The backstage segments are the only thing that's actually better than in the previous seasons. The main event was a hard-hitting, ***1/2 match, which legitimizes Pentagon's main event run."

[8.0] "So much better than the previous episode. A fun opener with a decent new addition to the roster making his debut and walking out of the match *ahem* Strong. A decent match for the Aztec Medallion that goes on to lay more story pipe for future episodes. All topped of by a really good main event between Pentagon Dark and Matanza Cueto that was a joy to behold. This was a much better start to season four of Lucha Undergound and well worth watching."

[9.0] "A show that appeals most based on the very good main event match and the excellent backstage scenes that move the action forward so nicely. Great work cementing that Pentagon has become strong enough to overcome all his former obstacles especially, they worked it very well into the match and was easily the best the two have done together. Azteca and Drago were also good, and the new Famous B clients were at least interesting. I'm excited for next week and to learn more about where Cuerno has hidden the gauntlet. Very glad LU is back!"

[8.0] "A bit of a come down from the excellent premiere episode from last week. This is the first time I've seen the medallion components of the Gifts of the Gods. I think that it is a - dare I say - better take on the whole "cash in an opportunity for a championship. " The proceeding weeks will play out and I will be tuned in. The exclamation point is another successful defense of the Lucha Underground championship from Pentagon Dark. Keep the title on this man!"
