[9.0] "Despite the awful opener, the rest of the event was really excellent. I thought I was going to be negative going in based on all the other negative ratings but I was surprised after about halfway through the second match that It was really great. Like I said in the first sentence, the opening match was the worst on the card. David Starr is absolutely terrible and he made the match terrible. It was boring as shit and the only good parts came from a few spots from Yehi. It was cringe seeing Starr trying to play a character to no response from the crowd. The few things I liked from Yehi was the exploder on the floor, him stopping on Starr's hands, and the Liu Kang type bicycle kicks while on the mat. Janela vs Webster started slow but by the end there were a lot of great moves that made it a pretty good match. Guevara vs Fenix was a wild time. They were hitting huge moves from about the first two minutes in. It probably would be considered a spotfest but it was very good and both men were great. Lee vs Sabre was really great. I always like Sabre facing off against big men like with Jonah Rock and Walter. While everyone trashed Trent vs Scurll, I really liked it. Scurll was actually serious in the match which is a change from most PWG matches I've seen him in. It had a good structure and it was an easy watch. I would definitely want to watch it again. Ring Kampf vs the Chosen Bros was an excellent tag team match. It had a slower feel which is a great change of pace in PWG. It was great seeing Ring Kampf for the first time and they looked very strong against Riddle and Cobb. The main event was fantastic with many great spot and the drama was really great and it was my pick for best match of the night. The post match speeches were very emotional with Ricochet's farewell and all the other wrestlers coming out. It was a great way to end the show."

[6.0] "Not PWG at it's most vital. One can't really complain, as they give anyone a chance to shine and this show was not exception. David Starr -vs- Fred Yehi [** 3/4] All kinds of random, but stuff landed so awkwardly hard that it felt like a fight. Not a pretty one, but a fight nonetheless. A unique one with an off-flow. Joey Janela -vs- Morgan Webster [** 1/4] I'm not yet on the Janela bandwagon. Too under-trained physically to take serious, which becomes a gigantic issue when he wants to execute the killer moves Webster entrusted him. Very dangerous! That top rope brainbuster which led to the finish a prime example of that! Sammy Guevara -vs- Rey Fenix [** 1/2] Reckless spotfest where Guevara was on a roll injuring the Mexican star on nearly every crazy thing he attempted. Keith Lee -vs- Zack Sabre Jr. [***] So much to love! A little clumsy in execution, but it? s still the grin of Lee against the slim of Sabre going at it in creative and unpredictable style. Trent -vs- Marty Scurll [**] They had a long fight, but didn't exactly fill it with much that made it interesting. Not terrible. Just not a clear enough thread to their game. Matthew Riddle & Jeff Cobb (c) -vs- WALTER & Timothy Thatcher - (PWG Tag Title) [*** 1/4] Ringkampf coming to PWG to do Ringkampf things to the tag champs Riddle & Cobb. I think my favorite thing was WALTER landing a big boot to Riddle? s face standing out on the apron. Ouch! Riddle returned the favor with knees! Ricochet (c) -vs- Chuck Taylor - (PWG Title; Guerrilla Warfare Match) [** 1/2] Ricochet doing a hardcore match with one of his best friends. Didn't love it. There are still some awesome stuff going on. The thing that made the biggest impact was Ricochet 630ing himself onto a pile of thumbtacks! Right after Chuck went piledriver crazy doing what had to be done before Ricochet joins WWE."

[7.0] "Starr vs Yehi was a fine match; it was a sad case of two great wrestlers having no chemistry (***). Janela vs Webster was just all over the place; I like Janela but these insane "epic sprints" he's doing in PWG aren't my bag, and Webster doesn't do much for me besides the Mod aesthetic; I honestly didn't even pay attention for half of this (*3/4, maybe more or less by a bit). Sammy vs Fenix was a solid match, but fell to a similar fate as the opener, and I think Fenix should've been in control more (***). Keith Lee vs ZSJ was a step up from the last three matches but not the best these two have had together, albeit still good; the finish came out of nowhere but it wasn't unbelievable because of Keith's power (***1/2). Poor Heavyweight Greg having to work with 2018's wacky shtick Scurll for 20 minutes; he tried his best and showed charisma and power but with Marty's bullshit dragging the match down he couldn't save it (*1/2). Ringkampf vs Chosen Bros was a very physical, well-paced tag match, but I don't think it ever got to "amazing" territory; this was par for the course for WALTER & Ringkampf, and by that I mean "just" a great match (****). Ricochet vs Chuckie T II started off pretty hot, devolved into a big spot trading hardcore match, but then started to really pick up later on; the pacing and storytelling as well as the roles played were great here, although the crowd favoring Ricochet who was the heel here dampened things some (****1/4). A fine show that really kicked it up with the title matches."

