[8.0] "It's not perfect, it's rough around the edges, but overall it's a fun show. The opening No Holds Barred tag team match was fun and worked well to hide Taker's poor state at this stage of his career. Revival vs Usos was a solid display between two elite tag teams, and Black's solo PPV debut vs Cesaro was very good though short. Bayley vs Cross & Bliss was mediocre with not much happening. Strowman vs Lashley was an incredible hoss fest all around the arena. Styles vs Ricochet was good but a bit disappointing and the crowd was not really into it. Owens vs Ziggler... happened. Kingston vs Joe fell a bit flat and they needed more time, and while the main event gets shit on a lot, I still found it entertaining and with some cool spots. The cash-in was dumb though."

[7.0] "Although the crowd was dead for most of the night, this ended up being a strong show, with the first three hours being good in particular. Things didn't end well though, as everything after Ricochet and Styles was poor, even though the main event did slightly exceed my extremely low expectations going in. Lashley vs Braun was my MOTN as it was everything I personally look for from a modern day LMS match, whilst the opener was the best the Undertaker has looked in a while. Overall a good show, but you could turn the show off after the US title match and not miss anything interesting."

[8.0] "Despite suffering from the usual issues of length and padding, Extreme Rules was one of the stronger main-roster WWE PPVs of the year thus far. Styles vs Ricochet and Black vs Cesaro were great; Strowman vs Lashley, Bryan/Rowan vs New Day vs Heavy Machinery and Revival vs Usos were good, and the opener was surprisingly strong with a good use of Undertaker at this point. And while I haven't been a huge fan of the storyline, I thought the main event was pretty fun for what it was. Good effort overall."

[7.0] "Plenty of matches on the show here that I'd recommend watching: Pretty much everything apart from the SD Women's Championship match, the WWE Championship match and the mixed tag main event were really good matches and even then those three weren't awful in anyway. Quite an enjoyable night of professional wrestling. A 7/10 for me, good show."

[6.0] "Dont the 6. 0 fool you, after reading some peoples review as well was giving it some deliberation and thought, this was still a good event, i knocked it off 4 points because (a. Brock cashed in and won the belt) (b. Some of the matches werent that good) but theres a couple silver linings, 1. The matches that didnt do good were not that bad (around the **1/2-***) 2. Some of the matches that did do good were very good and 3. Brock might not actually hold the title for long. Thats why i gave it a 6. 0"

[7.0] "Rock solid show, without a showstealer, excluding the SD tag match, which was more of a fun match, than a bout for the ages. Still, it was (almost) always enjoyable, with no particular low points. ; Reigns & Taker vs. Shane & McIntyre: **3/4 (this had a surprising sense of urgency and Taker looked just good, then they had to have the spotlight again on Shane jumping around and it killed the match); Revival/Usos: ***1/2; Aleister/Cesaro was clearly cut short but it was really good for the time given: ***3/4; Bayley vs. Cross & Alexa: **; Braun/Lashley: **1/2 (please keep this two locked together in their feud); NewDay/DB-Rowan/Heavy Machinery: ****; Styles/Ricochet: ***1/2; Kofi/Joe: *** (Joe is just great in pushing fools around, but Kofi was just weak here): ***; Seth-Kecy/Lacey-Corbin: **3/4"

Very pleased with the main match, the match with the Undertaker and the match for the wwe SmackDown Tag Team Title. Against the background of previous pay-per-view, this is 9 points. Although the Stomping Grounds was surprisingly good."

[9.0] "Brilliant PPV. Lots of high standard matches without any real standout MOTN. WWE needed a strong show after AEW's flop the day before and they got it. They really showed off the depth of their roster, with stars like Black, Cesaro, Drew and Lashley who are nowhere near main-eventing turning it on. Roman Reigns' performance in the opening match was the only thing preventing a 10 from me, just how long can he continue to be so uncreative? I've no issue with Lesnar taking the title, I've been saying for weeks that Rollins looks injured and slow (he did again tonight) and it wouldn't be a surprise if he took time off until Summerslam. Overall a must watch with every match interesting and skillful, a real show of strength from the company."

[9.0] "One of the best PPV of 2019 so far, entertaining from start to finish and with matches for all tastes, although a bit long. Taker-Roman/ Shane-Drew was a very good opener; Usos/Revival was good, Cesaro/Black great (my favorite), the Handicap Match was solid and they made good use of the stipulation, Strowman/Lashley was the battle of monsters that had to be and was very good, the 3 Way Tag was another great match, AJ/Ricochet really good, the KO stuff was cool, Kofi/Joe another solid match (with a tired audience) and the main event was very entertaining."

