[6.0] "An above average show, but I expected more given the match-ups and the fact that this was the Global League Final. The A-block decision match was pretty good for its short time. Sato, Nakajima, and Kenou all tore each other up with stiff kicks in that short period. ***. The next 3 matches were all pretty bland; the usual NOAH undercard affair. Harada stood out in his match, and Morohashi impressed me for the first time in ever. Hall and Higuchi had decent interactions in their match as well. All matches were about **1/4 - **1/2. Saito & Sugiura vs Kotoge & Sugiura was pretty good. Kotoge's comedy 'revolutionary' gimmick is entertaining, and his high-flying is still good, but I miss him being stiff as hell. Sugiura and Shiozaki had some beastly exchanges. Saito impressed with his technique and strikes every time he tagged in. ***1/4. Minoru & Hi69 vs Yamato & Kanemoto was another pretty good match. Nice throwback having Kanemoto and Minoru go at it. They both showed off slick techniques similar in skill to 20 years ago. Nice focus on Yamato's arm, even if he didn't sell it consistently. Good run-on sequences in the second half. ***1/4. Kotaro vs Tadasuke had an average start, due to Tadasuke's over-the-top high-pitched selling. Luckily Tadasuke eventually impressed with his strong energy and strikes. He got quite a lot of compelling near falls. Kotaro was great all-around as always. I loved all his Misawa-tribute elbows. Match should have been more strike and exchange heavy, but was still quite good. ***1/4-***1/2. Kiyomiya vs Nakajima was a pretty good match but disappointing as a tournament final. Nakajima destroyed Kiyomiya for 80% of the match with sick kicks, and although Kiyomiya sold extremely well and displayed very impressive offence when given the chance, his comeback at the end felt very forced and rushed, which was pretty disappointing. At least I'm excited to see where Kiyomiya goes from here on. ***1/4-***1/2"
