This show aired on the 1 year anniversary of the infamous Survivor Series 97 and it's kinda surreal how much things changed in just a year: Bret's gone, Shawn's gone, Austin rose up the ranks firmly establishing himself as THE face of the company and Rock's growth is a sight to behold. I remember watching that post SS 97 episode of RAW where Austin and Rock start their feud over the IC title and to think that the Rock that closed this show to a molten hot crowd is the same nervous guy that cut that promo on Austin while backed by the Nation is insane. Still, besides that and some more development on the Austin/McMahon feud, nothing on this episode sticks out as being all that memorable. A serviceable go home show for a big PPV ahead. |

| 6 | 19.05.2025 | Ruthless Attitude | 9.0 | Excellent go home show for the Survivor Series that particularly built up The Rock, Austin and Mankind very strongly for the tournament with Kane also presented as a loose cannon in a terrifying way. Mick Foley is once again at his best with his character work where it's hard not to find him sympathetic with how Vince manipulates him where he gives him the big corporate makeover and his appearance when he fights Shamrock for the Hardcore Title is surreal to say the least and unsurprisingly the match is also very entertaining. Shane is demoted as a referee and surprisingly the Triple Threat match he officiates between D'Lo, Mosh and Road Dogg is really good. Plus the main event storyline where The Rock is attacked mid show and have to go against all odds to beat Mark Henry despite all the interference was really entertaining with Shane McMahon making a run in for the 3 count was a great feel good moment with the show ending with a satisfying Rock Bottom on Vince! The match quality is generally better here than on your typical episode of Raw and another stand out moment was the short Edge vs Kane match where Kane attempts to burn The Brood and a poor helpless referee and earlier in the show he accidentally burns X-Pac when he was aiming for his brother! This was a very eventful show with a lot of things happening and it was very entertaining. The Al Snow match made no sense whatsoever though. |

Foley going full-on corporate with a makeover and getting his firste Hardcore title defense, Rocky getting assaulted backstage and then coming out to secure a win against Mark Henry against all odds to secure his spot in the company and the PPV, Shane standing up to his dad again and Austin coming to his rescue. There's also Kane against the Brood which actually was pretty fun to watch, and made Edge look damn strong in the process. |

Das geht auch bei der zweiten Partie in diese Richtung, denn Terri beendet das Match per Kellnergriff im Split von Venis. Derweil macht sich Foley schonmal für die Survivor Series schick - ab der Bart und Haare gestutzt. Goldust macht derweil klipp und klar, dass er mit Terri durch ist. Das belegt er dann, indem er sich an Debra ranmacht und dafür Jarretts Gitarre frisst. Foley mit neuem Look und der Bossman mit dem entscheidenden Eingriff. Jener Bossman liefert sich als designierter Erstrundengegner Austins für den sonntäglichen PPV noch ein kurzes Rededuell mit dem Eiskalten, welches aber nicht weiter von Bedeutung ist. Al Snow soll gegen Singh antreten, muss sich dann aber mit Babu abgeben, nur um am Ende doch von Singh geschultert zu werden. Das ist doch Blödsinn. Kane gewinnt per DQ, da die komplette Brood eingreift. Als Reaktion will er dann halt alle, inklusive Ringrichter, einfach mal anzünden. WWF 1998 halt. Das folgende Segment verstärkt die falsche Fährte, die McMahon hier legt - denn es geht wieter gegen Rocky, Shane und Austin. Zwei davon sind Doppelagenten. Apropos Doppelagenten - mit dem Mainer rückt man den ehemaligen Maivia klar in die Fanecke, das ist so gemein inszeniert, dass es am Sonntag einfach nur genial wirkt. Die Show ist laut, Austin hält man überwiegend an der Leine und die Positionierung von Johnson scheint Priorität zu haben. Das ist ganz okay. |

Owen Hart und der Blue Blazer sind also doch nicht die gleiche Person. Blackman bekommt es ab. Das Triple Threat war okay. Terri jetzt bei Goldust, das Match bei Jarrett ist nichts besonderes. Ganz unterhaltsames Match zwischen Shamrock und Mankind. Klasse Promo zwischen Austin und dem Bossman. Das nächste Match gefällt dann aber eher nicht. Die Brood sorgt für einen DQ-Sieg von Kane, der dafür alle anzünden will. Das ist krass. Ordentliche Promo dann zwischen Vince und Shane. Das Ende ist dann dafür da um Rocky nochmal richtig zu pushen. Das ist gut gemacht. Ganz ordentliche Ausgabe. |
