[4.0] "This was a very long show. The matches had a lot of talented wrestlers but many of the matches were super short. MOTN was clearly the Briscoes brothers wrestling each other. Felt you could see fatigue from some of the wrestlers later in the tournament. A lot of the non-tournament matches were not well done."

[4.0] "The opener had fine action but felt unimportant and basic, the second match weirdly oscillated between entertaining handicap match and awkward 3-Way that wouldn't end, the third match was quite decent but terribly short and the fourth match was pretty sloppy but benefited from Ruckus's popularity, as did the following Trios match that sadly wasted it with slow boring wrestling and an horribly phony finish. In the Quarterfinals, Winger/Red was terribly short and never had time to get started, Jay/Mark had a great atmosphere and they delivered in spades for the crowd, Berk/Fujita showed chemistry and the genesis of a nice little program, and Acid/Juventud had some fun and energy but felt a bit formulaic and underwhelming. In the semi-finals, Winger/Fujita tried to provide intensity, but something got lost and felt emotionally hollow, while Trent/Jay was more lively but lost steam as they meandered with crowd brawling, which made the finish much less effective. The War Games Match was quite fun, providing intriguing violence on a night focused on technical wrestling and worked well within its structure. The Finals started awkwardly and lacked rhythm, but when Johnny Kashmere revealed himself as the masked man, the energy level instantly rose, and while the lengthy setup from spot to spot persisted, the highspots got bigger, before settling back into sloppy chain wrestling that improbably led to the anticlimactic finish. I used to like this show a lot, but it has badly aged and the sloppiness of the shallow available roster showed a lot. The tournament , upon review, is pretty mediocre, loose and lacking energy, with a weak result to flatter a partner promotion that will not give benefits long-term, but the non-tournament War Games is fun and adds to the show's quality, and The Briscoe's performances were very memorable, so there is an acceptable amount of highlights to catch, as well as the beginning of a tradition that will grow bigger and better through the years."

[5.0] "A historically significant, if unspectacular show. I found it interesting that this broadcast had no commentary despite the usual announce team of Eric Gargiulo and John House being present at the start of the show. The tournament itself wasn't exactly Super J-Cup '94, but it was a solid enough early 00's indy show. Match of the night would be a young Mark Briscoe vs Jay Briscoe when the two were still in high school (***1/2)."

[4.0] "Blade vs. Red vs. Winger was an alright opening match, it had some nice moves and spots. **. Jay vs Mark vs Mondo was a good 3 way, and had a pretty cool back drop/powerbomb table spot. Jose Maximo vs. Minoru Fujita vs. Nick Berk was pretty short. *1/4. Joel Maximo vs. Ruckus vs. Trent Acid was alright, the match had some nice moves and near falls. **. Jeff Rocker & The Rachies vs. Ruckus & VD - I thought was pretty boring. *1/4. Red vs Winger was ok, and was much better than their 3 way match. **1/4. Jay vs Mark - considering the Briscoes were 16 and 17 (I think) in this match, it was pretty damn good. ***1/2. Fujita vs. Berk - I honestly wasnt expecting to much out of this match, but it wasnt too bad. **3/4. Guerrera vs. Trent Acid was ok, it was nice to see the Juice in CZW. **. Fujita vs. Winger was ok **1/4. Briscoe vs Acid was an alright match, and had some nice chair spots. **3/4. The War games style match was an enjoyable match with some nice moves and spots. ***. Acid vs Winger was a good final match **3/4."
