[5.0] "Kind of a meh episode following last week's great one. Best match was Dakota Kai Vs. Rhea Ripley, but everything else was just average of evn below average. Most of the right people won, so no real complaints otherwise. Just a dull episode from the Mae Young Classic."
[3.0] "The episode start was weak, as Lacey Evans just isn't good yet. Then, Mia Yim tried her best against shayna Bazler, but the constant cutting to her MMA friends is a nuisance, altough less pronounced then the previous round. The second half of the show is better, as Rhea Ripley was a great foil for Dakota Kai, and LeRae/Savoy was spirited and pleasant. The show is not great and as many annoying flaws, but it is not embarassing disgrace either, just a big letdown."
[4.0] "Toni Storm -vs- Lacey Evans – (Mae Young Classic – Round 2) [* 1/4] Didn’t get any momentum into this battle so it was never a very exciting bout. Storm looked the best and also got the deserved win. Shayna Baszler -vs- Mia Yim – (Mae Young Classic – Round 2) [* 3/4] Okay shooter style wrestling for the ladies. Not too amazing, but definitely had something to broadcast to the WWE fans. Baszler gets to look like a real bad-ass. Dakota Kai -vs- Rhea Ripley – (Mae Young Classic – Round 2) [* 1/2] Competitive, but not enough excitement being created. Ripley looked impressive in loss, while Kai uses her footstomps to her advantage. Candice LeRae -vs- Nicole Savoy – (Mae Young Classic – Round 2) [**] Savoy was looking the best, but LaRea is the one married to a WWE wrestler and got the win. Sure, she’s got skills to, so there is a lot more to it than just that. But that selling point certainly doesn’t hurt her in this setting."
[4.0] "If one episode lasted 2 hours and more time would be spent on each match, I would give a higher rating. I can't feel it when the match takes 5-7 minutes. Matches on this level and in such a tournament should should last at least 10 minutes. Unfortunately I can give just 4. Anyway matches weren't bad."
[6.0] "Toni/Lacey: **1/2. Lacey isn't very good at all. Toni looked ok. Match was there. Mia/Shayna: ***1/2. Shayna's selling isn't good. Everything else about her is great. Mia looked really good. Match was really good. Kai/Ripley: ***1/4. Kai is a great babyface. Very good in the match. Rhea is very good in ring, character wise something is missing. Probably should be cast as a heel. Match was pretty good. Savoy/Candice: **3/4. Both seemed not at there best. Match was ok. This needed more time. Good show. 6/10"
[5.0] "Not quite as strong as episode 5, this one did have a good opener with Storm getting a slightly-surprising win over Evans (I like Storm a lot, but given how heavily Evans has been featured in promotional material for the tournament, I figured she'd be the one advancing). Candice looked good in her victory, and Dakota is a great underdog. While I do expect Shayna to be one of the tournament's finalists, I'm not yet totally sold on her matches."
