This show was full of Russo trash especially the main event. The six way is the most confusing match I've ever watched. So everyone has to tag in even tho there's no DQ. The people in the match are confused at various times. Also why would you ever tag out of the match? That means you can't win. Sometimes people would just come in the ring with no tag. Also why would Austin count the pinfall for Triple H? Doesn't he despise him? Without any rules it's just random stuff happening. Pure Russo trash"
[6.0] "Not the best show I've ever at through, but also not the worst. If it wasn't for the main event, it might have been a contender for the worst, but the six-pack challenge saved it from obscurity."
[4.0] "Unforgiven: Die Referees streiken noch. Trotz der Niederlage gegen Venis kann Blackman am Ende seinen Kontrahenten noch mal ordentlich eine Abreibung mitgeben, ehe er sein Eigentum wieder an sich nimmt. Interessant ist die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Sicherheitsmann, der Blackman von den Beinen holt. Mit einem Vorwand versucht Henry sich vor dem Match gegen D'Lo zu drücken, der seinen European-Titel zurückgewinnen kann. Backstage wird von diversen Wrestlern auf Chaz eingeprügelt. Chyna gelingt es zunächst, Jarrett mit unfairen Mitteln zu besiegen, jedoch kommt Prichard nach dem Match raus und ändert das Ergebnis zu Gunsten Jarretts, der nun per DQ gewonnen hat und den Titel vorerst behalten darf. Die Acolytes besiegen die Dudleys aufgrund des Eingreifens von Steven Richards, der lustigerweise wie ein Acolyte verkleidet war. Das Hardcore-Match zwischen Ivory und Luna beginnt direkt auf dem Weg zum Ring, sie verlassen den Backstage-Bereich also gar nicht erst. Trotz des Eingreifens von Tori kann Ivory den Titel verteidigen. Angeblich sei das Tag-Match erst seit Heat angesetzt, was Unfug ist, da E&C sich schon vor Wochen das Recht auf das Titel-Match verdient haben. The New Brood greift gegen Edge und Christian ein, was Mr. Ass für die Titelverteidigung zu nutzen weiß. Das Hardcore-Titel-Match ist eine Vollkatastrophe. Die Hunde an den Leinen lassen es noch lächerlicher erscheinen, als ohnehin schon ist. Die Story um Pepper war ekelhaft und das Ende dieser Fehde ziemlich peinlich. Nachdem das Match zwischen Shamrock wochenlang mit sehr vielen unterschiedlichen Segmenten aufgebaut wurde, ersetzt X-Pac diesen einfach. Hughes sorgte für eine Disqualifikation, der Road Dogg kommt X-Pac zu Hilfe. Im Main Event greifen die streikenden Referees ein, die von Austin aus dem Weg geräumt werden. Er übernimmt die Aufgabe des Ringrichters und zählt am Ende für Triple H den 3-Count. Es gab irgendwie kein gutes Match, das sauber endete. Auch wenn das für die damalige Zeit normal war, ist das doch etwas enttäuschend."
[5.0] "I wanted to like this show more, and there were some matches I felt were underrated (Jericho/Pac, D-Lo/Henry, and Snow/Bossman). But the pacing was completely off and the crowd was dead for most of the show because of it. The opener makes no sense, as Blackman/Venis lacked both the heat and the energy to fire the crowd up. Jericho/X-Pac should have opened. Snow/Bossman was a decent match hidden behind one too many cages and a confusing set of rules. A cage or a cell match would have gone over better. And both tag matches were underwhelming for those involved. The main event is full of stars and there's plenty of heat here, but the tag rules are convuluted. It should have been an elimination match. And yet it's still the best match of the night. Lots of interference throughout the night too. TBH, I enjoyed the Smackdown that preceded this event more than the PPV itself. That was a common theme by this point in the AE: great TV shows but underwhelming PPVs."
[7.0] "In a long line of mediocre 1999 PPVs, this one stood out to me. None of the matches were offensively bad besides the dog kennel match, which was so absurd that the quality didn't matter. Both tag matches were enjoyable, D-Lo winning the belt was a good moment, and X-Pac and Jericho had a solid match as well. The main event was a mess but in a good way, making the show an overall positive in my book."
