[4.0] "holy shit they start this battle royal with Sid doing a pre-taped 20 second promo fucking WHISPERING and even though this is taped and they had more than enough time to ensure that the volume was loud enough so people could hear what he was saying, I still couldn't make it out. What a fucking joke. Well, Gorilla Monsoon made an executive decision to have a 20 man battle royal for the IC #1 contender spot. Again WWF is suffering from not really explaining why they're doing something, and vince yelling "look at this look at this" I will give them credit though, over half the contestants in this are significant talent, as opposed to a lot of these battle royals where it's all mid carders at best with a lot of scrubby dudes. I am not a fan of battle royals in general. I like the idea of 20 guys fighting for a shot at a title. But this kind of match should be DOMINATED by bigger, heavier guys and the smaller guys should be more obvious with their tactics to team up on these big guys. Instead it's just sorta random most of the time, although occasionally we do see some strategy. The last two guys are owen and MJ. The end of the match was actually pretty fun, how owen managed to stay alive while hanging on to the ropes and getting pounded by marty. Owen happens to win after some interference from Bulldog, which again, Bulldog getting way more work, good work at that, than Diesel. It's a shame they didn't put the title on Bulldog when they could have and instead keep pretending Diesel is worthy of it. With that said, it's so cringy whenever owen is on the mic. He doesn't know when to stop talking and he always just rambles. Wish they'd have given him a lot more coaching on that. They do this promo where they announce one of the survivor series matches, and honestly this makes no sense. Heels and faces on the same team? Owen and Razor on the same team, despite them matching up next week for the IC title and owen just now yapping about razor? Weird. Next match is "avatar" (al snow) vs Brian Walsh. I don't know if this is WWF's answer to the Eddie/Benoit match from last week on Nitro, but that's the only reason to me why they'd put a match like this on Raw. You know, thus far in my monday night war rewatch, I was of the opinion that even though the WCW clearly has the advantage here due to superstar power, WWF is still in a better position due to their stars' wrestling ability, Which I think may slightly still be true. But seeing Al Snow completely botch a move that Eddie or Benoit could do in their sleep, while he looks to be like 20lbs overweight and flabby? well I don't know if I can still stand by that opinion. Also, Raw has done a good job of avoiding squash matches since the war started, but I don't know any other way to describe what I just watched. And for the main event here we have the women's title match, which again is probably a good move because WCW has no women wrestlers and these two usually put on a good match. This is a solid move by Vince here. This match wasn't as good as some of their previous matches, but it was probably MOTN for Raw. Overall this was a show I wouldn't watch again. Wasn't horrible, just nothing really important happened here, most importantly really no stories progressed. Sure, Owen is set for his IC title match next week vs Razor, but they also have them teaming up together at the next PPV. I don't get it."

[3.0] "3/10 for the battle royal. Haven't seen the rest of the show but the WWF was starting to begin slowly pulling out of possibly it's worst time period, the 1995 season with it's horrendous gimmicks and awful main event pushes."

[5.0] "An OK RAW following an abysmal IYH ppv. The opening battle royal was decent, however it was far too crowded. The womens match was decent as well, with Alundra looking as good in the ring as ever with Bertha Faye being given her fair share of momentum. 5/10"

[2.0] "Underwhelming show, top to bottom. The battle royal ran far too long. The women's title match was solid, though a bit sloppy. But it's tough to main event a show with a belt and division that had been completely forgotten about for years. Overall it was a tough show to sit through."

[6.0] "A pretty good Raw episode, at least batlle royal took a half of the show so there was not many squash matches. Battle royal started like a... battle royal. But at the end it become more intence and interesting. The best match of that type I ever saw. Then we got a match from one of Al Snow's WWF goofy gimmicks Avatar. Awful match from an awful gimmick. Main event is pretty enjoyable for me. At least it's way better than at SS. The best Bertha Faye WWF match if don't count tag team one from Survivor Series. Hopefully Alundra Blayze woned her title back."

[4.0] "Not a good episode, the Battle Royale is okay, the second match is terrible even if short and the Women's match does not work at all. The second parte of the Battle Royale is the only good part of the show, there isn't much to watch otherwise."
