, mehr als anständige Match, welches vielleicht nicht die tiefste Story hat aber dafür einen spannenden Verlauf, bei dem der Herausforderer schnell und überraschend startet, dann der Champion übernimmt und es schließlich eine spannende Kiste wird, die hard hitting und technisch ist. Das Open the Triangle Gate Title Match ist dann zwar wirklich nicht schlecht aber halt nicht extrem erwähnenswert - im Gegensatz zum Open the Dream Gate Title Match. Dragon Kid beginnt überraschend stark sodass PAC versteht, dass er die großen Geschütze auffahren muss und gleich mal den Tombstone auf dem Apron rausholt. Dragon Kid sellt stark und ist gleichzeitig wehrhaft und kämpft mit seinem Highflying gegen die Physis von PAC an, der dann schließlich noch schwerere Geschütze auffahren muss und nach einer Kombo inklusive Tombstone vom zweiten Seil gewinnt. Ein sehr gutes Match und mein klares MOTN. Das ME sieht in der Aufbauphase das Teamwork gegen Big R Shimizu, gefolgt von Brawling gegeneinander und gefolgt von dem Overbooking durch die Stables, wie es für dieses Match typisch ist. Ich fand es etwas lang, dennoch mehr als anständig und das was nach dem Match passierte war auch storytechnisch echt interessant. Insgesamt hatte diese Show ein klares Highlight, zwei weitere sehenswerte Matches und ansonsten zwar keine Lowlights, aber zu wenig in der Breite um komplett gut zu sein, mehr als anständig und unterhaltsam war die Show aber dennoch und verdient deshalb in meinen Augen 7 Punkte."
[7.0] "A very, very good show. Opening 8-man tag was fine. **1/2. K-ness & Saito vs Ichikawa & Shachihoko was a very funny comedy match. **3/4 Yoshino & Ishida vs Eita & Ben-K was a storyline-heavy match but had time for some decent actual wrestling as well. **3/4. Kai, Maria, & Kagetora vs Strong Machine Gundan was my least favourite match. Tribe Vanguard didn't impress much and the Strong Machines do nothing for me (no, not even Strong Machine J who everyone apparently loves). **1/4. Susumu vs U-T was the first properly good match on the show. U-T gave an awesome babyface performance and showed off superb skill while Susumu displayed immense power. Great chemistry. Match needed to go longer. ***3/4. Mochizuki, Watanabe, & Minoura vs Sakamoto, Yoshida, & Kanda was pretty good. Both units worked well as a team and I especially enjoyed Mochizuki acting as mentor and leading a lot of his unit's group attacks. This R. E. D team also doesn't get enough praise for the decent power moves and general quick pace they bring. Finishing stretch had a good pace too. ***1/4. Pac vs Kid was easy MOTN. Some of the craziest, most dangerous spots you'll see all year, yet executed with flawless technique. Great stuff. ****. The Steel Cage Unit Bonds match was absolute wacky fun. It had good actual wrestling, a very creative use of props, and some fun ideas relating to the actual concept of how the flags would be grabbed. This was at times full-blown hilarious mayhem and at times genuinely compelling drama -- a mix that I very much appreciated. ***1/2. The drama at the end was underwhelming and sadly held the entire show back for me, since this was the payoff to the big main event, after all. My issues were that Shimizu was far too obviously going to turn on Ben-K, Doi randomly had a change of heart and embraced Kid, Kzy and Yamato were obviously not going to turn (and it would have been stupid if they did), and Skywalker leaving MD wasn't shocking."
[9.0] "Really enjoyed this show! Really liked the Ben-K tag, the Dream Gate match, and of course the DOA match itself, but the sleeper hit of the show was Susumu/U-T, which actually rocked incredibly."
[7.0] "Good show to set the stage for King Of Gate and the rest of the DG calendar. Brave Gate was a fun title match but felt too short for the story they were going for, ***3/4. Triangle Gate match was as good as you were gonna get with R. E. D. , ***1/2. PAC vs Kid was MOTN unsurprisingly as it was a great bomb fest between the two high flyers, ****1/4. Main event was fun for what it was with some interesting developments from the match result, ****."
[9.0] "Keisuke Okuda is very good. He can be the third in the potential Shun & Ben-K & ? stable. Stalker made me laugh after long time. Strong Machines are too young and they have big potential. Maybe Strong J can leave from group, rise single and make F & G like Strong J and that would be the best plan but their this triple form is very good too. U-T has improved a lot. I love his new technical style and match was awesome. 4. 25 i think. It was good to see Kota with a high profile in match and despite the length of match, it was awesome. 4. 25 again. Pac's best match in DG after his return. He was so ambitious, maybe the reason is from Dragon Kid because he is Pac's idol. 4. 50. After the 7 man match from last year, this year's cage match didn't made me so precious but due to after of match and some comedy returns, i give 4. 50. They've done maybe the best move to R. E. D and Mochi Dojo. I'm so happy for Ben-K. Show was very good."