[3.0] "Folks, here we have a true one match card. This show is bad. Very bad. Most of the matches aren't unwatchable, but they're typical and uninspired. The main event is fantastic, and the one match worth watching. The only other reason to watch this show besides the main event is if you wanted to see Jericho and/or the Dudleys first PPV match in the company, because they both happen to be here. Other than that, don't watch this one."
[5.0] "This PPV was a bit all over the place. It's not necessarily an awful show because it had a good main event and you had a few solid matches in the undercard like E&C vs Outlaws, Jarrett vs Chyna because of the storyline, D'Lo vs Henry was alright and Jericho vs X-Pac was disappointing, but the wrestling was solid. Unfortunately this show is remembered for one of the very worst PPV matches ever with the disastrous Kennel from Hell and that match is so bad it kinda has to be seen to believed as absolutely nothing about it worked."
[4.0] "After one good PPV, we go back to dullness. Val Venis vs. Steve Blackman is odd as an opener. Nothing really happens, it felt like a Sunday Night Heat bout (3/10) The European Title match is average. D'lo does a lot of good wrestling and there weren't shenanigas, but Henry still was too green (5/10) The IC title match has Jarrett trying his best to wrestle a good match despite Chyna's shortcomings. There's too many shenanigans that detract from it too, specially Moolah and Young (4/10) The Acolytes vs. The Dudleys is just a dull brawl with not much heat. Stevie Richards interfering was the best part (4/10) Luna vs. Ivory was a throaway garbage brawl that was too short to be anything (3/10) Tag title mathc is very average . Billy is right back to his old gimmick and we've forgotten about the outlaws feuding so nothing interesting there. The New Brood interferes at the end to cost E&C (5/10) The Kennel from Hell the worst gimmick match concept WWF had. The wrestling itself its so dull that it doesn't help (0/10) Jericho's promo about saving the crowd from the boring show was meant to draw heat, but he wasn't wrong. His match with X-Pac is the first thing thats not dull or awful. Even with the DQ finish defalting it (6/10) The main event would've made way more sense as an elmination match. Everyone tagging in and out made it pretty slow and the early parts felt off. Its still the best thing on the show. It picks up slightly as it goes on but not to a great level (6/10)"
[4.0] "It wasn't as unwatchable as some of the other Attitude Era PPVs, but it still wasn't an easy watch. D-Lo and Mark had a pretty good grudge match, Outlaws vs Edge & Christian was a decent Tag Team Match and the main event had a star power going for it with nicely presented dynamics between all of the workers. Everything else was just meh. Venis vs Blackman was nothing special, Jarrett and Chyna had a confusing match in terms of the rules applied, Ivory vs Luna was barely a contest, Jericho vs X-Pac was fine, but with the crowd that didn't care at all and Kennel from Hell Match was an impressive disaster with one of the dumbest stipulations I have ever witnessed. I'm glad that there was almost no brawling, especially when compared to previous shows, but there was still some awful stuff included."
[4.0] "This show was sucking pretty hard up until Jericho and Pac came out and did something worth a damn! Main event was fun but the finish was kinda weak. The last two matches pull this sucker up into the lower mediocre range."
[3.0] "Three decent but not spectacular matches, one legendarily bad one, and a whole bunch of nonsense, which was pretty much par for the course for this era. The constant interference in matches made it hard to care about anything even when the action was good."
[3.0] "This PPV was pretty bad outside of the 6 pack challenge, and even that rules wise made no sense. On the undercard there were only two matches I'd consider decent: Jarrett/Chyna, and that has some weird swerve at the end, and the tag title match. The kennel from hell match was abysmal and just downright rough. X-Pac Jericho was a disappointment given the talent involved and the amount of time they had DQ finish aside."
