Overall WWF WrestleMania 13 (1997) is weak show with only Austin Vs Hart stopping it from being a total disaster."

He fights back against a dominant WCW by constantly referencing 70s material (Blackjacks, Rocky Johnson, here's Lou Albano and Arnold Skaaland in the crowd) and expecting people to care, because he can no longer use the 80s guys at Turner. He takes the Rock and Rikishi and Sid and Undertaker and make them slowly apply rest holds with no enthusiasm. The Submission match doing what it did for the company was a minor miracle."

[4.0] "I don't think there is a show that is more of a one match show than Wrestlemania 13, but what a match it was. Bret Hart and Steve Austin put on what is arguably the greatest Mania match ever. It's a legendary match with a legendary finish, and it made Stone Cold the biggest star in the company and cemented Bret Hart as one of the best to ever do it. The rest of the show was fairly middling with nothing matches like Rock/Sultan and HHH/Goldust. I enjoyed the tag team championship match even if it did have a bullshit DQ finish and the street fight was dumb fun. The main event was slow and plodding and had 1/10 of the heat that Austin and Bret have. Overall, a pretty middling Mania with one all time classic."

[6.0] "Wrestlemania 13 is considered by many to be a One Match Show, but I honestly believe the whole event is enjoyable! The first hour is the weakest part of the show. The Fatal Four Way Tag Team opener is unfortunately the low point of the card (3/10) and would have been better placed elsewhere or scrapped. The IC Title match between Rocky and Sultan is totally okay (4/10) while HHH vs Goldust went on a little too long and lacks the crowd's excitement, due to which it ultimately ended up being also just okay (4/10). The Tag Team Title match is good despite a bad finish (5/10), and then we have the highlight of the show and All Time Classic between Stone Cold and Bret Hart (10/10). The Six Man Tag Team match is a great and enjoyable mess (6/10), while the kind of slow and sometimes boring Main Event between The Undertaker and Sycho Sid ultimately manages to be a satisfying and good finish to the show (5/10). Looking over the entire card, you got an All Time Classic, there is no HUGE low-point, and you've got a couple of other really fun and enjoyable matches alongside a good ending to the show. Ultimately, I honestly believe this event to be GREAT, which earns it a (6/10) rating."

[5.0] "Definition of a one match show. Everyone knows how good Bret vs. Austin is so I'm just gonna talk about the other matches. The opener had potential but the structure of the match was just wrong. Rocky vs. Sultan wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it's still not that good. HHH vs. Goldust was really disappointing, they were capable of so much more. The tag team title match had four great workers, but it just didn't click as both teams were heels and the crowd didn't care that much. The street fight was chaotic but the lack of match flow really hurts it a lot. The main event, all I have to say is that a lot of caffeine is needed to sit through it. If you enjoy bearhugs and shitty looking middle rope double axe handles, this is the match for you."

Most of the matches here are average but then there's probably the greatest match of WWE history Bret vs Austin. Also the six man tag team match was pretty enjoyable but the rest as i said were pretty average. Bret and Austin really saved this WrestleMania from being average and forgettable."
[6.0] "Not a great Wrestlemania but Austin vs Bret Hart is one of the greatest matches in the shows history. It defined an era and Austin was cemented as the biggest star of the company once it was over. It was rare to see a match as violent and bloody as this was. Saying that outside of that match the show does have its moments with an entertaining Ahmed/LOD vs Nation Street Fight which looked like a prison riot at times. Bulldog/Owen vs Mankind/Vader was solid too although I wasn't a fan of the finish and HHH was starting to pick up momentum because of the presence of Chyna at ringside, but his match with Goldust wasn't very exciting. Unfortunately this had a very poor Rocky Maivia vs Sultan match and the Sid vs Undertaker main event was disappointing."

Hunter Helmsley against Goldust wasn't particulary good and, in my opinion, ended up being the second best match of the night, well I think that speaks for it self. A bad main event, a lot of weird finishes, this didn't feel like a wrestlemania at all."
[4.0] "A really great match and a bunch of nothing, it is worth to watch just for the Stone Cold match, but everything else is just very mediocre, as usual Wrestlemania has only one great match, and a lot of nothing. Some very legendary moments tho, so this is very important."
[3.0] "This show was so bad. Besides that great Hart and Austin match, everything else on the card is terrible. Did not feel like wrestlemania. First 2 matches were bad and the 3rd one was actually fine. Then came 16 minutes of a good tag match that ended in a double count out. Submission match obviously great and then a garbage street fight and a main event that put me to sleep. Who thought 20 minutes of Sid and taker doing rest holds was a good main event. These old Manias really didnt feel like they were the culmination of a year worth of stroytelling, instead felt like just another show."
[5.0] "It has one obviously phenomenal match and a few decent ones. The opener is a Fatal 4 Way Elimination Tag with once again the same mistake, which is putting four teams against each other and giving them so little time that two of them get eliminated immidiately. Rocky vs Sultan is the worst thing on the show, mainly due the fact that someone thought that covering Rikishi's face and making him work the hold for the entire match was a great idea. Then HHH and Goldust get things back on track thankfully, as they deliver a decent little match with nothing fancy. Tag Team Titles match is also alright apart from the finish that just makes the whole thing feel pointless, but then the highlight of the show and probably of the year happens. The incredible double turn takes place and it's a perfect culmination of a feud with a very good buildup and one of the best crowd reactions you can get. Meanhwile Chicago Street Fight really took me by surprise, as I didn't expect to enjoy a garbage match so much, but I guess it's possible when you have guys who look like they actually competed in such fights. The main event though leaves a bad taste in my mouth, as it's way too long and I can't help but not care about The Undertaker at this point. The stuff with full heel Bret is great, but the match itself is what you would expect from these two. Overall not a bad PPV with basically the same amount of highs as lows."
