[4.0] "At the start of the show, Ramon is attacked by the united Teamsters--which sets the stage for the main event later in this episode. That's how it goes sometimes--later-on prominent performers like Kanyon (who puts up a decent fight) or Matt Hardy provide the backdrop for building up Tatanka and IRS, while in between, a colorful and friendly Adam Bomb takes it out on poor Mr. Ahrndt. After that, they recap all the ridiculous moments that Doink, Lawler, and the ragtag bunch have served up recently, while in King's Court, the midget madness implodes--in a bad way. Cruel. IRS with yet another cemetery vignette--that's actually the domain of a completely different WWF star--and the tax collector then clearly sets a course for confrontation with the Deadman with the quote 'Rest in Peace.' The final report for the 1994 Survivor Series brings together a lot of hype once again, which certainly can't hurt. The main event match isn't really a serious title shot, but ultimately serves as a multi-man brawl designed solely to further build up the match for the Series. The jobber matches are above-average in effort, the PPV is well-promoted, and Razor vs. Diesel delivers a solid performance. But what they pull off with the midgets in the middle of the show is, in my opinion, a minor disaster and costs it a point."

[6.0] "In my pre-summerslam raw review, I went on a mini rant about how the WWF hasn't figured out what a true go-home show should be, and took it a step further to say that the "go home show" actually hadn't existed yet. Well, this show actually was decent in serving that purpose. Right from the opening segment where Razor came out for his fight with Deisel, he gets jumped by the members of his survivor series opponents. And pretty much every segment and match from here on out had a point and made sense in the survivor series lead up. Also, like another commenter pointed out, the WWF used the opening segment to promote the main event, which seems like an obvious thing to do, but I guess it was semi-discovered in tonight's raw, which is pretty cool to see, if you're paying attention to stuff like that. While there were some squashes, each of them had a "jobber" who would eventually become much better known: Chris Kanyon, Joey Abs, and Matt Hardy. So for that, i'll give a bunch of points. This show had a pretty good tatanka match, which is insane because he's a garbage wrestler. But him an Kanyon had some very cool spots. It's a match that I thought was for sure going to be a straight up squash, but I wouldn't refer to it that way. Kanyon had a couple moments. I think I wrote this in a review a few weeks before, but Tatanka seems more interesting of a character now that he's with money inc. IRS fights non-emo clean cut matt hardy, in a match that most probably assumed would be a typical squash, but hardy shows off some great selling skills and character work with his stuff between him and dibiase. All of the taped segments of recaps or hype vids served a purpose and helped give context to why some of the matches are happening on the PPV. One of the hype segments for yokozuna/undertaker match had the NFL films replay music, which was interesting lol. I can say I'm not very hyped for this PPV though. I know this may sound contradictory because I'm giving them props on how they planned this Raw out with all of the hype and creating a true "go home", but to me it's too little too late and I just would have liked to see these feuds breathe a little, start them a few weeks before they did. The biggest reason this probably was not possible was because they tended to tape three episodes of Raw in one night. This is probably the biggest reason as to why the survivor series type matches just don't make much sense to me... But even so, the backlund/bret match didn't have any heat up until a couple episodes ago. They had 3 months to build to this and it just seems like they wasted a lot of time. The midget match isn't interesting to me either. I will say I'm interested in how Chuck Norris will play into the night, so I guess that's one thing. Also, the last match of the night was a true main event with a ton of superstars, and was a fun watch which will help their ppv series make sense. All this to say, as a stand alone episode, this was pretty good. As a go-home episode, this was also very good. I think if I randomly picked this Raw to watch then I wouldn't be pissed, and most of the matches were interesting. Minor recommendation here. This was easily the best Raw since summer slam. The last 3 months of Raw has been a chore."

[4.0] "Nothing too special here, but this week's RAW does a serviceable job as the go home show for Survivor Series. This might be one of the earliest examples of RAW using the opening segment to hype the main event match for that same show, which would of course become a staple in later years. The squashes were all decent enough this week, and the main event was enjoyable, even if the two have much better matches elsewhere. Nothing 'must see' here, but it gets the job done."

[3.0] "The main event was, of course, the highlight of this show. Fun match between Razor and Diesel which was fun, although slightly underwhelming. King's Court segment was too phony for my liking, and the I.R.S. segment was in poor taste setting up a poor feud with The Undertaker."

[6.0] "This was a solid RAW, although it didn't get me particularly excited for Survivor Series in one bit. Tatanka/Kanyon was a nice little semi-competitive squash, and Razor/Diesel was the usual solid-decent match by the two Kliqsters. Jim Cornette on commentary is a blast as always."
