[6.0] "While the inclusion of ECW in the Invasion angle was cool, this is was where the Invasion angle really fell off the rails. Instead of a much interesting three-way war between the WWF, WCW, and ECW, the wrestlers of WCW and ECW was combined into this super group and it was revealed that Stephanie McMahon was the new owner of ECW. This episode felt like course correction after the abysmal episode the previous week in Tacoma but this just diluted the Invasion storyline into more McMahon melodrama. This episode was WWE cramming months of storytelling into a single episode of Raw and it was exciting for the moment, but hindsight doesn't reflect fondly on this show."

[5.0] "This show doesn't deserve the high ratings others are giving. I think people are judging this based on its historical significance... but watch the show and hear how dead the fucking crowd was. And they were dead because these supposedly huge moments just weren't that huge. Yeah, they seem huge now, knowing the history of WWF -> WWE and everything, but on that night, this didn't feel as big of a deal as Vince and them wanted it to feel. All of the surprises were basically just "haha i fooled you" moments. They were able to fool Vince (and us) because the shit just didn't make sense. Of course nobody expected this because it was so out of left field and nonsensical. Oh, and Stephanie owns ECW? WTF lol oh well another TV show in the last 3 weeks with no real main event. I'm going to give this 5 points though because they actually did go through with a few things that I've been begging for. First, they had Kurt Angle against Booker T for the WCW belt, which is great because finally something regarding the WCW belt actually makes sense. Although, it was ridiculous to have Booker T defend the title basically 3 shows in a row, but at least this time it's against someone who actually could be a decent champ. Then they finally brought mike awesome back... not that I'm a huge fan of his (I'm not) but it was weird that he won the hardcore belt and then completely vanished. I also appreciated that the WCW title match was done with WWF announcers and the WWF logos. Oh yeah, I thought the previous episode where the refs were fighting each other was pretty funny and it was nice to see this sorta pay off during the WCW Title match with all of the different ref shenanigans going on. Would have been nice to see stone cold in the ring again instead of just being a backstage clown. The wrestling wasn't great really. Undertaker vs DDP ended up being a joke. 20 man tag never happened. Big Show match was like a minute long. Kane and Jericho match never finished. APA getting the tag titles is just strange at this point. lol oh yeah and ALBERT still has the IC belt wtf. Without the historical significance of the major storyline swerves, and RVD's WWF debut, this would be a skippable show."

[8.0] "Pretty big moments happened on this episode; one of them being the ECW guys that left for WWF coming together as a massive unit was a sick visual. Another was the moment WCW and ECW merged to form the Alliance. I can only imagine how the rest of this whole story went."

[9.0] "After one of the most disastrous episodes of Raw the previous week and the original plan of a WCW revival was dead on arrival, the Invasion angle hit full reset here with a memorable ECW Invasion where a few ECW stars and several WWE stars who came from ECW originally defected. Shane McMahon finally turned heel and that's the direction for several weeks. It's a historic episode for the sheer shock value as well as for the debut of guys like Rob Van Dam and Tommy Dreamer with WCW obviously lacking most of their stars. They were certainly an upgrade to the Invasion storyline and Paul Heyman evolving from WWE's colour commentator to one of the biggest heels in the company was awesome, and the Invasion being taken to the EXTREME is one of my all time favourite segments. I wasn't to crazy about Stephanie McMahon being the new ECW owner at the end of the show after the announcement of the WCW merger, but for the most part this is an iconic episode of Raw."

[8.0] "This might have been the best, the invasion angle has ever looked with the inclusion of ECW joining forces with WCW, with Stephanie and Heyman being involved as well. Also Stone Cold and Kurt Angle were great backstage again as usual."