[7.0] "Historic show if nothing else for Bret vs Austin, which is one of the greatest matches in pro wrestling history, and the Bret/Austin double turn, which was executed to perfection. I enjoyed the 6 man Chicago Street Fight as well. Sid vs Undertaker was okay, I don't think it was as bad as some say. The rest of the card wasn't memorable."
[5.0] "Big ups to the hype package for bringing some real excitement and some buildup for the event, with most of the clips being Bret and Austin clips cause that felt like more of a main event than the main event pfft. Shout out the wacky ass rules where you can tag in another tag team in the four way match. Also shoutout the moshing from the headbangers, too bad I couldn't mosh to this fucking snoozefest of a match though. Basic and overall pretty lame with a few fun moments at the start and then the two tag teams that were interesting getting booted off by DQ and count out resulting in the rest of the match being dull. Rocky vs Sultan was super lame, the fans were event chanting "Rocky Sucks", so far this show sucks hard nads and the only consistent quality is the boys on commentary saying funny and occasionally corny shit. Overlong but competent Hunter and Goldust, and a better World Tag Title Match with pretty decent fighting going on even though it's not great either. So far the first hour is pretty lame but Bret vs Austin tears the fucking house down with the crazy chemistry and brutal brawl that ensues. Throwing each other into the barricades almost first thing and Bret doing the back body drop on the stairs. When Austin got his ankle emphasized it was hella believable and I was enthralled when he took the chair off his ankle that was gonna be pounced onto and hitting Bret Hart with the chair. Austin tying the wire around Bret, getting hit with the bell and bleeding profusely and trying his best to get out of the Sharpshooter was epic as fuck, and the double turn was hella well executed with build up that made it very natural. From there the energy was fun with the chicago street fight, shout out the dude who threw the plank on the ropes and caught it mid air. Sycho Sid promo was nutty as hell and that match with Undertaker was lame, especially for a main event, at least Taker one though. Overall a lame show elevated by a better back half."
[4.0] "With the exception of the submission match this didn't feel like Wrestlemania, it barely even felt like a PPV. In terms of things I enjoyed I'll say the Goldust/HHH match was pretty solid but went on for too long and the annoying commentary took me out of it very frequently. The tag title match was enjoyable but felt like it barely even scratched the surface of what the teams could do in the ring together. Austin/Bret is one of the best matches of all time and there's nothing I can really contribute to the discussion about besides praising it. The Chicago Street Fight was pretty fun but maybe went on a little too long when they started just repeated the spots involving the fire extinguisher and the noose. Besides that these are pretty much all stinkers especially that main event which made me feel completely empty by the end of it."

[5.0] "Heat! Nachdem ich alle PPVs und Raws ab King of the Ring 1996 gesehen habe, bildet das hier erstmal meinen vorläufigen Abschluss dieses Projekts. Generell ist es cool in den Storys drin zu sein. Los geht es mit einem Tag Team Elimination Match, bei welchem auch die New Blackjacks debutieren, die dann aber recht unspektakulär disqualifiziert werden, wobei Furnas und Lafon ausgezählt werden. Danach sind die beiden schlechteren Teams noch übrig. Match war insgesamt solide würde ich sagen. Rocky vs. Sultan ebenfalls solide und HHH vs. Goldust war in Ordnung und hatte ein paar nette Momente, geht aber auch etwas lang. Das Tag Team Title Match endet leider im Double Countout und war bis dahin das beste Match der Show. Nichts besonderes aber immerhin ganz nett. Danach ist es Zeit für einen absoluten Klassiker, der sehr gut gealtert ist. Erneut tolle Intensität und die Fans fressen den Doppel-Turn absolut, wodurch dieses Match nochmal aufgewertet wird. Der Street Fight danach ist recht unübersichtlich und das typische Plunder-Match. Geht in Ordnung. Der Main Event ist dann...lang...und langweilig. Hätte ich so nicht erwartet aber das zieht sich sehr. Der Undertaker hat hier noch nicht die Klasse wie später und SId ist sichtlich überfordert mit der Matchlänge. Dazu geht es im Finish mehr um Bret Hart als um den Titelgewinn des Undertakers. Das war leider nicht gut. Insgesamgt mehr oder weniger wieder eine one match show, wobei der Rest mal solide und mal ganz nett ist."

The Chicago street fight wasn't terrible, but not something I'd go out of my way to watch. If you know anything about this show though, you know what I'm about to say next. blah blah blah Bret vs Austin was a classic blah blah blah. Shout out to Bret for coming out for the main to bury Sid and shoutout to HBK for burying Bret on commentary in return. With Bret and Austin this show sits at a 4, without it, it falls to a 2. When will we get another half way decent Mania'"

The six-man tag street fight, HHH vs. Goldust and Owen/Bulldog vs. Mankind/Vader were all good, and 'Taker vs. Sid was ok, if a somewhat disappointing main event following Hart-Austin. The four-way elimination tag had potential but was way too short for a match like that. Perhaps a "one-match show, " but I found it enjoyable overall."