[6.0] "Chosen Bros vs Ringkampf was a fantastic tag match, and Ricochet vs Taylor was a good, and in places, surprsingly brutal no-DQ match, which also served as a nice sendoff for the NXT-bound Ricochet. Lee vs ZSJ and Starr vs Yehi in the opener were also decent. On the other hand, Janela vs Webster didn't do too much for me, and while I like Trent and Scurll, their match was a bit on the disappointing side (Scurll seemed to get too wrapped up in playing to the crowd). Bit of a mixed bag, but the Tag and World Title matches made it worthwhile."

[6.0] "Really weak show compared to your usual PWG standards. Opener was super dull with no heat. Janela/Webster wasn't much better, just bland spotfest. Sami/Fenix was pretty good but sloppy at times and the ending was a mess. Lee/Sabre was very good with big/small guys story. Scurll/Trent was awful. Scurll focused on playing crowd instead of his in ring work again and this sucked so bad. Tag title match was MOTN. Just excellent action from 2 of the best tag teams in the world. ME was very good, too but not on the level of their ASW 2 last year. Good way to say good bye to ricochet. Overall, i am pretty disappointed with this show."

[6.0] "David Starr vs Fred Yehi: Decent opener. There was some solid wrestling in the match, Yehi offence especially. He is very unique and I think in the PWG setting, he stands out even more. In a good way, of course. Starr was unremarkable . The only thing that I didn't like what Star not really selling Yehi stomps which is a shame. (***). Joey Janela vs. Morgan Webster: This wasn't very interesting. Hated the spot where there were 5 consecutive dives to the outside, I'm all for a spotfest but this didn't do it for me. (*¾). Rey Fenix vs. Sammy Guevara: Much better spotfest. It helps when you got the crowd totally into Fenix. Still, thought it peaked about early on and it lead to a cold ending which isn't a surprise. There was some scary moments in this match, Sammy almost not getting full rotation on the 630 and Sammy getting his foot caught on the rope assistant hunncaranna, landing on his head. (**¾). ZSJ vs Keith Lee: Really good match between these two, to the surprise of absolutely no one. Skull's targeting of Keith Lee's legs were excellent psychology and Lee sold it really well. Loved how much Lee's chops again Sabre's small frame was a factor in this match. Only criticism is that it felt way too slow. Don't know what it was but it felt like a crawl, it was still enjoyable to watch, just wish it was a slightly quicker pace. (***½). Marty Scurll vs Trent: All I could think in this match is if it will ever end. So dull. Normally love both of these guys but they didn't bring it at all. They had a 20 minute match where only 3 was actually enjoyable. They didn't need to go this long and the ending was really stupid. Powder spot and Scurll still loses, FUCK OFF. (¾*). Ringkampf vs Chosen Bros: Excellent Tag Match. Everyone involved was fantastic. Thatcher was awesome in this match. Loved it (***¾). Main event was a lot of fun. Ricochet bumped like a boss and got a great send off. The crowd was into everything and it was pretty enjoyable (***¼). Average show overall."

[5.0] "The show started off w/ 3 awful matches in a row in Yehi/Starr, Janela/Webster & Fenix/Guevara (*), thankfully it was time for a guaranteed banger in ZSJ vs. Keith Lee after those - and the lads sure delivered a GREAT match (****), Scurll/Trent was a 20 minute Scurll singles match in Reseda, so didn't have high expectations for it - it was pretty much exactly what I expected (*), Ringkampf vs. Chosen Bros was outstanding w/ great performances from all involved - MOTN (****1/4), Ricochet vs. Chuckie T was an awesome main event - great indy sendoff for Ricochet (***1/2). Overall the show was quite the mixed bag. Out of the 7 matches, 4 were awful & 3 were great."

[7.0] "Good show overall, nothing terrible whatsoever. Opener between Starr and Yehi was nowhere near as bad as reviews of the match had led me to believe, ***3/4. Janela vs Webster was outright dangerous on Janela's part, ***3/4. Sammy vs Fenix was as crazy as one would expect with a kind of cold ending, ***3/4. Zack vs Lee was great but could have been way better, ****. Trent vs Scurll was disappointing as they had little chemistry, ***1/4. Ringkampf vs Chosen Bros was a great stiff war, ****1/4. Main event was also great, but lacked a compelling story and was mostly about spots, ****1/4."