[3.0] "Craptacular gimmick-infested show with a handful of decent lowercard matches and trash in-between. [1st match] Okay opener, crowd was completely dead despite Blackman trying his hardest to generate some heat. ** [2nd match] Oddly enjoyable match with Mark Henry displaying a vast moveset that I didn't realize he had at one point. ***1/4 [3rd match] Probably the best match they had in their series but still chaotic. *** [4th match] This match wasn't even listed on the back of my VHS tape. So basically a Slobber Knocker (because they call it that repeatedly that it sounds like an actual matchtype) is a very dull, no heat drawing, no-DQ Tag match ...ok then. *3/4 [5th match] Forgetful brawl even with the Women. Cool spot with Luna diving off the Forklift though. Makes this Women's title (even more) worthless with it being competed for in a Hardcore match. DUD [6th match] Standard Tag match, made E&C strong though. **3/4 [7th match] Bad spectacle. Al & Bossman try to liven things up with weapons, but we've seen this a few times tonight already. -**** [8th match] Fans were really distracted by something in the crowd, which also distracted me. Had cool moments but also a lame finish. ** [Main] Nice seeing Bulldog in a main event again, but this was pure chaos. Hard to get invested when realistically there's only 2 people that can win at any time... and they can simply Tag out. I can see clearly why this matchtype was shelved for many years, it just wasn't good. For sure one of the worst WWF PPVs of this time."
[8.0] "Ja ich gebe 8 Punkte weil ich gut unterhalten wurde. Außer dem Kennel From Hell Match (*3/4) war für mich nix schlechtes dabei. WWF European Title Match und das WWF World Women's Title Hardcore Match fand ich nur ansehnlich (**). Den Rest solide bis auf die beiden letzten Matches welches gut Co Main Event (***) und stark das Main Event war (***1/2), wodurch ich die 8 Punkte gebe. Weil einige Refs gestreikt haben mussten: Tom Prichard, Harvey W. und der Brookly Brawler als Refs arbeiten."
[3.0] "The main event prevents this from being one of the most boring shows the WWF/E has ever held, as outside of that match, there really isn't a lot here to go out of your way and see. X-Pac vs Jericho was the other thing on this show that was okay, although that was held back by the crowd and an anticlimactic finish. The Kennel from Hell match is also worth a watch, just to see one of the worst matches to ever take place."
[4.0] "Ziemlich lahmer Pay-Per-View, viele Matches waren nicht schlecht aber auch nicht wirklich gut, mit dem Big Bossman gegen Al Snow war ein ziemliches Schrottmatch dabei, die Stipulation machte irgendwie null Sinn, die Umsetzung war schlecht und zwischendrin herrschte fast Totenstille in der Halle. Immerhin gab es hier ein Wiedersehen mit dem alten blauen WWF-Käfig. Jericho gegen X-Pac hat irgendwie auch nicht gepasst, der stimmungsvolle Main Event stimmte zum Ende etwas versöhnlich."
[6.0] "A solid Attitude era PPV. Undercard is almost decent (not that bad for 1999). Jericho vs Pac is the best match on it, tag titles match and Chyna vs Jarrett are pretty good. Some other matches were pretty okay. Bossman vs Snow is absolutely horrific of course. Probably the worst wrestling match I ever seen. Even the dogs weren't really used so what's the point of it? Main event is not one of the greatest matches of that time but it's still a very entertaining brawl. However for me it felt simply like a part of build-up for HHH vs Stone Cold at No Mercy."
[4.0] "Take that main event out and you have a catastrophic show on your hands. A filler match for an opener, matches filled with crap endings, the goddamn KENNEL FROM HELL trainwreck, this show has it all. Only three matches I'd consider good on this show are the main event (obviously, look at that star power), Jarrett/Chyna and the Tag title match, but even those last two have crap endings: Jarrett/Chyna because of some reverse decision (that admittedly makes sense but it happens so rarely that it's annoying when it does) and the tag title match with the Hardys interfering (that admittedly leads into that ladder match at No Mercy, but still you get the picture). Everything else here ranges from fine to boring to absolute dogsh*t (ha) with the Kennel From Hell. It takes 3 minutes for the first bump to happen and then 8 minutes of boring weapon shots, weak selling and Bossman trying to cut a hole in the ceiling all to the sound of absolute crickets and the occasional dog bark. The dogs are on leashes anyway, what threat actually are they? If you HAVE to watch something on this show, watch the main event and nothing else, but if you like the occasional good New Age Outlaws match, watch that one too."
[4.0] "Der Main Event ist ein sehr gelungenes Match - leider auch das einzige Match dieser Show, welches sich dieses Prädikat verdient. Bis auf den Opener sowie das absurde Kennel from Hell Match ist immerhin auch kein wirklich schlechtes Match dabei, während ein wirklicher Kracher leider auch fehlt. Die Geschichte mit den streikenden Referees ist dagegen ganz nett gemacht. Dennoch insgesamt wahrlich kein berauschender Pay-Per-View."