Mit einem besseren Main Event hätte das eine richtig gute Show werden können, so ist sie immerhin solide."
[5.0] "Der Opener ist ein Schatten von heutigen Matches dieser Art, wirkt auch einfach zu lang geraten. Gleiches gilt für die nächsten beiden Matches, bei denen die kommenden Stars wichtige Siege erzielen, aber in jeweils durchschnittlichen Matches, die wie erwähnt Längen haben. Das Tag Team Match nutzt die Zeit sehr gut und baut ein immer besser werdendes Match auf, das zu einem unsauberen Finish führt. Grade bei einer Wrestlemania ist sowas dann enttäuschend. Austin und Hart haben dann eines der besten Matches der Company Geschichte, dieser Kampf ist mit dem Brawl v. a. zu Beginn des Matches und dem vielfachen Einsatz von foreign objects stilprägend für die Attitude Era. Wie diese Gegenstände nicht eingesetzt werden sollten, führt der Street Fight vor. Dieses Match ist dermaßen überladen mit Spots und erst am Schluss gibt es zusammenhängende Action. Der Main Event war extrem schlecht. Über 20 Minuten, unsauberes Finish und kein Tempo zwischen Sid & Taker. Das sollte einer der schlechtesten Mania Main Events überhaupt sein. Die Show wird im Grunde nur von Austin/ Hart getragen, ansonsten bietet die Card Durchschnitt oder Schlechtes. Schwanke zwischen 5 und 6, aufgrund des schwachen letzten Matches, gebe ich die niedrigere Punktzahl."
[6.0] "Opener DUD, Rocky vs Sultan * 3/4, Goldust vs HHH **, Vader und Mankind vs Owen und Davey ** 1/2, Hart vs Austin *****, LOD und Ahmed vs Nation *** 1/2 und der Main Event **. Hart vs Austin ist das beste Match aller Zeiten und rettet die Show. LOD und Ahmed vs Nation ist ein echt spaßiger Brawl und ein kleiner Hidden Gem in der Wrestlemania Geschichte. Der rest der Show hatte maximal mäßiges Wrestling welches in einem bocklangweiligen Main Event ein Ende fand."
[6.0] "Wie auch im Jahr davor war Wrestlemania 13 eine One Match Show, aber trotzdem hatte sie neben diesem einen Match noch mehr zu bieten. Schwach fing es allerdings an mit dem Opener Billy Gunn vs Flash Funk, was belanglos war. Das folgende Tag Team Match war auch nicht das interessanteste und auch die Teams waren nicht sonderlich stark. Das IC Titlematch war okay und The Rock konnte seinen Titel verteidigen, was ein guter Aufbau für ihn war. HHH darf danach Goldust besiegen, aber auch das war ein relativ uninteressantes Match. Danach wird es allerdings besser mit Owen Hart und British Bulldog gegen Mankind und Vader im wohl stärksten Tag Team Match am Abend. Das folgende Match ist natürlich das MOTN und eines der besten Wrestlemania Matches aller Zeiten. Bret Hart, der wohl beste In Ring Worker der 90er gegen Steve Austin, das zukünftige Topface der WWF. Sehr starkes und vor allem brutales Match zwischen den beiden, das eine hohe intensität hat, die auch in der starken Fehde der beiden aufgebaut wurde. Am Ende ist es sogar noch besser als das Match bei der Survivor Series und Bret Hart gewinnt. Vielleicht der falsche Sieger, darüber kann man sich streiten, aber definitiv ein hervorragendes Match. LOD und Ahmed Johnson vs Nation of Domination war danach okay und ein sogar sehr gutes Fillermatch vor dem Main Event. Dieser ist dann Undertaker vs Sycho Sid um den WWF Title, wo der Taker seine Streak weiterhin ausbauen kann und den Titel im ME gewinnen kann. Sicherlich nicht das stärkste Match, was auch an Sycho Sid liegt, aber dennoch ein guter Main Event und eine große Ansetzung."

[8.0] "Great edition of WrestleMania, it enters in my fav 10 probably for the importance of the show and the quality of matches and spectacle in general. 1997 it? s one of the worst year from a buissness point of view for WWE , Monday night War was killing Vince Mcmhaon, Nitro was beating raw in the War. But it was also in my opinion one of the best years from a matches quality point of view and WrestleMania was the prove. Good undercard with a great Roster. Great match between Triple H and Goldust: watching it nowdays makes me think The Game was already the Game, The faith wanted him to become one of the best ever but who says he is who he is becouse he married Stephanie is an asshole, go back and watch this match he was already The Celebral assassin. Rocky Maivia vs Sultan (AKA Rikishi) was good, it? s great to see that Dwayne was a good athlete with good skills but poor charisma, reminded me Roman Reings in the beginning of both their Carreras. Great match between mankind Vader Owen and Bulldog, how is possible to have bad matches with this 4 legends? Austin vs Bret Hart is one of the most famous matches of all time , the match that made Austin great , the one match that made the Attitude Era. It? s incredible how the faith played a big role in this match because the Austin? s blood was accidental but it was the fact that made this match epic. The final scene is legendary , Austin went out of Chicago like the new hero of WWE and he will take the company for the next years to the promise Land . Chicago Street Fight was probably only disappointment of the night. Undertaker vs Sico sid was probably not the best match ever for the undertaker but one of the most important: Taker first Mania MainEvent and first title win at showcase of the immortals . As a quality point of view ? The Streak? started becoming interesting after with the match against Kane. Incredible like nobody remember Sid as great but at the time he was a big dog , probably more invincible than the Deadman."

