[9.0] "Fun opener with Moxley and Umino, good battle between Shingo and Kojima, Fun tag match with Liger and Suzuki being the highlights of it. The six man tag was definitely the lowest point of this. Pretty good NEVER title match and an average tag title match followed by the debut of KENTA! Exciting action with the Junior and IC title matches. Then the interesting main event which felt different from the usual NJPW main events in a good way. All in all, possibly my favourite event of 2019!"

[10.0] "I thought this show was really great. For the most part, every match was at the least really good. There was one exception with the opener being fairly forgettable but it was okay. That would be the weakest match on the show. Everything else from there on was great. Shingo Vs Kojima was a really great brawl. The two tag matches between that match and the NEVER openweight title match were both really good. Both were fast paced and interesting. They surprised me by being as good as they were for me and that makes it even better. Ishii vs Taichi was probably my second favorite match on the show. At the very least top three overall. Taichi was really awesome in the match and same with Ishii. Taichi showed a ton of intensity that you rarely see with him and the match was really great with all the nearfalls. The IWGP heavyweight tag match was a great, fast paced match. Both teams worked really well and worked really well together. I thought EVIL and SANADA stood out. The Junior heavyweight and IC title matches were both top tier matches and were the standout matches along with the NEVER openweight match. The Junior heavyweight title match was crazy and both Ospreay and Dragon Lee were amazing. I think The IC title match was the best because it stuck with me the most by the end. Both destroyed each other and the match was an all out war. Naito stays being one of my favorite wrestlers today as he always has the best matches. The main event was kinda underwhelming early on but actually surprised me as it became really good by the end as it got better and better as the match went on. Both guys were really good. Some other cool things were all the announcements to enter the G1."

[8.0] "Many have considered this to be the weakest Dominion in several years, and that may well be the case, but overall I still found it to be a pretty enjoyable event. Ospreay vs Lee, Ishii vs Taichi and Naito vsIbushi were, despite Ibushi's nasty neck bump, quite enjoyable overall. The main event probably won't be part of either Okada's nor Jericho's career-best highlight reel, but was fine for what it was, and, on the undercard, Shingo vs Kojima, Tana/Juice/Taguchi vs Bullet Club and Liger/YOSHI-HASHI vs Suzuki/ZSJ were fun. I would agree that GoD vs EVIL/SANADA, while not bad, wasn't anything we haven't seen before at this point. Overall good stuff."

[8.0] "Very good show, but like most of NJPW's shows this year, not as good as previous years. Moxley Vs Umino was fun, can't wait to see them team in the G1 (**1/2) Shingo Vs Kohima was a hard hitting action packed match, and it was really good (***3/4) Liger & YH Vs Suzuki-Gun was alright, hopefully this is leading to Liger Vs Suzuki at WK14 (**3/4) Taguchi Japan Vs Bullet Club was again alright, nothing too special (***) Ishii Vs Taichi was great, Taichi is a late bloomer, with some of his biggest matches coming out of this year (****) GOD Vs EVIL & SANADA was ok, just not my thing, we've seen this combination too many times now, and it's time for a change (***) Ospreay Vs Lee was fantastic, definitely my MOTN, Ospreay is definitely wrestler of the year so far, and I think he can only go uphill from here (****3/4) Naito Vs Ibushi was also great, with some nasty spots thrown in there, good stuff (****1/2) Okada Vs Jericho wasn't bad, but it just wasn't main event worthy, I think we're at the point where Jericho is really declining now, he needs to retire. I think the problem with this one is that people were expecting a 5 star classic, but that's not what they got, but I still enjoyed it (****)"

[7.0] "My third NJPW event wasn't as expected, but it was still an enjoyable show for the most part. Umino/Moxley was a solid but quick opener. Not a bad way to start the show. Takagi/Kojima was another solid match, but one that did not do much to peak my interest. The tag match was fun, with Suzuki looking like a beast. The 6 man tag had some cool moments and was overall an entertaining one for a multi-man match. Ishii vs Taichi was surprisingly enjoyable, considering Taichi does little for me. Result was unexpected for sure. The tag title match was pretty good but did little to peak my interest. Ospreay and Lee had a fantastic match. The match was fast paced with plenty of spots as one would expect from these two. Easily the best match of the show so far. First off, let me say the Ibushi's head dropping on the apron was frightening and sick to watch, and I've seen plenty of death matches to know what's sick. The match itself was another highly competitive and awesome contest, mirroring the one before it. Two straight five star matches at this point. While watching the main event, I am reminded of how great of a heel Jericho is. The match was good fun but it was carried by Okada, if I can be honest. Jericho is still great but the years are showing. Match went a few minutes longer than it needed to. A very solid event here, one worth watching for the later half."

