[5.0] "The show starts very oddly, as while Fierce/Avalon is a fine match-up for the rejuvenated Stevie Fierce, it is puzzling not to have the blow-off to the Henry/Fierce issue taking place here. Even more baffling, Anthony Henry waltzes in immediately after to clumsily taunt Stevie Fierce, leading to an impromptu Freelance Tag Team Title match, where a team that had never competed together in a Freelance ring subitly wins the belts from the protected locals mainstay, a decision that reeks of short-sightedness and lack of follow-through. The scramble match leaned a bit two heavily on Swoggle's comedy, hurting the credibility of bigger wrestlers, but they reached the obvious conclusion of giving Robert Anthony the victory that his superstar aura commended. PCO was a great choice of guest stars and his aura lifted the crowd, but Craig's soporific match killed the mood and his slew of victories are killing the appeal of guest stars without gaining him any momentum whatsoever. GPA/Kylie was decent, even if GPA outclassed Kylie Rae in every aspects, making her look a fool and securing his status as the top heel of Freelance Wrestling. Cannon/Page, spurring spontaneously from the intermission, was a wild brawl that injected adrenaline to the show, but the non-finish and rambling promo afterwards deflated the atmosphere of what should be a climactic show. The women's three-way was slow and had no luster to it. Words/Carnies went by very fast, but the match was solid and entertaining. Darin/Isaias was quite a main event, with a well-built suspense that grew during the match and managed to truly captivate the crowd and lead them to the climax. The wrestling substance of the show was solid enough, but the lack of vision in the booking and the refusal to payoff storylines at their annual event places a ceiling on the show's quality."