Die biedere erste Hälfte steigert sich nur langsam, sieht u. a. ein ordentliches Rocky gegen Alle und ein solides Goldust vs. HHH. Das folgende Tag-Team Match zeigt eine Mischung aus - offenbar Motto des Abends - Technik und Hardcore. Leider endet es im Doppel-Countout. Die Schlacht zwischen Bret Hart und Steve Austin, das MotN, lebt von der irren Kombination aus Submission und Street Fight, die beide perfekt anwenden. Ein spannendes, teilweise hochklassiges und unglaublich dramatisches Match, dessen episches Ende nahezu einmalig ist. Danach kommen nur noch Zugaben, was leider auch für den Mainevent gilt. Sid gehört für mich einfach nicht in einen WM Mainevent und der Taker in 1997 ist auch nicht der Richtige, um ihn zu einem besseren Match zu führen. Dieser ME gehört für mich zu den schwächsten überhaupt. Das Match ist zäh, langsam und schlicht zu lang. Ein Weltklasse-Match, einige ordentliche Beiträge stehen einigen Lowlights und einem schwachen ME entgegen. Abgerundete 5 Punkte."
[8.0] "Nach dem Totalausfall vom letzten mal, war diese Wrestlemania schon viel besser, sehr gut fand ich die beiden Tag Matches, das Four Way und den Street Fight, auch Bret vs Austin war sehr verbissen und gut, der Main Event war an einigen Stellen etwas zu lang."
[6.0] "Bret Hart and Steve Austin's match is a legendary match, without a doubt, but aside from that match, Wrestlemania XIII was nothing to write home about."
[6.0] "Das Four Way Match holt mich nicht besonders ab. Die Disqualifikation hilft dem Matchfluss auch nicht wirklich muss man sagen. Das IC Title Match ist da schon ein bisschen besser ohne was besonderes zu sein aber es hat ein paar gute Aktionen, in denen beide zeigen, dass sie beweglich sind - besonders the Sultan zu Beginn. Triple H gegen Goldust lebt natürlich vor Allem von der Story auch rundum die Ringbegleitungen und im Zuge dessen ist das Ganze auch ein passendes Finish. Das Tag Title Match ist das bis dahin stärkste des Events und ziemlich hard hitting aber das Finish zieht das Ganze auch ziemlich runter. Hart gegen Austin ist dann ein absolutes Weltklassematch, dass seinem Ruf absolut gerecht wird. Hart als perfekter Heel ließ Austin als perfekten Face und vor Allem einen der besten Udnerdogs überhaupt aussehen. Sehr gutes Arm-und Schulterwork von Hart im Anschluss an den schnellen, intensiven Start als beide sich durch die Crowd brawlen. Das Match steigert sich immer mehr aber irgendwie kriegt Austin auch immer wieder Hopespots rein und stemmt sich gegen die Niederlage, bis sein Körper schließlich aufgibt. Der Street Fight im Anschluss ist das zweitbeste Match des Abends. Es ist natürlich kein Meisterstück aber es ist eine intensive Materialschlacht, die durchaus unterhaltsam ist. Leider kommt dann ein ME, dass nicht katastrophal ist aber einem ME nicht ganz würdig. Ja es gibt eine Story darum das Sycho Sid Undertaker versucht zuzusetzen, welche allerdings am Ende dann doch gewinnt. Aber es wirkt vor Allem zu lang und im Mittelteil repetitiv. Insgesamt ist das eine Veranstaltung, die ein Weltklassematch hat, noch ein wirklich anständiges und ansonsten vieles was so mittelmäßig oder okay ist, weswegen trotz Austin gegen Hart nicht mehr als 6 Punkte gerechtfertigt sind."
[4.0] "One match show, but that match is pretty f**king perfect. Watch Austin vs Hart and nothing else, everything else is not worth your time. One of the worst Manias ever, but that 5 star match boosts it up the ladder just a little bit."
[5.0] "Okay Mania, not terrible but I can't call it good because except from legendary submission match there are nothing special. Opener is just okay, it doesn't deserve negative rating from Meltzer. Rocky vs Sultan is bad. Goldust Vs Hunter is good. Tag team match is pretty good too but ending is bad. Submission match is just awesome. I think that it's not only the most vicious match in WrestleMania history but the best match in Mania history too. Chicago street fight is very fun. First hardcore match of that type in WWF. Main event is very long and boring and has not clean finish."

[3.0] "When you talk about a one match show, look no further than this one. Bret vs. Austin is iconic, a true 5 star classic, but everything else on this show except maybe the Chicago streetfight was a chore to watch. Add in a boring as hell main event event, a minus star opening match, and you have some pretty bad wrestling at one of the biggest shows of the year."
[5.0] "Das Build Up zu dieser Wrestlemania war leider alles andere als überragend, was zum einen an der fehlenden Kreativität lag, aber auch an Michaels, der Wochen zuvor alle Pläne über den Haufen warf mit seiner lächerlichen "I lost my Smile" Promo. Dementsprechend war das einzige Match mit einem Build Up Austin vs. Bret, welches auch das einzige Highlight dieser Wrestlemania war, dafür aber auch ein Kracher. Ansonsten gab es bei dieser Wrestlemania erscheckenderweise nur Matches mit Weekly Qualität, bei dem lediglich der Six Man Chicago Street Fight zum Teil überzeugen konnte, wo man wenigstens bemüht war etwas neues zu zeigen. Der Main Event hatte überhaupt keine Bedeutung und letztendlich blieben nur Austin und Bret Hart positiv in Erinnerung. Im Gesamtpaket noch in Ordnung aufgrund eines Matches, aber ansonsten lustlos geworkt."
