Der zitiert kurz aus seinem Weltverbesserer-Programm und beendet dann den Dance Break. Passende Eröffnung. Ali und Almas eröffnen mit In-Ring-Action und können hier viel mehr zeigen, aber auch so hat das seine Momente. Joe spricht sich schon mal warm für sein Match mit Jeff. Die Tag-Division wurde neu sortiert. Das fühlt sich bis auf die sinnentleerten Kommentare von New Day dann auch recht frisch an. Die Call Up-Vignetten könnte die WWE mal überarbeiten, aber dennoch eine gute Sache. Ali wird backstage von Kendrick, Tozawa und Alexander beglückwünscht und von Shelton Benjamin bei Smackdown begrüßt. Nur Bryan hat auch damit ein Problem. Das Angle um Miz und Shane nervt mich jetzt schon gewaltig. Ich hoffe, sie streiten sich bevor sie ernsthaft in die Tag-Division eingreifen können. Das ist wirklich lahm und uninteressant, wenn es Miz nicht als Aufbau für das Main Event taugt, aber da fehlt mir noch die Fantasie. Rusev und Shin kommentieren ihr Match auch noch kurz backstage. Joe und Hardy machen das solide bevor Jeff seine Contenance verliert. Das Nachspiel ist standesgemäß. Ordentlicher Auszug aus der Fehde. Ob so eine Eifersuchtsstory den Damen hilft, weiß ich nicht, aber kleinere Stories helfen in jedem Fall. Wenn die WWE nun alles korrigieren möchte, was sie über das Jahr falsch gemacht hat, spricht man Joe noch die WWE Championship zu. Rusev Day ist zwar nun eigentlich schon ein paar Tage her, aber vielleicht nutzt es ja beiden Workern. Sie bekommen viel Matchzeit und können dies halbwegs ordentlich nutzen. Fühlt sich fast zu lang an, dafür dass sie beim typischen TV-Pacing bleiben. Der Abschluss der Show gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut. Vince ist sich dafür nicht zu schade und AJ kann es nur helfen, ohne Titel eine Story zu finden. |

| 10 | 26.12.2018 | Smi-48 | 5.0 | DB ist ein gemeiner kleiner Elf und ruiniert die Weihnachtsfeier von Truth & Carmella. Mustafa Ali benötigt zwar Rückenwind bei seinem Start im blauen Brand, aber Almas hat sich selbst noch nicht frei geschwommen. Von daher sind Konstellation und Ergebnis zumindest fragwürdig. Auch das Tag-Match geht an die Faces, wer hätte das gedacht? Im Miz-TV schmeisst sich der Gastgeber mal wieder massiv an den Junior-Chef ran. Hier mal was Neues - mit Joe gewinnt ein Heel, der einzige diese Woche in den beiden Hauptshows. Das Match ist nicht toll, aber intensiv. Warum der einzige? Weil am Ende sogar Rusev den US-Gürtel von Nakamura gewinnen kann, was nicht ganz so schlimm ist, weil die Writer mit der Regentschaft des Japaners kein Stück anzufangen wussten. Das Beste dieser so zahmen Show sind ann aber die letzten zwei Minuten, als Vince AJ Styles so weit provoziert, bis der ihm eine runterhaut. Ansonsten - naja, ist wohl in Ordnung. |

One of the best episode of the year in my opinion (leaving the suspence of what will coming the next weeks on). First of all Daniel Bryan and R-Truth segment has been good, I love this "New Daniel Bryan" stuff, his way to be a "Grinch" of WWE that ruins happines and does the moral code on others about how bad earth is reduced (I can not take out of my mind the fact that Behind WWE there is some "Illumintati" Stuff because the gimmicks perpetrayed explains some of Nowdays great wounds). Also fantastic the match between Ali and Cien , I love the fact they are injecting new breed in the roster. FANTASTIC the Miz' s promo on Miz TV, personally it will become my favorite Miz TV episode ever. The promo about his father, the reminder about WrestleMania XXVII (I hate the fact that sometimes wwe "delete" the past never mentioning what happened years ago) an I love te fact they are now teaming up togheter to match the "Best in the World " Tag Team domination. Good Jeff vs Joe, good backstage promo from joe ... obviously it's not the final chapter of the saga. Rusev vs Nakamura is one of the best matches of this year at Smackdown (togheter with the ones between AJ Styles and Bryan and few others), great finish , great false finishers and great way to end the smackdown's year. I am a little bit upset for the fact Shinsuke never had the possibility to make is US title reing Great because most of the time he was in the undercard or even not mentioned in the show. I stil think that he is one of the best workers in Smackdown and personally I enjoied more this bout than the one between AJ and Bryan at TLC (that meltzer gave on a 4 3/4 stars for no reason at all in my opinion). | 12 | 26.12.2018 | BLooD | 5.0 | Durchschnittliche Ausgabe von SmackDown. Das Anfangssegment war nichts besonderes. Wie auch bei RAW mit Strowman und Heyman braucht man nicht viel erwarten bei diesem Weihnachtssegment mit R-Truth und Bryan. Bryan attackiert R-Truth nach dem Dance Break. Der Opener war in Ordnung. Mich freut es für Ali der nun bei SmackDown sein neues Zuhause gefunden hat. Mit Bryan hat er sich schonmal einen neuen Feind gemacht. Das Eight Man Tag-Team Match war schlecht. Leider ziemlich kurz. Immerhin darf der Club den Pin holen. Ein echt schönes MizTV Segment mit Shane welcher nun zusagt mit Miz ein Team zu bilden. Jeff Hardy vs Samoa Joe war schlecht. Eigentlich ein geglaubter Sieg für Jeff Hardy welches er irgendwie durch sein DQ außerhalb des Rings zerstört. Sinnfreie Aktion. Der Main-Event war gut. Ein wunderbares Weihnachtsgeschenk das Nakamura endlich den US Titel los ist. Am Ende will Vince zu einem aggressiveren AJ Styles umformen. Er schlägt Vince dann nieder. |