[9.0] "While this year was definitely no where near the quality of the last 2 Dominions, still a really good show. Moxley/Umino ***1/4 exactly what it needed to be. Shingo/Kojima ***3/4 again exactly what it should be, big win for Shingo over a veteran to setup his G1 run. The 2 tags were fine even though Tana looked a little out of it in his match. Ishii/Taichi ***3/4 really good match to me, it? s probably just working with Ishii but I? m starting to warm up to Taichi a little. GOD/Evil & Sanada ***1/2 fine tag match, nothing special. Ospreay/Lee ***** another amazing Ospreay match, both guys were great. Naito/Ibushi ****1/4 I really like the match other than the German on apron spot but I hope this is the last singles we get with them for a while. Okada/Jericho **** I liked this as a change of pace Championship match, it? s good to switch up every now and then and everything with Jericho being a superheel and setting up a Tanahashi match"

[8.0] "Not near the level of the past couple of Dominion events, but still a good show. Ibushi vs Naito was my MOTN and this was their best encounter since the G1 in 2017. Ospreay vs Dragon Lee was also very good, although not as good as the BOSJ final. As for the rest of the card, Taichi vs Ishii and Shingo vs Kojima are worth a watch, but the rest of the show outside of that isn't anything worth going out your way to see."

[8.0] "Shota/Mox: **1/4. Fine. Short, effective. Exactly what it should have been. Shingo/Kojima: ***. Good match, about as long as it should have been. Taichi/Ishii: ****. Ishii seems to have the formula on how to get great matches out of Taichi. This was great. Dragon Lee/Ospreay: ****2/3. This was incredible. If this would have been given the time that the Super Junior final got, it might have equaled it. This was must see. Ibushi/Naito: ****1/4. Jesus. What a dnagerous match. At times this was a bit uncomfortable. Still great. Jericho/Okada: ***3/4. Finish felt kind of flat, but still a very good match. The finish was more of an angle, which they usually don't do in this spot. Great show."

[9.0] "Moxley vs. Umino was exactly what I wanted it to be - 4 minutes of awesome action w/ Moxley viciously dominating while Umino got to have some great high energy, fiery moments on the offense of his own (***), Shingo/Kojima was hard hitting & played up the Junior vs. Heavyweight dynamic of it really well throughout - up to this point, my favorite Shingo singles match in New Japan, definitely makes me more interested in his upcoming G1 run (***1/2), Liger & YOSHI-HASHI vs. Suzuki-gun was pretty good - Zack & Minoru are always a fun duo to watch, and the Suzuki vs. Liger interactions ruled (**3/4), Team Tana vs. Bullet Club was extremely underwhelming & dull even for NJPW undercard multi-man tag match standards (*), Ishii/Taichi I would rank a tad bit under their Cup meeting, but this was also rock solid, good match (***), G. O. D. vs. EVIL & SANADA looked very dull on paper, but I actually had a lot of fun with it - EVIL's FIP segment is good & SANADA is a great hot tag, good match (***), didn't care one bit for Lee/Ospreay - just your usual, generic, boring bombfest, but at least the dive from Dragon Lee that took out both Ospreay & poor Milano was awesome, so at least it had one memorable moment (*), Naito/Ibushi was the MOTN - extremely scary & great at the same time (****1/4), I also really enjoyed Jericho/Okada & thought it was great - very different from your usual Okada big match which was VERY welcomed - maybe my favorite Jericho match since his non-WWE run started (****). Overall there was 2 matches that I didn't really dig at all in Dragon Lee vs. Ospreay & the Tana tag, but overall, Dominion was a really damn good show. Great matches, good matches & awesome moments (especially KENTA! )."

[8.0] "Good Dominion show. Not much to complain about bar the NEVER title match (boring as only Taichi matches can be) and the show ending. Will Ospreay vs Dragon Lee was an absolutely amazing display of athletic prowess and truly memorable: you have to be a grumpy old man to complain about that match. It looked like a flesh and bone videogame: absolutely incredible. Naito vs Ibushi was great: it's simply amazing how Naito can have the crowd cheer him one minute and boo him the next. My prediction: if Ibushi somehow manages to avoid getting injured he's the #1 contender to win the G1 Climax 2019. The main event was fine in itself: Jericho is what? 48? 49? He needs to work a slower match and to pause regularly to catch his breath. Okada can work with that. What he could not work around was Jericho's frankly embarrassing "gimmick" and the ugly finishing sequence. For the rest I really loved the G1 Climax "surprises" and how Moxley destroyed Umino in the opener: it's great to see he's got his motivation back again. I hope to see more of the guy running on all cylinders. I cannot complain about this Dominion, honestly: it may not be memorable for years to come but it delivered."

[8.0] "Gold and Diamond Lightning struck twice with the Dominion shows from 2017 and 2018, but this year that kind of delivery was about 80-85% there. Ospreay vs Dragon Lee was Match of the night. Definitely worth 4. 5 stars at minimum. Ibushi vs Naito was an excellent match also, but not on par with their 2 matches from the last 2 G1 Climaxes. About 4. 5 maximum I would say. Ishii Vs Taichi was an excellent match for Taichi and a great match for Ishii. 3rd best of the night at 4. 25 maximum. Okada vs Jericho was... disappointing. It was disappointing is the same sense as Omega/Jericho 2. It had tons of hype, and it was very good. But it didn't capture my attention as it could have. 4. 25 stars at maximum, but is perhaps 3. 75 instead. Kojima vs Shingo was a great 11 minute match. Hard hitting and fun. Gets about 4 stars. And despite being short, I enjoyed Moxley vs Shota. The tag matches were okay with G. O. D vs L. I. J being the best 1."