[4.0] "Der PPV hat vielleicht eines der besten Intro-/Hype-Videos der Attitude-Ära, was dann auch das Beste an der Veranstaltung ist. Der Rest ist größtenteils belanglos von der Matchqualität her, auch wenn das Ganze beim Publikum scheinbar ziemlich gut ankam. Zeigt einmal mehr, dass zu dieser Zeit dem WWF-Publikum das eigentliche Wrestling recht egal war, die Stories aber funktioniert haben. Das sieht aus heutiger Perspektive natürlich etwas anders aus, da die Veranstaltungen doch mehr schlecht als recht altern. Dementsprechend reicht es eigentlich auch, wenn man sich aus Kuriositätsgründen das vollkommen fehlgeschlagene Kennel from Hell-Match sowie den Main Event anschaut. Der bescheurtste Moment der Veranstaltung geschah meiner Meinung nach übrigens im Backstagebereich, als mehrere Wrestler auf Chaz losgingen, weil er angeblich seine Freundin geschlagen hatte. Genau 5 Sekunden später greift dann Jeff Jarrett tatsächlich und vor laufenden Kameras eine Frau an und niemanden interessiert es. Russo-Logik..."
[3.0] "This PPV is some peak Russo Shit. We've got an absurd kennel cell match which features folks with dogs on leases paroling the outside of the cage within a cage. The dogs never do anything. Xpac/Jericho should have been dope AF yet there is either a flashing or a fight in the crowd that distracts then a bs finish. The woman have a garage match that lasts about 5 min. Two of the most over tag teams of all time have a boring match. The main event is solid but unremarkable. Just watch the hype package for the main and the main and you're good on this one."
[5.0] "The main event is almost worth the show, because some matches are disappointing. Chris Jericho vs X-Pac is one of them, it was hyped but it did not deliver. Al Snow vs Big Bossman is the abysmal Kennels match with the dogs (that never got used), then there is Jeff Jarrett vs Chyna which is almost watchable thanks to the story. The tag team match for the titles is good, the main event is highly enjoyable. Not good but passable at least."
[5.0] "1. Der Opener war im Gegensatz zu den vorherigen PPVs wieder schwächer. Unglaublich wie Tief Blackman seit dem KotR gesunken ist. (2*) 2. D`Lo gegen Henry war nicht gut. (1*) 3. JJ gegen Chyna war okay. Wenigstens hat man den Titelgewinn Chynas noch hinausgezögert. (2 1/2*) 4. Acolytes gegen Dudleys war nichts besonderes. (1 3/4*) 5. Ivory gegen Luna war schwach. Wie ein Hardcore Match bei den Damen ausschauen sollte, würde wir erst in ein paar Jahren sehen. (1*) 6. NAO gegen Edge & Christian war gut. (3*) 7. Nun folgte das wahrscheinlich schlechteste HiaC Match. Da helfen auch keine Bladejobs der beiden. Das Match war Schrott. (-**) 8. X-Pac gegen Jericho hatte großes Potential. Es gab auch einiges zu sehen. Aber das Finish zieht das Match gewaltig hinunter. (3*) 9. ME siehe Guide."

[4.0] "Opener war ziemlich unspektakulär und gerade das Finish sehr einfallslos (*1/4), D´lo und Henry zeigen ein überraschend solides Match. Dauert zwar nicht lang, aber in der kurzen Zeit zeigen sie sehr ausreichende Action (*3/4), Chyna vs Jarrett hat mir überhaupt nicht gefallen. Das Match war sehr öde und schadete Jarrett unheimlich. Finish war mir zudem overbookt (*), Acolytes vs Dudleyz war recht ordentlich, aber die Crowd reagierte wirklich kaum bis überhaupt nicht. Finish wie die meisten an diesem Abend erfolgt durch einen Eingriff (**), Womens Title Match war grauenhaft, aber Luna Splash war schon recht cool (1/4*), Tag Titles Match ein Tick besser als das erste Tag Match, aber auch hier kaum Reaktionen von der Crowd (**1/4). Kennel from Hell ist absoluter Wrestlecrap (DUD), Y2J vs X-Pac geht in Ordnung bis zum Finish. Abssolut einfallslos und schadet dem ansonsten gutem Match (**3/4). Main Event siehe Matchguide (***1/2). Main Event rettet die Show vor absolutem Absturz. Bis zum Main Event gibt es nichts wirklich herausragendes oder gar sehenswertes."