[5.0] "Diese Wrestlemania kann nur wenig begeistern. Eine ungnädige Undercard mit einem anspruchslosen Four Way Match, in welchem die handwerklich schwächsten Teams am längsten im Ring stehen und einem Intercontinental-Champion, den man versucht mit der Brechstange over zu bringen. Auch Hunter/Goldust kann nicht wirklich überzeugen, zu ausgelutscht die Fehde, zu limitiert Dustins Möglichkeiten in dieser Phase seiner Karriere. Das Tag-Match kann annähernd ohne Publikumsreaktionen jedoch halbwegs überzeugen, während das Submission Match einen hervorragenden Höhepunkt der Show darstellt und zum Großteil von der Psychologie und der Darstellungskraft der Teilnehmer profitiert. Dem Street-Fight kann ich ebenfalls nicht viel abgewinnen, da man im Vergleich zur (damaligen) ECW zu viel auf haltlose Effekthascherei setzt und kein wirkliches Aha-Erlebnis platziert. Der Main-Event macht abschliessend auch nicht wirklich Spaß und zieht sich wie Kaugummi zu einem immerhin befriedigendem Ergebnis und wird immer nur dann interessant, wenn Hart eingreift, um seinen Turn zu vollenden. Das ist viel Mittelmaß, stellenweise nicht einmal das, aber da ist auch dieser zeitlose Klassiker zwischen Hart und Austin in der Tüte, der quasi im Alleingang die Show auf fünf Punkte rettet."
[7.0] "Der Titelkampf zwischen Sid und dem Undertaker war bestenfalls mittelmäßig. Das "I quit"-Match ist ein Klassiker und wird zu Recht auch heute oft erwähnt. Was ich jedoch besonders hervorheben möchte ist das Tag-Team-Titelmatch, dieses ist für mich sehr unterbewertet. Hier treffen 4 erfahrene Größen aufeinander und liefern in einer Viertelstunde wirklich ein packendes, actiongeladenes Duell. Lediglich das Ende ohne klaren Sieger ist zu kritisieren, zumal es auch kein Rematch gab. Der Chicago Street Fight war für mich damals der Kracher der Show. Inzwischen muss ich zugeben, dass es selbst damals bessere Brawls gegeben hat. Nichts desto trotz ein solder Kampf. Das Duell zwischen Goldust und HHH sehe ich auch noch als gutes Match und eine weitere sehenswerte Etappe in der Fehde der beiden Ex-Interconitnental-Champions. Die beiden Opener dagegen sind nicht der Rede wert. Aus dem 4-Team-Match hätte man deutlich mehr rausholen können, der Versuch Rocky Maivia zu einem Top-Babyface aufzubauen misslang gründlich. Alles in allem eine gute WrestleMania, deutlich besser als die beiden Vorgänger und auch heute noch mit dem ein oder anderen sehenswerten Match."
[6.0] "Die Veranstaltung beginnt erschreckend Schwach. Blackjacks und Furnas&LaFon sind zu schnell raus, dann die Godwinns und Headbangers? Kann mit beiden Teams nichts anfangen(weil Sie mir immer egal waren). Sultan vs The Rock war ganz nett. Das Ende aber naja fach. Bei Triple H und Goldust beginnt bei mir erst so richtig die Veranstaltung an fahrt aufzunehmen. Beide hatten seit 1995 eine gute Entwicklung gemacht und das sollte sich in dem Match auch zeigen. Das Tag Team Titel Match war dann eigentlich unwichtig. Wer dachte an ein Team aus Mick Foley & Vader? Nun kam es aber zum Match des Abends Stone Cold vs Bret Hart. Hier findet die Attitude Ära meines erachtens seinen Ursprung. Im Chicago Street Fight war zwar Brawl aber unwichtig. Der Vorklatsch des Main Events besiegelte den Heel Turn. Aber Undertaker vs Sid war für mich ein schwächerer Mainer. Aber zumindest musste Sid den Titel abgeben. 3Gute Matches aber dennoch nur 6Punkte, da doch einiges unwichtig war."
[6.0] "It's not a bad edition of Wrestlemania, and it's not on the bests. There is a five star match that is a must-see between Bret Hart and Steve Austin. The main event between Sid and Taker was made in a few weeks (Undertaker's rival was Mankind, involved in another match). The tag team match for the belts was good except for the ending, Rocky vs The Sultan (Rikishi) probably the worst on the card. Hunter vs Goldust is another interesting match, it showed that HHH was ready for a big push. Acceptable Wrestlemania, but with some flaws."