[5.0] "This show was not up to the standard of an NJPW big 2 show. The best matches on the show were Ospreay-Lee and Naito-Ibushi but both were only ****ish and wouldn't have even been the third best match on the BOSJ finals. Even if you don't count the awful main event, this felt more like a Wrestling Dontaku or a Power Struggle than a Dominion. This reached the same level of bad as the infamously terrible Dominion 2014 and fittingly ended with the crowd booing the terrible main event and the fact that NJPW fans are likely going to get subjected to another Jericho match at a future event."

[8.0] "I think it was a great show. the Junior match and the IC Title match particulay stood out, they were both insane, especially the IC Title one. Ishii vs Taichi did well too. The main event was good, weird final tho, looked more like a WWE finish. The show was totally enjoyable, we've seen better Dominion shows but this was great too. Also, very good to see Moxley and Takagi announcing that they will join the G1 Climax, as well as the returning (and NJPW debuting) Kenta. 3 awesome debuts for the G1, 2 title changes and a Jericho vs Tanahashi down the line, Dominion delivered also when it comes to giving hype for the future, cause in the last years this show always had something crazy happening so it had to happen this year as well."
Hunter Dunn wrote on 09.06.2019:
[8.0] "Overall really good show but the weakest Dominion since 2016, maybe even 2014. Mox/Umino was a standard squash but entertaining **. Shingo/Kojima was pretty good ***1/4. Liger+Hashi/Suzuki+ZSJ was a basic tag **1/2. Team Tana/BC was another fairly standard tag **3/4. Ishii/Taichi was great. Weird having Taichi be a hard hitting badass, but great nonetheless ****. GOD/LIJ was good but they just don't have a notable chemistry to make something special ***1/2. Ospreay/Lee was an awesome match as expected. Not too many crazy spots but the ones that were there were great ****1/2. Naito/Ibushi was another awesome match. I feel they work a style that doesn't lend itself to a 5* classic, but a style that still always results in something amazing ****1/2. Okada/Jericho was really good but a very weak IWGP title match. I know Jericho is older but I still had hoped for better against Okada. Didn't expect this to be his weakest in NJPW ***3/4."

[9.0] "The opener was what it had to be : quick and demonstrating Moxley in front of a Big japanese audience. I'd Love to see him in the G1, like Shingo also, what a standing performance, and props to Kojima to sell Shingo ! The 2 multi Man, just There and didn"'t give two hooks. Yoshi-Hashi will never happen, stop with him. The NEVER match was surprisingly really good, love Taichi when he's on full game mode, happy for Ishii but let him have a really long, strong and meaningfull Title reign till WK 14 where he drops it for Shingo. The tag match was really fun and enjoyable, why not for the finish but clearly NJPW has to legitimize more heavyweight tag teams, cause right now their tag division is as horrible as WWE's. The jr match was just brilliant ans excellent, i mean these 2 cannot have a bad match together. Don't want to see Ospreay in the G1, cause already 3 Big surprise entrants (Mox, Shingo, and mutherfucking KENTA ! PS: I LOVE SHIBATA). I feared so much in some parts of the IC Title, legit thought that Ibushi was going to die. Love the love/hate relation of Naito and Osaka and his victory makes sense. The M. E delivered, but not as much as the world would have wanted, but still smart finish. You protect the codebreaker, rainmaker, and Jéricho as a monster heel who's undsoppable and unpinnable"

[8.0] "Umino vs Moxley - The match starts in a good way, with a outtanowhere Tope Con Hilo by Umino, it was all good, but ended up shortly. [**1/4] Shingo vs Kojima - A battle of titans, this was very good from the beginning to the end. [***1/4] Suzuki-gun vs YOSHI-HASHI & Liger - A standard Tag Team Match, nothing special, but I have to say that I'm not surprised with the result, since I thought Tacos would challenge Zack for the British Title. [**1/2] BULLET CLUB vs Taguchi Japan - Another standard Tag Match, there's nothing to say. [**] Ishii vs Taichi - Cool match! The amount of storytelling here is excellent. [****1/4] EVIL & SANADA vs GOD - Meh, this was more boring that I was expectating, not only that, but it was a bullshit ending. [***] Ospreay vs Lee - This was incredible! Their chemistry is simply amazing. [****1/2] Naito vs Ibushi - This match is happening once again, but it's still very good! [****1/2] Jericho vs Okada - That was... a regular Chris Jericho Match since 2016. I was expectating to be that way, so, I'm not disappointed at all. [****] Overall, that was a good show, especially when KENTA appeared (which made me confused about my feelings, I didn't know if I was happy or very frustrated). Still, that was a weak Main Event, just fire Chris Jericho goddammit."

Hope authority will appreciate him. The juniors match is also very good, but Naito and Ibushi clearly stole the show. I really hope that we will not see Jericho again in the main event with such terrible matches. Even the audience howled"
