[8.0] "The main event was great, as matches between Okada and Suzuki usually are, but they were slightly outshone by EVIL and Tanahashi, with Tanahashi having a great night and EVIL able to keep up. The rest of the tournament matches were average to good, Fale and Elgin had a poor match because of, well, you know the score by now."

[7.0] "Just another meh A-block show that blended with the rest. Elgin vs Fale was on it's way towards being something decent till the overdone BCOG shit happened, *. Page and Makabe was decent, but Page getting his first win was great, ***1/4. Jay vs YOSHI could've been something decent, but it ended up just being a match, ***. I really liked Tanahashi vs EVIL as it showed what they can do in a shorter match which makes me hopeful for an eventual bigger match down the line, ****. Okada and Suzuki didn't nearly have as good of a match as they did in the last two years, but for what they did it was still a pretty good match, ****1/4."

[7.0] "Fale/Elgin was on it's way of becoming a borderline great match, but then the BCOG interference gimmick kicked in; I have actually really liked most of the interference stuff by the Tongans in this G1, but here it ended up taking away from the awesome match Big Mike & Big Fale were having - overall still a very enjoyable, good one though (***1/4), Hangman/Makabe was surprisingly very solid! Just good, fun, slugfest'ish action from start to finish (***), Switchblade/YOSHI-HASHI was, unsurprisingly, the weakest match of the night - just as uncharismatic, dull, heatless & boring as it looked on paper (*), Tanahashi/EVIL gets the MOTN honors here; really good work on top by EVIL & a masterful performance fighting from underneath by Tana (***3/4), Okada/MiSu was a tale of two performers for me - I absolutely LOVED everything that MiSu did; forearms, knees & submissions, hell yeah! But then on the other hand, every time Okada got on the offense, I got annoyed. Overall though the match had enough of Minoru Suzuki badassery for me to call it good, but definitely prefer the Draw in the Downpour from this year (***). All in all, a very solid night for tourney action! Just one match that wasn't good or better."

[7.0] "Fale/Elgin: ***1/4. Before all the mishegoss, this was probably Fale's best performance of the tournament. He was good, Elgin is a good opponent for him after all. Elgin may be my MVP of A block. He's been the unsung hero of A block. Makabe/Page: ***1/3. Nice match. Page looked good. YH/Jay White: ***. This had some problems. Too much abuse of the referee, and an apathetic crowd. Good, but that's it. EVIL/Tana: ***3/4. Very good. Crowd was mute, but even still this was very good. Okada/Suzuki: ****1/3. What a magnificent match. This was like watching a human chess match. Everything meant something. The end was a little flat, but this nothing short of great. Show was good, but the crowd was not. Main event was excellent."

[6.0] "Pretty dull night. Elgin/Fale was fine ***. Makabe/Page was pretty good ***1/4. White/Hashi was pretty good ***1/4. Tana/EVIL was really good ***3/4. Okada/Suzuki was great, although a bit under their matches from last year ****1/4. Overall some good stuff and a great main event, but as a whole it was rather skippable"

[6.0] "Easily the worst day of the G1 so far. Fale/Elgin was boring (**), Makabe/Page was decent (***1/4), White/YOSHI-HASHI, was pretty good, White continues to be a despicable bastard, and YOSHI continues to show fire (***1/2), Tanahashi/EVIL was pretty good, loved the finisher steal at the end (***3/4), Okada/Suzuki was great but a huge disappointment considering their previous work (****). Overall it really seems like G1 burnout has set in, hopefully the next show can pull us out of it."
