[5.0] "The show had its ups and downs, with some decent matches like Edge vs Angle and RVD vs Undertaker, but the build felt forced. The Rock and Austin segment was fantastic, delivering hype for Survivor Series and making the belt consolidation angle feel important. The final promo was a highlight, intensifying the PPV buildup."

[8.0] "Interesting start. There's a Kurt Angle promo which is decently entertaining, then it's interrupted by Edge who wants the US Title, right now! So, right away I'm thinking, great, they're giving Edge a real deal push, which they should, cause KOTR, right? But then I realize that due to the Alliance vs WWF storyline, which is supposed to end at survivor series and hopefully means that belts will be combined, then it all makes sense. Edge needs the US title so he can go head to head with TEST for the IC title, and then unify the belts. I fucking hope someone else has the IC title by sunday, but at this point I'm not going to pretend that the WWF knows what the fuck they're doing and honestly they're in a lose/lose with me right now because either a) TEST still has the belt on sunday which will make for a shitty match, or b) TEST loses it between now and sunday and that will piss me off because title matches should be special and there probably shouldn't be a title match before sunday.. so, fuck my life. Whatev. And of course I'm right so far here as Edge beats Angle with the help of an interference threat. This doesn't do much for Edge but I suspect he'll get his on Sunday. Edge does get a spear on Angle, which helps to sell the spear as a deadly finishing move. ok so the very next match, TEST loses his tag title belt to the hardy's. Hmm well yes I guess they had to do this as well because no matter how much the WWF seems to love TEST right now, I can't imagine that they'd have him in two title matches on Sunday. Ok both of these matches make sense to set up sunday, but both feel forced. They feel this way because they are. It's overall poor planning and writing by the WWF. Weird ass promo with Chavo and Hugh Morris asking Vince to join the WWF. Like, these guys? ok. Then head to a squash match where Stone Cold beats Tazz's ass... again. Shane comes through to put Austin in his place. I'm sure that's gonna go well for Shane, right? Next is a montage/music video/cross promotion for Creed. Yeah the music group Creed. Apparently the Undertaker is a huge fan? Weird match with Albert/Scotty2hotty vs Dudleys. I don't know if this was a real match or not. It lasted 2 seconds. I'm saying this is a weird match as the Dudley's have been main eventers forever and putting them in a match against two rando singles guys, a week before this PPV, and have it be like a 5 second match.. not sure what's going on here. RVD vs Undertaker turns into another Undertaker handicap match, as Booker T comes in about halfway through the match to help out. This match was actually pretty fun overall. I still enjoy RVD re-shaping what it means to have a hardcore match. It no longer is shopping carts, baking pans, backstage bullshit, and concession stand food. It's basically just ECW rules, and RVD is really good at it. In this match, he climbs the Titan Tron for a spot on Undertaker. It's just that it allows him to do cool shit, and I think it's cool. After a strange vince/rock backstage confrontation, Mick Foley shows up with a clipboard and starts talking about the same shit I've been talking about for the last couple of months... basically that it's ridiculous how the belts mean nothing anymore. oh and YES he's OFFICIALLY talking about belt consolidation. OK here we go, this is what I've been fucking BEGGING for, for FOREVER. Also we get two official matches for the PPV. Finally. Well, I can say this. THANK YOU for saying something and making the wrongs right. It was obvious that you have been making a mockery of the belts. But that begs the question, WHY WERE YOU DOING THAT? It's good to know they're aware of it and will be putting an end to it. They show Edge on stage at a Rob Zombie concert, and they play the entire song. At points during this show, JR does start mentioning the other thing I've been complaining about which is explaining what is at stake on Sunday. Apparently it's the 10 man single elimination matchup, and the side who wins that single match will determine who remains employed. Big show is taking Angle's place. Ok, it's all set up. Now, I don't know how that would work if the Alliance ends up winning the unified tag belts but then the 10 man matchup is won by WWF. I guess they'll sort this out? I have no clue. In summary, they did finally explain the point of survivor series this year and what the stipulations are and which match will determine their fate. They finally worked it out lol. THANKS. The "main event" is rock vs regal, which leads to a promo where the rock calls out stone cold. This is an amazing promo, which is about 20-25 minutes long, where the WWF FINALLY makes me hyped to watch the ppv, especially Rock Vs Stone cold, with the loser's team being out of a job. The Rock and Austin have an intense meetup in the ring and show the world why they're the two wrestling GOATS. It's well acted, nobody forgetting their lines, both guys delivering some songs, and laughing, stealing each other's tags lines, and somehow with all of that, keeping it super intense the whole time. Only these two guys can do this. The only thing that would have made this better is if the WWF took this seriously the past month, because if you are really convinced that either the Rock or Austin will be out of a job this time next week, then this interaction means that much more. The Rock ends up rock bottoming Austin, Angle comes in to help, Jericho runs into help the Rock, but then there's this staredown between the rock and jericho. OK I'm hyped up now, we're good. Bad ass ending to raw, although the worst part is the crowd going crazy with "WHAT", which ends up being the end of stone cold's ability to give intense promos, for the rest of his life. But this was definitely the best 20 minutes of anything the WWF has done in months. I hope they don't fuck this up. Rating this high as they're moving in the right direction and the end promo was great."

[9.0] "Brilliant episode, it has perfect structure with forming teams for suvrivor series and I mean Teams cause now it's really looks like. Typical action for that time but I'm good with that. Foley has the point in his promo, two title changes proved it. Final segment, damn, it's pure fun, I laughed through the whole segment."

[4.0] "Pretty lackluster go home show for the survivor series but the last two segments most definitely delivered. They had to do two more title changes so Mick Foley could set up unification matches between the WWF and the Alliance. Edge/Angle was fine, Taker/RVD started well and had some really good spots but the 2nd half was a handicap match and it wasn't any fun. Foley cut a good promo on how there were too many belts in the WWF making all of them mean less. The last segment was really good between Rock and Austin which ended with Rock giving Austin a Rock Bottom, Angle came to Austin's aid but Jericho actually saved Rock and didn't attack him."