[6.0] "1. Opener war solide, mehr aber auch nicht. (2*) 2. Rocky gegen den Sultan war auch nicht der Bringer. Das Match mit einem School Boy zu beenden war auch nicht gerade einfallsreich und lässt Rocky auch nicht stark aussehen. (2*) 3. Auch die Fehde zw. HHH & Goldust ist auch nicht gut & das Match ist auch nicht besser als beim Rumble. Einzig Chyna mit ihrer Attacke auf Marlena könnte einem in Gedächtnis bleiben. (2 1/4*) 4. Das Tag Team Championship Match endete enttäuschend. Es geht ziemlich lang und dann gibt es einen Double Count Out. (2 1/2*) 5. Hart gegen Austin siehe Guide. (5*) 6. Der Street Fight war okay, bot aber wenig interessantes. Zudem war das Finish schwach. (2 1/2*) 7. ME war schwach. Zudem gab es auch noch die Show um HBK, die nicht unbedingt sein hätte müssen. Über den Sieg des Takers habe ich mich auch schon damals gefreut. (1 3/4*) WM13 war doch enttäuschend. Man kann sagen, dass es eine One Match Show war. Doch dieses Match hatte es in sich."
[6.0] "Für sieben Punkte reicht es hier leider nicht ganz. Gutes Opening Match und auch die zwei folgenden Matches waren okay. HHH gegen Goldust und das Tag-Match lieferten richtig gut ab und Austin gegen Hart ist ein "magischer" Klassiker, den man sich immer wieder angucken kann. Semi Main Event ging okay, für WWF-Verhältnisse war das damals ein wildes Match. Der Main Event war nicht schlecht, aber so richtig zufrieden war ich nicht. Erst am Anfang der Auftritt von Bret Hart und dann zwei Eingriffe durch ihn, was wirklich zuviel ist. Dann noch Shawn Michaels am Mikro, der damals "so weit draussen" war, dass er bei aller Selbstverliebtheit nicht merkt, was er da teilweise für einen wirren Quatsch erzählt. Grandios auch sein "Overselling" der Publikumsreaktionen, er muss sich immer und immer wieder vom fanatischen Mob losreissen... Wie auch immer, solide WrestleMania-Ausgabe, die unter dem Strich überzeugte, auch wenn der Main Event hier nicht das Niveau der Show halten konnte."
[5.0] "Der Opener war zwar recht actionreich, aber aus heutiger Sicht vollkommen random. Kein einziges der teilnehmenden Tag Teams ist einem wirklich in Erinnerung geblieben. Das IC-Match war schon etwas ansprechender. Ein ganz junger Rock kämpft gegen einen maskierten Rikishi. Quasi eine Familienfehde. Ordentlich aber nicht herausragend. Gleiches gilt für HHH vs Goldust. Match kann man sich gut ansehen, aber wirklich im Gedächtnis wird es einem nicht bleiben. Das Tag Match weiss zu überzeugen bis auf das uncleane Finish. Danach kommt der Klassiker dieser WM. Austin vs Hitman. Ein brutaler Fight der bis an die Grenzen des Erträglichen geht. Nicht umsonst bekommt man auf vielen DVDs nur die geschnittene Version zu sehen. Genialer Doppelturn und eins der großartigsten WM-Matches überhaupt. Nach diesem Highlight folgen leider zwei Lowlights. Den Tag Team Street Fight kann man völlig vergessen. Totales Chaos, null Story, echt mies. Auch der Main-Event gehört sicherlich zu den schlechtesten aller Zeiten. SID ist einfach nur grausam und der Taker war damals In-Ring-technisch furchtbar langweilig. Insgesamt viel Durchschnitt, ein All-Time-Klassiker und ein sehr schlechter Main-Event. Durchwachsene Sache."
[6.0] "Der Opener war nichts besonderes. Rocky gegen den Sultan war okay. Genauso Goldust gegen HHH. Das Tag Team Title Match macht dann schon richtig Spaß. Dann kommt natürlich das Match des Abends mit Hart gegen Austin. Unvergessen. Legendär. Der Street Fight weiß auch zu gefallen, mir gefallen halt solche Matches. Der Main Event war wrestlerisch nicht viel. Insgesamt eine durchschnittliche Wrestlemania."
[8.0] "Eine gute WrestleMania mit 3 klasse Kämpfen. Das Match zwischen Austin und Hart war großartig, das Tag Team Match mit Vader & Mankind gegen Owen & Bulldog ebenso und der Main Event war auch gut anzusehen. Dazu gab es ein gutes Match von HHH. Der Rest war ansehnlich."
[6.0] "Was a good show. Not as good as Wrestlemania should be though. The opening 4 way match was ok, as was Rocky Maivia/Sultan. Goldust and Hunter had a better match than they did at the Royal Rumble. Owen/Bulldog vs. Mankind/Vader was solid enough. The 6-man street fight was ok. Undertaker and Sid was good, but not as you would expect as a main event. Austin and Bret put on a solid 4 star match that jump started Austin's career. 6 of 10."
[3.0] "Really outside the Bret/Austin match and Ahmed/LOD vs Nation matches there isn't a single thing worth watching on this card. The fact that this is WrestleMania, during the WWF's most interesting period it's a pretty big let down. Owen/British Bulldog should have been on this card. Shawn Michaels kind of screwed this WrestleMania's booking up but had he not feigned his knee injury we wouldn't have even got the Bret/Austin match. One of the worst WrestleMania's of all time. Goldust/HHH, Rocky/Sultan, Mankind & Vader/Owen & Bulldog and Sid/Taker are not the match ups people wanted to see."
[6.0] "Ich bin total geflashed von dem Submission Match zwischen Austin und Hart. Rest der Card sieht dagegen eher schwach aus, ist aber trotzdem noch im Durchschnitt."
