[4.0] "Keine wirklich gute Show für New Japan Verhältnisse.
Fazit: Eine ganz Solide Show von New Japan. MOTN war der Main Event."
[5.0] "This show was good for what it was. The under-card was actually a little better than your average NJPW under-card. The BUSHI/Desperado and Hiromu/Kanemaru matches were two matches that were on their way to being very good but were soured by all the interference. I understand why this works in terms of story and have no problem with them booking it this way. In general tend to be less bothered by the Suzuki-Gun shtick than most people (IT'S WRESTLING - PEOPLE INTERFERE). However, all that being said watching these matches independently from the story did take what should have been great matches and made them pretty un-enjoyable for me. The tag title match was good not great. I will say that a) this was one of the better matches EVIL and SANADA have had as a tag team in a WHILE (although they should get a pass being that EVIL missed time with injury) and b) I enjoy the tag division much more with KES in the picture. As for the main event, it had a lot of great match elements but didn't quite get all the way there for me. I love the Minoru Suzuki character but a lot of his matches tend to drag in the middle for me. I get that they are story based matches and that's great I'm all for it but I can only watch two dudes laying in the middle of the ring on their backs for so long. I liked the story going into this match of Naito toying with Suzuki, making jokes and refusing to acknowledge his sadistic antics, and they played on that at the beginning of the match and I kind of wish they had just stuck with it longer or jumped into the Suzuki working Naito's knee gimmick earlier. I don't know how it lined up with the actual timing of the match but in watching it it FELT like there was a lot of dead time in between the two stories and FELT longer than 30 minutes which isn't short to begin with. Still, a good match I'd say it's about ***3/4. Show itself about **3/4. Also feels like Naito defeating Suzuki for the IC belt is an event deserving of being put on a bigger show."
[8.0] "For me the match of the night of course was Minoru Suzuki vs Tetsuya Naito. The beginning of the match was good. The two opponents tried to give each other psychological superiority. Suzuki was nice to imitate Naito by lying in the middle of the ring. Then of course Naito exhibited his classic dirty movements and spat on Suzuki once or twice. While Naito was continuing as tranquilo, Suzuki was a bit more serious side. While Suzuki hitting him, Naito was always smilling. but Naito's smiles were diminished after Suzuki had begun to work on his right knee. Naito was trying to attack sometimes, but Suzuki had acquired psychological superiority. A botch happened on center of the match but i did not care. Naito couldn't hit the necbreaker clearly because Suzuki selled a little bit late. It was not an mistake that affected the overall match. Then Naito went back to the attacks and suddenly slapped Suzuki couple of times really hard. Then the blood came from Suzuki's nose. It really made me sad because i'm fan of Suzuki. After that, only one Destino and Naito put him down and i was even more upset..."
[7.0] "Decent show with a pretty good main event. BUSHI vs Desperado was boring but picked up towards the end before a lame DQ finish, ***. Hiromu vs Kanemaru right afterwards was actually pretty decent, ***1/2. LIJ vs KES wasn't as good as their WK12 match, but fine for what it was, ***1/2. I really didn't know how the main event was going to go down, and while it wasn't either man's best match this year, it was still quite a great match, ****1/4."
[5.0] "Started with BUSHI/Despy, which was around *** til the end happened. Bled into Hiromu/Kanemaru, which was probably around the same. Hiromu is so talented. Tag title match: ***1/2. Good, lots of nonsense, which is a theme of this show it looks like. Main Event: ***1/3. Oof. Good, but this should have been better. The more i think about it the less i think of it. bad performance for Naito. Good show."
"Well, I only watched the main event, and jesus, it was disappointing. Naito vs Suzuki sounds like an interesting pair on paper, but they kinda failed to deliver. I was expecting at least a ****1/4 match, but the one we got was much closer to ***1/4. Oh well, probably need a rewatch, but Im not going to do so in the foreseeable future."
[9.0] "Wirklich gute Show!