[7.0] "This was the best WWE PPV of 2019 so far in my book. The opener was good and I think it redeemed Undertaker from the terrible Goldberg match (***1/2). Revival vs. Usos was really good and action-packed throughout (***3/4). Black vs. Cesaro was really good for the relatively short amount of time they were given, and although the outcome was rather obvious, they both still had a good showing (***3/4). The women's Handicap Match was the worst of the night, although not as bad as some people are making it out to be. However, I really thought they should have put the title on Bliss/Cross to further that story (***). Braun vs. Bobby was better than I expected, even though the ending kind of fell flat since we never saw the impact of the move (***1/2). The tag title match was great and they went with what I thought was the least likely outcome, so kudos to them for unpredictability in that match (****). Styles vs. Ricochet was also great, as you'd expect with those two, and that title change was pretty unpredictable as well in my book (****1/4). Owens vs. Ziggler (N/R). I thought Kofi vs. Joe was pretty boring (***). The mixed tag match was great, also better than I expected (****). I really disagree with the cash-in, but it is what it is (N/R)."

[9.0] "Reigns & Taker vs. Shane & McIntyre was a hot opener with good action all the way through (***1/4), Revival/Usos was a quality tag bout (***1/4), Aleister/Cesaro was a very enjoyable strikefest with some good psychology around Aleister's kicks & his attack on Cesaro's leg (***1/4), Bayley vs. Cross & Alexa was the weakest match of the night, but still pretty enjoyable, and you could say it somewhat over delivered looking at it on paper (**1/2), Braun/Lashley was a very nice brawl all over the arena (***), the SD Tag Title match was the easy MOTN; just excellent tag wrestling from bell-to-bell (****), Styles/Ricochet was very good with Styles especially being absolutely awesome in it (***1/2), also really enjoyed Kofi/Joe; it was mostly a Joe-on-top -show, and I can't help but to love it (***1/2), the main event was WAY better than I expected - very entertaining from start to finish & the finishing run was kick-ass (***1/4). One helluva show! Only one match out of the 9 was not at least good, and there's at least one must-see match in the SD Tag Title one."

[7.0] "The show was good, every match had its meaning, the feuds weren't exciting at all but they did the best with what they had, even the SD Women's Title match was decent. Tag team matches were the highlight of the night (3 1/4 stars for both) as well as Cesaro vs Black (same), AJ and Ricochet just started so it's ok what they did, hope they can do more at Summerslam even if honestly AJ's WWE level is not close to what he did elsewhere (despite being still very good). Probably the show suffered from the lack of extreme stuff, the last man standing was nice but IMO a bit too long. The World Title matches were very weak when it comes to interest, nobody buys Joe as a title challenger and this 10 minutes loss won't help, same goes for the Raw match, Corbin killed the interest over Rollins after a great match with AJ and now Lesnar is champion again, feels like Rollins has been wasted, hope Becky can save herself at least. Taker's match was good."

[9.0] "Wasn't thrilled with the end, but the rest of the show was very fun from a live perspective. Undertaker looked better than he has in a long time, Strowman and Lashley of all people had the match of the night with a riotous Last Man Standing, and guys like Black and Cesaro got to show off what they can do. I also quite liked the Smackdown Tag Team Match. The crowd was hot throughout the show and most everything worked. And even the main event ended up being stronger than I expected. I'm biased due to being there live, but this was probably the best WWE PPV of 2019 other than Wrestlemania. Here's hoping Summmrslam keeps up the pace."

[6.0] "Thanks to AEW effect now WWE starts take wrestling seriously. The show is ok, not great, but it's ok. Black vs Cesaro and AJ vs Ricochet very good matches. But the problems are still the creative team. Who decided to not put Balor vs Nakamura on PPV is an idiot. I don't like short match like Owens vs Ziggler, I don't like to see Samoa Joe lose EVERY important match, and I really hate the fact to see Brock Lesnar champion, WWE needs to have his champion every monday."

[10.0] "Great opener that subverted expectations and shows that with the right opponent (or opponents in this case), The Undertaker is still a worthy member of the roster. ****. Good tag match between the RAW teams, hopefully more to come between them. ***. Great match between Black & Cesaro, and unlike anything else on the card. ****. Above average Handicap match for the Smackdown Women's title. ***, surprised the Sasha Banks return didn't occur. Surprisingly good LMS match between Strowman and Lashley, probably Lashley's best WWE match. ****. Good tag team with all 3 teams performing, title change was a surprise. ***1/2. Great match between two of the best in the world, with Styles winning the title. Hopefully the feud continues. ****. Great segment with the unpopular Ziggler being squashed and another good promo from KO, potential to be the biggest Face in the company in the next few months. Slightly underwhelming match between Kofi & Joe, hopefully they have a rematch and Joe gets the belt. ***1/2. Good mixed tag-team main event with all four playing their parts well. ***1/2. Nice surprise with Lesnar winning the title at the end. Overall, best show top to bottom of a stacked week of 'big events' in the wrestling world. No real lulls and plenty of good stuff and variety on show. Keep it up WWE"

SD's doubles championship is also very interesting. AB and Cesaro's game is also good if it lasts longer. Brock became the third champion and looked forward to how the story would develop"

This is the moment when it is really interesting to wait, what is going to continue on RAW and SmackDown Live, which will go be under the authority of Heiman and Bischoff."

Black and Cesaro however was excellent. Cesaro needs a world title run ASAP. Strowman and Lashley was a fun hoss fight that exceeded my expectations. all in all, an okay show. not perfect by any means, but a sign that things are changing."