[5.0] "WrestleMania 13 lebt in allererster Linie vom Match zwischen Bret Hart und Steve Austin, dem Doppel-Turn beider sowie dem Titelgewinn des Undertakers. Die Undercard und leider auch die Midcard beispielsweise in Form des Six Man Tag Team Street Fights können gar wenig überzeugen oder enttäuschen gar."
[7.0] "Recht ansehnliche Wrestlemania. Der Opener war ok, aber nichts spannendes. Das IC-Titlematch war mir zu einseitig und Rockys Anfangscharakter war einfach nur langweilig, aber nicht schlecht und schöne Kommentare vom Honky Tonk Man. HHH-Goldust und das TT-Match litten beide unter der zu langen Matchzeit, die man anderweitig hätte verwenden können, allerdings waren beide Matches okay. Austin-Hart ist mit dem Double-Turn dann natürlich genial, wenn auch von der Matchqualität her IMO kein Klassiker. Der Chicago Street Fight hätte die oben genannte Zeit vertragen können, so nur ein okayes Match. Den ME fand ich eigentlich fantastisch, auch wenn viele ihn zu langsam finden. Dennoch waren Bret Harts Eingriffe zwar passend, aber etwas übertrieben. Der Titelgewinn des Undertaker rundet diese sehr ansehnliche Veranstaltung auf, deshalb unterm Strich 7 Punkte."
[7.0] "Durchweg solide und gute Matches. Dafür war das Submission Match auch noch echt super gut mit dem Double Turn von Austin und Bret. Der Beginn der Austin- und Attitude Ära sozusagen. Takers Titelgewinn rundet diesen PPV schön ab."
[7.0] "Diese Veranstaltung lebt vom Match zwischen Austin und Hart, das man einfach mal gesehen haben sollte und welches den absoluten Höhepunkt der Show darstellt. Der Rest der Show ist ok, wobei aus der Zeit der Veranstaltung heraus betrachtet der Chicago Street Fight auch durchaus ein Highlight darstellt, da die Härte des Matches für das Mainstream Wrestling durchaus was absolut neues war. Gleiches gilt auch für die Atmosphäre der Veranstaltung, die wesentlich rauher, schneller und erwachsener ist, als das, was man zuvor geboten bekam. Daher gebe ich 7 Punkte."
[7.0] "Das erste un dzweite Match schwach aber dannach steigert sich die Card immer mehr. HHH und Goldust bringen ein ordentliuche Match, TT Titelmatch gut aber mit enttäuschendem Finish, Bret und Austin sind natürlich Legendär, Six Man tag absolut unterhaltsam und das Main Event ist zwar kein kracher aber dennoch in Ordnung. Alles in allem eine gute Wrestlemania mit einem Wrestlemania Klassiker."
[6.0] "Eine im Vergleich zu den Vorjahren gesteigerte WM, die durch einen Geniestreich zum Wendepunkt des damaligen Wrestling wurde. Allein der Kampf Austin gegen Hart macht diese Veranstaltung zu etwas ganz Besonderem, der Moment an dem die Stimmung entgültig kippte und die Fans aufhörten das Face anzufeuern und sich stattdessen lieber den regelbrechenden, dafür aber coolen Steve Austin als ihren Helden selbst wählten. Unnachahmlich und einmalig. Hinzu kommt ein recht spannendes Big Man Match, dass als ME der Veranstaltung würdig war, der unterhaltsame Mix Tag Kampf und der noch bessere Tag Kampf ergänzten die Show sehr ordentlich. Die Undercard verhindert eine weitere Aufwertung der Show, hier wurde zu wenig im Vorfeld zu Wrestlemania aufgebaut."
[7.0] "Fast durchweg solide Matches. Dafür war das Submission Match echt super gut mit dem Double Turn von Austin und Bret. Der Beginn der Austin- und Attitude Ära sozusagen. Takers Titelgewinn rundet diesen PPV schön ab."
[6.0] "Durchweg nette Wrestlemania. Die Undercard weiss soweit ganz gut zu gefallen und mit dem Submission match kommt dann eines DER WWE Matches schlechthin. Danach geht es dann ganz gut weiter mit dem Street Fight und dem Titelmatch, aber Austin/Hart bleibt der Klassiker und das Match, welches dieses PPV wirklich ganz sehenswert macht."
[4.0] "Totlangweilige WM, wie öfters in den Neunzigern. AB 2000 ging es gut bergauf, sodass WM zu etwas richtig besonderem wurde, was auch nicht nur besonders vermarktet wurde, sondern auch durch Wrestling überzeugen konnte. Außer dem Submission Match kann man sich hier kein 2. Match noch einmal ansehen. Ein Hammer, der Rest war absoluter Untergrund."
[7.0] "Ich sehe dieser WM sehr zwiegespalten gegenüber. Zum einen ist es sicherlich einer der schlechteren Wrestlemanias andererseits fand bei der Wrestlemania, das wahrscheinlich beste Match aller Wrestlemanias statt. Hart vs Austin muss man gesehen haben. Aber das Tag Team Title Match und der Chigago Street Fight war auch nicht schlecht und bringen mich dann insgesamt doch noch zu einer 7!"