[3.0] "Der Main Event war gut, der Rest davor nicht direkt schlecht, aber teilweise wirkte alles zu belanglos oder es wurde durch ein Finish runtergezogen (X-Pac/Jericho). Ach, zwei Ausnahmen gab es doch noch in der Undercard: Das lachhafte Kennel from hell und das Hardcore Match der Damen. Beides unterste Kanone. Da kann auch der Main Event nichts mehr retten."

[4.0] "Ein schwaches Ausreichend für den Event, der nur ein starkes Match aufzuweisen hat. Dieses lag im Main Event, was bei diesem Staraufgebot jedoch auch nicht verwunderlich ist. Den Rest der Card kann man getrost vergessen. Während das Tag Team Championship Match sowie das Match zwischen Chris Jericho & X-Pac noch ganz passabel waren, erreicht der Rest nur durch Mühe - wenn überhaupt - **. Negativer Höhepunkt dürfte das Kennel from Hell Match sein. Aber auch die übrigen Matches tragen zu der schlechten Gesamtnote bei."
[6.0] "Lange nicht so bedeutungslos wie von vielen verstanden - der Opener war belanglos aber gut dargeboten, D-Lo bekam seine 'Rache', Jarrett lässt sich dazu herab, Chyna als Singles-Wrestler over zu bringen, die Acolytes führen die Dudleys in die harte Welt der WWF ein, die reformierten Outlaws stellen sich den immer ernster zu nehmenden E&C und Jericho entlockt Waltmann bis zum verbookten Finish eine mehr als ansehnliche Partie. Vergessenswert und über wie ein Reifen am Pferd ist das Hardcore-Damenmatch und das endlos overhypte und masslos entäuschende "Kennel From Hell" - man merke: ein Käfig und zwei Bladejobs machen noch lange kein gutes Match. Der MainEvent war durchaus ein Hingucker - der fast schon unanständig bejubelte Rock und Triple H legen unter Zuhilfenahme aller würzenden Zutaten (Wrestler, Enforcer und Referees) eine technisch nicht überzeugende, jedoch trotzdem mitreissende Partie aufs Parkett. Unterm Strich bleibt ein ansehnlicher PPV ohne historische Stärken oder Schwächen."
[3.0] "4 Punkte bedeutet ausreichend, was hier in meinen Augen nicht mehr der Fall war. Einzig der Main Event war überzeugend, ansonsten pure Langeweile und völlig uninteressante Matches. Hinzu kommt, dass die Card mit 9 Matches, die sich gegenseitig in Unwichtigkeit überboten, etwas überfüllt wirkt. Vielleicht hätte man dem ein oder anderen Match mit Potenzial (z. B. Co-Main-Event) dafür eher etwas mehr Zeit einräumen sollen, um den Focus nicht ausschließlich auf den Main Event zu richten."
[4.0] "Konnte ich gar nichts mit anfangen. Kein gutes Match und der Trash-Höhepunkte mit dem Kennel from Hell Match. Der Main Event war ganz ok, doch das wars auch schon"
[4.0] "Der Main Event war das einzige Match mit Relevanz und zum Glück auch sehr unterhaltsam, doch der Rest der Show musste stark unter diesem Ungleichgewicht bei der Fokussierung leiden. Schade eigentlich, zumindest der Co-Main Event hätte mit ein bisschen mehr Zeit und einem klaren Finish auch noch einige Jahre später im Gedächtnis bleiben können."
[8.0] "Alles lastete auf den Schultern des Main Events und dessen Six Pack Challenge. Im Prinzip genügte es, sich nur das Hauptmatch anzusehen, der Rest ist nur bei äußerster Langeweile zu empfehlen. Das Womens Title Match sowie ganz besonders das Boss Man vs Snow Match waren gebookter Crap, alles andere ist nicht erwähnenswert. Der ME entschädigte aber für vieles!"
