Aside from the Lawler-Idol bout, which is undoubtedly one of the greatest cage bouts of all time, there's also a pretty good card here. An appearance from Rocky Johnson, a No D. Q. bout between Paul Diamond and Billy Joe Travis, and the Co-Main event featured another Steel Cage Match between Jeff Jarrett and Pat Tanaka. All in all, a pretty good show. A 9. |

The build up to the hair vs hair encounter was a slow burn that built over the past year until only a cage could contain the action. Idol played the coward well and Jerry was, of course, the hero the crowed stood behind. The Tommy Rich run in and the dust spot were great. By the end of it Jerry was absolutely brutalized and humiliated post match. The fans were so pissed off about the finish they became riotous. **** |
