322.10.2024Ruthless Attitude7.0Good episode of SmackDown, but not nearly as strong as the last episode of Raw! The match quality was relatively solid, but nothing blowaway with Triple H booking five matches in the fall out to that great 10 man tag match that happened on Raw and most of that was solid with Saturn vs GMS, Malenko vs Scotty and Rock/Cactus vs New Age Outlaws being decent. The Dudleys feigning an injury just to finally put BB through a table was just an outrageously fun heel moment and Kurt Angle also deservedly won his first belt when he won the European Title from Val Venis and Kane giving Tori the Tombstone was an awesome finish to the show.

520.06.2024thedaynos6.0Nothing here that will make me ever want to watch this specific episode again. This was more of the same of the previous weeks. It moved a lot of the angles along nicely and consistently, but no plot twists and no major matches that made me say that I was glad I watched this episode. I guess that's typical though for smackdown. Bubba faking his injury was awesome. Love the concept that WWF was trying to get across at the time about how dangerous and life threatening it was to go through a table. One thing I never thought back in the day, but I'm definitely feeling now during re-watching this era, is that the new age outlaws had way too much screen time. I know Mr Ass won king of the ring and they really tried to make him a thing, but I just never saw him as talented enough in ring or on the mic to warrant all the exposure. And Road Dogg is and always has been a mid carder with nothing special but his mic skills. I say all of this because seeing them in a close match against Rock and Sock is pretty insane to me. Rock and Mankind have held the titles quite a bit for the previous 2 years, while Mr Ass and Road Dogg never even sniffed it.. yet they're able to hold their own, semi-fairly, against these two? And they've held the tag title for forever, it seems like. Props to WWF though as the crowd was hot for this match, so they knew what they were doing at the time. And they've given the other tag teams other plots to fight about. Just seems like the tag titles have become somewhat of an afterthought at this point. Kurt angle winning the european title was cool. I like how they're also keeping him on his own story arc at this point, not intersecting too much with the major storylines. Same with Jericho. Letting all of these mini stories build up. Smart move.

Gute Road To WrestleMania bis dahin.

1025.09.2023CMFunk0075.0The Rawws and Smackdowns of this time suffer from the same thing: overexposure. Everyone on the roster was overexposed to the point where I can barely watch them anymore. Dx, Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boys, The Dudleys....all of them, I'm sick of watching at this point, but I do know it gets easier as the year goes on...
1108.03.2023kewf19888.0This was another strong episode, and similar and opposite to last week at the same time, as this was all about the Radicalz, but establishing them as heels in this episode. The mixed tag and handicap match were the only low points.
1205.07.2022flightaker3215.0This was a ok show. I didn't really outright like anything besides the Dudley's faking an injury in order to take out the medic because he couldn't do it the previous week on Raw. That was downright one of the funniest things I've seen
1315.05.2022Mudshow Idol4.0This was a real slog to get through. Endless Sunday Night Heat/Metal level matches, with a complete absence of in ring promos and no major storyline advancement whatsoever. Angle winning the Euro title was the only thing that stuck with me after finishing up with this episode.