[6.0] "Finde die WM nicht schlecht. Der Opener war trotz sehr bescheidener Besetzung unterhaltsam und hatte seine guten Szenen. Rocky/Sultan war auch ordentlich, aber eben, genau wie der Opener, nichts was man mehrmals sehen muss. Goldust gegen Hunter war auch weder gut noch schlecht. Man schlief nicht ein, aber irgendwie belanglos. Das sehr gut besetzte Tag Team Match bot die bis dahin beste Unterhaltung. Hat mir wirklich gut gefallen. Dann kam auch schon der eigentliche Hauptkampf des Abends. Bret und Austin liefern sich ein denkwürdiges Submission Match, das man unbedingt mal gesehen haben sollte. Der Street Fight war für mich das schlechteste Match auf der Card. OK LoD sind schon sehr gut, aber der Kampf war viel zu chaotisch und unübersichtlich aufgrund der vielen Beteiligten. Der wirkliche Hauptkampf ist leider bis auf den Titelgewinn des Undertakers nicht sehenswert. HBK war ja leider nicht dabei an dem Abend. Da es eine Wrestlemaina war und man deswegen einfasch mehr erwarten kann gebe ich 6 Punkte, bei einem B-PpV wären es wohl 7 geworden."
[5.0] "Nur ein bis zwei Top Matches, der Rest war einfach nicht wirklich zumutbar. Der Main Event gefiel mir gar nicht, weil er viel zu lang war, und auch die ersten 4 Matches wissen nicht zu überzeugen, zumindest nicht bei mir.. Für das grandiose Bret vs. Austin Match gebe ich gerade noch die 5 Punkte."
[6.0] "Die WWF stand gerade am Rande des Niedergangs und diese WM offenbarte nur einen einzigen kleinen Lichtblick und der nannte sich Steve Austin. Der Rest ist zu vernachlässigen^^"
[7.0] "Eine an sich geile Wrestlemania, mit drei ansehlichen Matches. Der Main Event war eher schlecht. Aber alleine wegen des Submission Matches, ist das ein guter Griff, wenn man sich Wrestlemania Geschichte ansehen will."
[5.0] "Totale One-Match Show, was bei den ständigen Änderungen der Card im Vorfeld aber auch nicht verwunderlich ist. Austin vs Hart war Klasse, aber nicht genug, den Event zu retten. Ein erschrecheckend schwacher und langatmiger Main Event versüßt die Erinnerungen an die Show nun auch nicht gerade."
[4.0] "Das Submission Match wertet den PPV natürlich erheblich auf, sonst würde es ziemlich traurig werden. Bis auf dieses Match und vielleicht den Street Fight, keine guten Matches dabei."
[6.0] "Diese Wrestlemania war wirklich eine der schlechteren. Hart gegen Austin war absolout legendär. Ansonsten wäre die Show schon bald an der 5 vorbeigeschrammt. Die anderen Matches waren langweilig bis durchschnittlich."
[8.0] "Diese Wrestlemania bietet über weite Strecken solides Wrestling. Goldust vs Triple H ist gut. Entäuschend ist einzig der Main Event. Die zwei Powerhouses machten nicht wirklich eine gute Figur und das Eingreifen von Bret Hart war nicht wirklich gut für das Match. Hat man vorallem beim Undertaker bessere Matches gesehnen. Wenigsten holt er den Titel. Der Sreetfight ist amüsant und L. O. D sind immer sehenswert. Das Submission Match ist eines der besten Wrestling-Matches, das ich je gesehen haben. Unglaublich dynamisch und spannend. Ausserdem für WWF Verhältnisse sehr Brutal. Muss man gesehen umzu verstehen. Allein dieses Match reicht für den Kauf dieser Wrestlemania und der Rest unterhält einem gut"
[6.0] "Für mich eine bessere WrestleMania, als ihr Ruf sagt. Highlight natürlich klar das Submission Match **** 3/4. Dazu noch ein solider Main Event ** 1/2, ein unterhaltsamer Street Fight ** 1/2, sowie ein ordentliches Tag Team Titles Match ** 1/2. Ansonsten bleibt hier aber nich viel in Erinnerung."
[6.0] "Bret Hart vs Steve Austin... Ein Match, das in die Geschichte einging. Der PPV, an dem es stattfand, allerdings nicht, bevor man sich diesen PPV ansieht, sollte man wirklich überlegen, ob man nicht einfach im net nach Austin vs Hart sucht, und sich den Rest spart."
[6.0] "Das Submission Match war wohl der endgültige Auftakt der Austin Era und zugleich der Abschied des "alten" Hitmans. Der Streetfight war gut, der Main Event verlief erwartungsgemäß. Mehr als 6 Punkte sind keinesfalls drin, da bis zum Submission Match fast alles uninteressant war."
[6.0] "In meinen Augen leider eine der schwächsten Wrestlemanias. Das Match zwischen Bret Hart und Steve Austin ist legendär. Der Rest ist allerdings nur begrenzt Wrestlemania-würdig."
[6.0] "Die WrestleMania stand im Vorfeld unter einem schlechten Stern. Eine der schlechtesten aufgebauten WrestleMania aller Zeiten, doch enttäuscht hat sie mich nicht. Absoluter Höhepunkt das Match zwischen Bret Hart und Stone Cold, sowie der anschliessende Double Turn. Weitere Höhepunkte waren der Chicago Street Fight und der Titelgewinn des Undertakers, der es damals einfach mal wieder an der Reihe war."
[6.0] "Bret Hart gegen Steve Austin ist in meinen Augen das Match gewesen, welches die Attitude-Ära einleitete. Steve Austin avancierte zum Superstar, Bret Hart turnte nach fast einem Jahrzehnt zum Heel, es gab Blut, Gewalt und Emotionen. Ein fantastisches Match.
